Fantastic location just 5 minutes away from the centre. Welcoming and friendly staff. Loved the rock themed rooms which is carried on throughout the pub. Decor is a little bit tired but that actually goes well with the theme. Breakfast is amazing set me up for the whole day. Had great sleep.

Wonderfully quirky hotel with each room having a rock theme. We were in the Pantera room. The bedside tables were drums! Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Little blip with the toilet but the plumber came quickly and recommended the best Italian ever. Breakfast was amazing. As the world's fussiest eater, they custom made my breakfast. Posted a few photos on Facebook and loads of friends want to visit. I can't recommend the place enough!

Stayed with my partner and kids (9 & 11) to break up a long journey and ended up staying 2 nights. We were in the Jim Hendrix family room which did feel quite tired, but it was spotless and the beds were comfortable. The downside was that the window didn't open and it was really hot. Due to licencing, kids can only stay in the bar until 9pm, but we could hear the music in our room (even louder in the bathroom) anyway. This wasn't an issue for us as I enjoyed being able to hear the music and the kids were still able to get to sleep OK. That said, next time I'd probably ask if there's a room on the floor above as we were woken up quite early by what I think was kids running around above us. The atmosphere in the pub is fantastic and the food is really good. We hope to return again at some point.

Lovely staff, nice greeting when I got there. Great room, quite big and a big comfy bed. Well looked after for breakfast which was very nice. Very close to the centre which was ideal. Has its own separate door to the rooms which made it easier to come and go as I please.

We had a very enjoyable stay. We stayed in the AC DC themed room, which was very spacious. It's quirky and I loved the drums as bedside tables. The pub itself is within the city centre and close to all the shops etc. Our sleep was great and the bed was ample. Shower and bathroom both decent. We had the breakfast in the morning, and it was super tasty! We would definitely recommend!

We stayed elsewhere this time but we have previously stayed at the saddle inn and really enjoyed our breakfast so I rang to ask if we could possibly eat there, Rebecca took my call and said of course we could . When we arrived Hannah was the perfect hostess, dealing with my mums requests with good grace and humour. Wonderful visit and we are definitely going again but staying there next time ❤️
