The room is not very soundproof, the tap water is small, the room is quite big, there is a shopping mall around, and it is convenient for eating

The location is very good, inside the leisure park, with many restaurants very convenient; the sleep is comfortable, Premier's slogan is to have a good sleep; the breakfast is very simple, I have stayed in London Airport and the breakfast was very good, but the breakfast in Chichester is super simple... I guess I seldom eat breakfast in the hotel.

Hotel was basically ok. What I would expect from Premier Inn. However, the restaurant was a little dirty and the service was poor. There were no coffee mugs and I asked for some. The server agreed to fetch some, but 5 mins later they had not arrived & I found the server sitting in reception on their mobile phone. I had to remind them about the mugs. Furthermore, it took 15 minutes to get our order placed for breakfast and a further 35 minutes for it to arrive. Very poor service. The restaurant was on the untidy and dirty side.

This is our 2nd visit to this hotel. We arrived at 4:30pm on Wednesday 21st May only to discover that the lift wasn't working & customers had already been moved to the ground floor because of it. I'm disabled so as you can imagine this was a nightmare for me - I had booked a Premier Plus room & all those rooms are on the 2nd floor.......why is that?!?! I struggled that evening & unfortunately didn't have a great night because of the pain in my legs having to use the stairs several times. The lift was eventually fixed the next morning but only when we were checking out - I still had to struggle to come down for breakfast the next morning. There was terrible delays at breakfast due to short staffing. There was only one woman having to manage reception & serve customers in the dining area. A member of staff arrived from another branch but I didn't see him but in the end a member of management came to assist. It took far too long for help to arrive which was so unfair on the poor woman who did her ultimate best but it was too much for her to manage on her own. The food was lovely as usual but the delays ruined my experience. We are returning to Chichester in July but we will be looking for alternative accommodation. I paid far too much on this visit & was very unhappy going home yesterday which is a pity.

This was our second stay at Chichester Southgate Premier Inn, and once again, it offered exactly the kind of peace and comfort we needed—this time under slightly more stressful circumstances. I stayed on Sunday night ahead of a hospital procedure, and then again on Tuesday night after being discharged. My husband, Peter, stayed the full three nights to be nearby, and the Premier Plus room was a real win for him. The bed was as wonderfully comfortable as always, and I’ve long been a fan of Premier Inn’s blackout curtains (seriously, they’re a game-changer). Peter especially appreciated the quiet environment, the rare luxury of full control over the TV remote, and the mini fridge in the room, which came in very handy during his solo stay. The shower was another highlight for him—powerful, hot, and perfect for unwinding. He also enjoyed a hot breakfast each morning that was beautifully cooked and nicely presented. That said, the only aspect that could use improvement is the breakfast process. Unlike other Premier Inns where there’s a buffet, this location requires you to place an order with staff. While this is fine for most, Peter has high social anxiety and finds ordering face-to-face difficult. Thankfully, knowing the routine from our previous visit helped, but a self-serve or hybrid option would make the experience far more accessible and relaxed for people like him. All in all, it was another restful, clean, and well-organised stay—one that helped ease the strain of a hospital trip. Thank you, Premier Inn Southgate. We’ll absolutely return—hopefully just for leisure next time!

Firstly the hotel is very easy to find just off the A27 by the leisure centre and has ample free parking. On our arrival we were greeted by Douglas who was smiling and very helpful and our twin bedded room was large, airy and the bed was very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the meal was excellent and the staff were again very good. Douglas was on hand to help too. We had breakfast and it was great to see that the cooked breakfast was made to order and not a buffet. Again the food was excellent and the staff were really good. All in all a great and relaxing overnight stay and we'll be staying here again.

The bed is so uncomfy. I travelled with my mother from ireland to see the country and her experience is permanently ruined.she has limited mobility and the lift didn't work they couldn't even give me a room on a lower floor plus it smelled damp.

Very slow check in as team member couldn’t get computer to work. Lift out order so up the tired and gloomy stairs. Premier Plus room very good as usual. Three attempts to get on to Ultimate WiFi including 2 trips back down the gloomy stairs to reception, a long wait while 2 team members figured out how to sell a stuffed bear to another guest and 2 voucher codes before it worked. Beer in the bar a month out of date. Free glass of wine to compensate. No breakfast buffet which isn’t an issue in itself but when time is limited it would useful to know the night before. Having pre-paid, it was effectively £10 for 2 small pastries and a glass of orange juice. Won’t be back to this one, not on a par with other sites.
