Little gem in Chulmliegh. Great place to take a few days out of a very busy life. Parking available at no cost. Bedroom was welcoming, sleeping on a cloud. The best sleep I have had in a very long time. Dinner and breakfast was well cooked and absolutely delicious. We will be back next year.

2 night stay. No kitchen staff for both breakfasts. 1st morning told to use local cafe and pub paid the bill. 2nd morning only offered cereal and toast. Disappointing because food in the restaurant in the evening was lovely. Our room was spacious and the bathroom with shower cubicle was spot on.

Had a lovely meal with the fay While staying near here. Service was very good and they are extremely dog friendly. Could fault nothing with the food, all freshly prepared and served with a smile. Will be going back to try some of the other options when we are back in the area.

We had THE best Sunday lunch, the warm welcome was a breath of fresh air and the service was fab. It was so good we went back for baguette lunch 2 days later - was sooooo good. 100% recommend. We’d definitely go back when we’re in the area again.

Walked in on the off-chance after long journey to rural campsite, on Good Friday. It was busy but staff very welcoming nonetheless. Got us a table right in the thick of it where you wanna be on a Friday night. Live music was great foot stamping stuff, menu was brilliant, I could've eaten all of it, food was delicious, beer was perfect, overall superb atmosphere. A pleasure to find a real country pub that exists and hasn't gone all "gastro" but stuck to it's roots and has a friendly local crowd as a result. Thumbs up!

Please don't consider using this licensed premises. It's rarely open, therefore ullage is extremely low, leading to a poor standard of ale. Staff are rude, service slack, it's a wonder this isn't in administration!! It was, historically, a vibrant spot, and complimented the other pub in Chulmleigh. Now, you're lucky to find it open. I'll never waste my time going here again. Use the coaching Inn, 200 yards up the road!!!!
