I had a good stay at Sonderia! I booked a twin room as a solo traveler. The area is close to Wenshu Monastery and takes 10mins to the train station Line 1 but doesn't feel that far. Bus stops are just in front of the hostel too. The bar area is a great spot to chill at night and meet other tourists.
Nicole at the reception was sooo nice and accommodating!! I was allowed to check out late (2pm instead of 12nn) and she even let me stay at the couch area at the bar so I can rest for an extra hour before my flight. She even bothered to lend me a comforter!! Thank you!! 🤍

Close to old town. Watch the face changing. Went to dujiangyan and sanxi dui from here. Better to grab a bus than taxi. Taxi is expensive. New Air conditioning.

Sonderia Hostel was the best stay of our China trip! The location is perfect—right near the old town, so you’re just steps away from all the charm. We also loved the stylish bar and the warm welcome upon arrival.
A highlight was the weekly events: the HotPot and Dumpling parties, both hosted by Penny. She created such a fun and social atmosphere, making it easy to connect with other travelers.
A huge thank you to Penny and Nicole! They were incredibly helpful, always around, and super friendly. Their excellent English made communication effortless.
We felt so comfortable that we extended our stay. Highly recommended!

Amazing hostel, mainly due to the awesome staff and the activities organized here Staff is super friendly, soeak english very well and will always helo you with anything - no matter the importance of the matter. Rooms were fine, cleanliness could have been better though (more thorough cleaning of floors and sanitary). Still would recommend!

Perfect stay at the perfect place. The staff is so kind and hospitable. They will help you organise your day and tell you what is worth visiting and how to do it. They speak perfect English, they give you a lot of suggestions on what to do, especially Penny, who helped us so many times and answered all the questions, and you can ask anything you need and they will take care of it. We had the best stay at Sonderia

Clean private rooms, helpful staff- especially Penny!
It’s about a 15 min walk from closest subway stations. They offer many services and give you good deals on coffee!
