The room is gorgeous. Staff was super friendly and welcoming, gave us a thorough tour on arrival. Felt like we had the entire property to ourselves. If you have any doubts, this is a must see property. Everything you need all in 1 place; kitchen, bath, bed… its a studio set up. Roof top terrace has amazing views. Would absolutely return here

Splendid hotel with beautiful sea view, rooftop and pool, upgrade in a huge room without asking for it, and extremely kind and available personnel. The location is perfect. To sum up: a perfect stay! Thank you so much to the hotel and personnel.

Very attentive front desk and nice view from the roof top Cozy and comfortable beds. Restaurants and park are close by. The oxxo store was 5 minute walk from there. We enjoyed the sunset view, hoping to go back soon.

Absolutely beautiful rooms at ALA Residence. I booked for a stopover going to and coming from the ferry to Belize. On both occasions I was met with first rate service including arranging transportation to and from the bus station and being met at the ferry terminal. The hotel is on the boulevard where there’s a boardwalk and plenty of options for food. Juanita Lara met me at the ferry and checked me in, she gave me a complete and comprehensive briefing about the hotel and the surrounding area. I had booked a room but was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a master suite which was lovely. Large living area with a separate bedroom and a nice balcony overlooking the boulevard and the ocean. The hotel is close to the ferry and is ideally located if you’re going to or coming from Belize.

We got the last room at the hotel. The room was dark, no windows, and attached to a warehouse. We also found a sewer cover within the room which also made us uncomfortable. The water was so low that the tap barely poured, and smelt like salt water. The room initially stated king size bed, but was only a double. Parking was an issue as there was none assigned, you just need to find a place on the street. We also found a roach in the bathroom later that night. We do not recommend the guacamayo room.

Excellent hotel, it has a spectacular view, arguably the best in Chetumal. I loved this city and the Hotel, highly recommended. The staff were super attentive and friendly, the food goes without saying, I will stay again on my next visit in this place.
