Location: Melia is situated in the city center, just 2 minutes away from the night market and nearby streets. There are plenty of massage shops surrounding the hotel. Room: I booked a family room, which is very spacious; however, the ceiling feels a bit low. Service: The service was excellent, with friendly smiles everywhere. The check-in and check-out process was very quick. Vibes: The overall vibe was great, though the weather was not ideal, which limited our enjoyment of the swimming pool. It’s a little outside the city centre, by the other side of the river which turned out to be a busy, lively and much cheaper area, full of boutiques, dining options and beautiful bars with terraces over the river, and only 10 min walk to the center, so I definitely recommend staying in this area, also a lot quieter. The rooms are good and clean, spacious and bed is comfortable. Pool area is also lovely, I was there all by myselff, felt like it was a private pool. My only “but” would be breakfast, which consisted on a coffee and a wrap. Not sure now if we paid for it or it was included in the room rate, so won’t make a big fuss about it, but it definitely needs to improve

Good budget hotel overall. Great location near the famous cake shop and Sanpakoi Market for authentic Northern Thai food.and self service laundry at Tori Wash , can benefit for travellers . Colonial-style decor fits the name well. Suggestions - Add doormats (inside door & bathroom). - Staff should proactively give info (WiFi, breakfast) at check-in.”

Traveling with family and friends, we booked two separate reservations for the hotel. I've already reviewed the first one, so I won't go into too much detail here. I just want to add that the swimming pool is exceptionally clean, and the kids absolutely loved it!

The property is located by the Ping River, offering a peaceful retreat for those seeking a quiet place to stay. The room was in good condition, though the swimming pool appeared quite old and could use some tidying up. We traveled as a family and were overall satisfied with our stay. However, a little more attention to cleanliness would enhance the experience.

New hotel! Everything new: doors, windows, stairs! Excellent pillows and beds! Walking distance from The night bazaar! Staff extremelly friendly! Ask for coffee and they will make it for you! Ask for a taxi and they will call it! Will be back if i visit Chiang Mai again!

It was an amazing stay - 2 night's. Room very clean, air condition was great, the garden around was absolutely gorgeous! The owner super nice and always happy. We could leave our luggage after stay until the flight in the evening. Also great base to walk to chiang mai. 20 by walk to center and 15 min walk to street food, mcd,.. I recommend for all.

I will definitely stay at this one when I come to Chiang Mai in the future. After comparing several places, this one has the best environment and is clean. The service will also exceed my expectations. The boss at the door will even ride a motorcycle to exchange money for me. I am very touched.

During my recent trip to Chiang Mai, I found a hotel that offered excellent value for money. Being part of the Novotel chain, the service was excellent. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable wooden floors, and the bed was large, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom and sink were separate, which was convenient, and the amenities were well-stocked. The pool and gym were directly connected, making it a great place to enjoy a swim after a morning workout. There was also a poolside bar and a small food court-style food court for light meals and drinks. The entire hotel blended a modern feel with traditional Thai ambiance, making the lobby, hallways, and décor a delight. The location was also good, and the quiet atmosphere was perfect for relaxing. The lack of Korean guests made it a great way to experience the local atmosphere. However, the lack of a sidewalk in front of the hotel made it a bit inconvenient. The best part was that I could enjoy all this at a reasonable price.
