Hotels in Jinniu Wanda Plaza/ChengDu Zoo, Chengdu

The staff were really nice and helpful, and the location was good — with excellent food stalls and a corner shop right outside, metro and bus is also easily accessible. Great view from the hotel room and really good beds. Don’t drop anything under you sofa, though. They do not clean there more than twice a year, hehe. For the price we paid, the hotel was “good enough,” but it felt old and not well cleaned. The elevator looked very worn. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast — honestly the worst we’ve had in two weeks in China. Cereal was served but with no milk (only warm milk from a machine), coffee was available but there was no water, no juice, no tea — nothing else to drink except lukewarm water or coffee. The food was all white, yellow or brown, greasy and highly processed. Dirty and ash tray in the windowsill. They say kids eat for free, but the breakfast lady still took all four of our food tickets (perhaps because our Nordic kids are tall). In the end, they could barely eat more than a bite. Thankfully, the street food outside was fantastic and saved our mornings. Kind staff and good location, but the hotel itself needs better cleaning and a complete rethink of the breakfast.

The hotel is located in the city center between the second and third ring roads of Chengdu. I prefer the mature urban interface of the main urban area. You can see the subway station from the hotel, which is just a few minutes' walk away. There is Longhu Tianjie at the subway entrance. This is the interface of the old city with both the fireworks and the modern urban style. There are many hotels here, most of which are high-rise apartments. This new single-family house is quite rare. I heard from the front desk that it is directly operated and not a chain franchise. The service feedback and response are very flexible and timely. The restaurant and room are also really clean.

The luggage delivery service to the airport was excellent and a truly worthwhile experience, allowing us to explore freely without any baggage concerns. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. The bed was quite soft, but the bedside sensor light was a bit too sensitive, often turning on automatically. Its proximity to the South Gate of the Panda Base made getting around incredibly convenient. We also highly recommend the Chuan Chuan Hotpot restaurant right across the street.

Absolutely fantastic place for families. Very modern rooms, designed with the panda theme. Good facilities. The kids even got the welcome gift. Convenient location if you want to see the pandas, just 5 min away by 3bike. As soon as I checked in, I received practical information via wechat. Communication was very easy. The staff was very helpful. They helped me to book the entrance ticket via wechat as there was no translation. They even used their phone number as I did not have the chinese number. Absolutely recommend.

This is a very nice hotel/apt in a nice neighborhood. I needed a refrigerator and thought to try it out for 2 nights. I ended up staying 8 nights. It was a large studio on the 20th floor facing the front of the hotel, which had an open view. The city lights at night were very beautiful. I love the huge windows and the feeling of being close to the sky as when I lay in bed, the only thing to see outside is the sky. The receptionist was very helpful to get me things that I needed and helped me to find the post office and the copy shop. I loved walking the streets as there were many restaurants and stores. My bathroom seemed to have mold, but it was just black spots. I am allergic to mold, and I couldn't smell any in that room. I also love having a washing machine in the bathroom. It was a great price and a great experience staying here. I will definitely go back to stay

The hotel is newly opened. The hotel lobby is equipped with a rest area on the first floor. The Chinese style elements are matched with the light luxury style and unique design. The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is 500 meters walk to Wanda Plaza. There are many restaurants in the mall. The hotel room price is moderate, the room configuration is relatively complete, and the room Xiaodu intelligent control also combines the traditional power supply method, fully considering the needs of customers. It is a very good design. The room bedding is very comfortable. The sparrow is small but complete. The front desk service is very good and the problem is handled very promptly. After the feedback, we were upgraded to the room type as soon as possible, which is still worth exaggerating. We booked a tatami king bed upgraded room type superior king bed room. The room is light luxury and simple style. The upgraded room faces the street. It is still very quiet when the windows are closed. The traffic sound is very small. The only fly in the ointment is that there is still some smell when the new opening. It is recommended that some green plants or aromatherapy can be placed in the room. I will stay here next time.

Wanting to visit the panda research centre early in the morning this hotel was our first choice in terms of location and we were not letdown. It is ideally located at the Metro station and both, the city as well as the research centre by Bus 409 can be reached very easy. The staff are super friendly and the room is fantastic. Would do it again! 

This hotel offers great value for money! The mattress was just the right firmness, the air conditioning cooled down quickly and quietly, and I slept soundly all night. I especially loved the projector; it was very clear and the screen was large, perfect for watching movies. The cleaning staff were very thorough, making my stay very comfortable.

The female front desk staff was incredibly snobby and mean-spirited. If you enjoy being discriminated against by service staff, then you're in luck here! It's ridiculously far from Chengdu city center; getting to any tourist attraction takes over 40 minutes by subway. The upside is that the subway entrance is right outside the door, but the downside is that taxi rides are very long. On my last night, I came back to find the shower gel completely used up. The cleaning staff had serviced the room twice, yet it apparently didn't occur to them to replenish it? Also, the 'smart' toilet was incredibly bizarre; the moment you sat down, it would start spraying water at your backside... That said, the interior environment is quite nice, and the view is decent. The overall decor is very new. If you can overlook the service issues, then this place might be for you. The design is very tasteful, the property is easy to find, and the transportation is extremely convenient – I'll give them credit for that.

I came to Chengdu after seeing this hotel online and seeing so many great reviews. I decided to check in with a sense of urgency. The lobby was incredibly clean and tidy upon entering. The front desk lady was incredibly helpful and even gave my child a panda-themed keychain, which delighted them. My excitement grew as I checked in. Entering the room, I was also impressed by the hospitality of the housekeeping staff. The comforters and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was immaculately clean. It was clear the staff were incredibly dedicated. This hotel truly felt like a warm and welcoming place, and I've already recommended it to my friends. A full five-star rating is a must!
