The price is far below what you get for it. In evenings, there sometimes is a music or chatting by front desk, but refuses to let someone have a video play on phone softly . Says it is too loud but only staff is around. Room had mosquitoes and that is when I could not take it anymore and checked out early. Too far from everything and transport adds up quickly so best to pay a little bit more daily than suffer under conditions which don’t make any sense.

One of the worst hotels I’ve been at. Bad service with no English knowledge, we had to pay extra for another bed which was only a pice of wood with a 2 cm mattress. Didn’t feel welcome there and it was really loud. Only good thing was the 7eleven right next to the hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located near some of Chiang Mai's main attractions, including the Night Bazaar and the Old City. It’s tucked away in a quieter part of town, which makes it ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle while still being close to the action. Local shops and restaurants are within walking distance, which adds to its charm.
The rooms are clean and functional, though slightly outdated. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities provided were adequate—air conditioning, a mini-fridge, and complimentary bottled water. However, the décor could use a modern touch, and the bathroom, while clean, showed signs of wear. The Wi-Fi was reliable only in the room, which was a little uncomfortable to use lobby area to work or search the internet.
some staffs were not friendly due to the languages, most language uses are Thai. While the service wasn’t luxurious, it was warm and genuine, which added to the overall experience.
There’s also a simple breakfast available, which, while not extensive, featured fresh fruits, toast, and a few local dishes.
For the price, The Residence Hotel provides excellent value. It’s not a luxury stay, but it offers everything a traveler might need for a comfortable visit to Chiang Mai. The combination of its location, affordability, and lack friendly service makes it a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers.

The hotel is located on the main road, easy to travel, there is a 7-11 right in front of the accommodation. The male staff is cute, smiling, and very helpful. If I go to Chiang Mai, I will definitely go back to stay here again.
