The hotel facilities were fine and clean except for a faint but noticeable cigarette smell. We checked in around 11pm so we made up with it.
We picked this hotel because it was not far from the Panda Base and it was indeed convenient to go. There is good street food options around. The breakfast terrace is pretty enjoyable as well although food is average.
The main issue is that as foreigners, we used our passports to check in. But then they called our room at 2.30am saying there was a problem with our check in. When I asked if it could wait till morning (since we had checked in a few hours ago already) they said it was not possible. They then came to knock at our door. After a good deal of explanations (in Chinese) which they didn't want to listen, we got back to sleep. But we didnt sleep well as we were distressed by this incident. Apparently the hotel was not well aware of the visa-free policy applying to us. This in itself is understandable but waking us up to check is not acceptable. They should have come to us before we got to sleep.

The hotel is in a great location, very close to the panda base, and it is very convenient to drive or take the subway. It is also close to the zoo. It only takes more than 10 minutes to take the subway to Chunxi Road. The hotel has free parking. After we went to the panda base, we went directly to the highway next to it to go to western Sichuan. It was very convenient. There are many delicious foods around, the price is affordable, and the room is clean and tidy. If you plan to come back from western Sichuan, you will still stay at this hotel

The bed in the room is 1.5. When I booked it, I didn't look carefully and thought that a king bed was a king bed. As a result, the three of us slept very tightly. However, the service was very good, especially the girl at the front desk. The young man had a good attitude and upgraded a family room for free. The sanitation was also clean.
