lovely little hotel with all facilities. It's a great location, plenty of bars and restaurants situated in side the old town walls and walking distance to all places in the old town definitely recommend the place & location only 15 mins from airport

Meh. Didn't have my booking when I arrived, but desk clerk did scramble to make it happen pleasantly. Beds were really hard. Pictures shown do not necessarily reflect my experience, tho it did have touches of niceness (the De Nara up on the wall looked classy). The big downside for me was a "nightclub next door" (? or something) could be "felt" until 4am. There were other younger tourists around, so I suspect this area catered to more budget conscious visitors.

Amazing hotel great find. Location great in old town. Breakfast great and staff very helpful friendly. Room very clean and very comfortable. I could not fault this hotel for the price we paid. We hired pedal bikes to get around to see all the temples and hotel is also within walking distance from the local attractions markets etc. if you are looking for a nice place to stay you can’t go wrong with this hotel

We'd never been to Thailand and we didn't know what to expect, but we knew we wanted a simple local hotel, not a resort or name brand. We selected De Nara and we are delighted that we did. The lady behind the desk and her associates spoke limited English, but she managed to communicate with us and make us feel comfortable. The room was clean and well appointed with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was a good size with a rain shower, toilet, and sink. There was a basket of amenities including dental kits, mosquito repellant, and a hair dryer plus a coffee/tea making station. On our bed we found two towel bunnies, and bottled water was provided. Outside our room was our own table and chairs and there was a small yard and a beautiful swimming pool. In the morning a lovely, motherly woman had laid out juice, cereal, breads, etc. in the breakfast room. She handed us a menu and we selected what we wanted and how we wanted our eggs. She went into the kitchen and made the rest of our breakfast as if we were guests in her home. She spoke no English but we felt very comfortable. We stayed 3 days during which we experienced authentic Chiang Mai, and the lady at the desk directed us to an excellent elephant sanctuary where we fed and bathed with elephants. Down the alley there were several restaurants including one where we ate which had a 70's hippie vibe and superior Thai food. DeNara was in walking distance to the main street where we found many restaurants and stores as well as Tuk-tuks for easy transportation. DeNara was the perfect hotel for an authentic Chiang Mai experience and our only regret is that when we took pictures of our wonderful hosts, we never got their names.

Location is perfect, rooms are clean and staff is very friendly. We stayed here for one night as our SHA+ hotel whilst in quarantine and it did the job. Only main downside is that there is a club nearby which made a lot of noise throughout the night. Wasn’t the worst but not ideal.

Very welcoming and the staff very nice to the visitor. Well located. A quiet and clean place. The pool is almost always empty to relax and open until 10 at night. If we return to Chiang Mai we will definitely stay at this accommodation again.

Apart from the proximity to the city center and the staff who try to do the best they can, unfortunately there are many negative points. Regardless of the owner, a nightclub emits considerable bass every evening until 4 a.m. 7/7. Very dirty floors cleaned with a mop without washing or rinsing water 😡. The swimming pool on the ground floor in the passage so no one uses it. On the ground floor, the noise from the pumps supplying the aquarium is very disturbing. The hearty breakfast always the same ingredients. The photos on the site do not reflect reality at all. There are cheaper and better quality hotels in Chang Mai.

Charming hotel in a slightly noisy area because of a nearby nightclub but it didn't bother us since we were on the ground floor, you can hear the bass a bit but it's okay. On the other hand, the sound of the water flowing in the garden is rather unpleasant. There is no real balcony, so no privacy, it's a shame. When you want a balcony, it's to be alone and quiet. The room is spotless, the bed super comfortable, the facilities and bathroom very good. The only downside was the smell of sewage coming up into our room. Room 105 is therefore to be avoided. The staff is very kind and flexible, there is nothing to complain about, the customer service is impeccable.
