Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center

With the understanding that this is a new hotel, im not terribly disappointed or mad. Kinks are still being ironed out, but I have some helpful feedback. Provide a little more seating closer to the front desk. There were only two armchairs awkwardly sitting in a vast space. Also recommend benches outside near valet. Add More pool umbrellas, and have them dispersed more evenly. Noticed a majority of umbrellas near Sunny’s pool, vs the other more family oriented areas. Sharpen up food service at the pool. Took us over an hour to receive food. Got charged for parking twice (resolved). Overall still a beautiful hotel. Its definitely worth a day pass for the pool amenities! But would probably not book a room again anytime soon due to overall value and growing pains.

There is no one at this resort who picks up phone at Front Desk. I have been trying to get hold of human to speak to for last 1 hour but no use. I needed to modify/change my reservation and speak to someone at front desk ! No point in building a fancy resort if they cannot back it up service. Seriously - 1 Hour and NO ONE picking up the phone ! I spoke with Branson at Front Desk and requested modification of reservation as my son woke up under the weather. I requested if they would allow me to move this reservation to a different date or help cancel. We missed the cancellation window by 8 hours. We've had similar issues in the past with other Marriott properties when they have been very accommodating but Not this one. Branson had no empathy and did not make any effort to help us. Extremely disappointing ! Wish they had better management !
