The hotel has an excellent location in Innsbruck. Everything can be easily reached on foot or by public transport. The staff at reception is super friendly, attentive and helpful.
However, the breakfast area and the service staff there are critical.
On Sunday an hour before the end of the breakfast buffet, yawning emptiness was the order of the day. Not only was the service staff missing, there was also a lack of food. There was no more bread, no toast, only 3 rolls, there were no Danish pastries or croissants. There were no vegetables such as cucumbers, peppers, etc. There was only jam and honey and packaged Nutella. The rest of the jam was empty. Egg dishes and Co were available, but cold.
On top of that, the service staff from breakfast was rude and unfriendly. The young ladies were audibly arguing in the open kitchen area and complaining about the guests. Guests' requests for bread, cheese, etc. were only dismissed with ”we don't have it, it's over”. The inappropriately awkward tone of voice and inability to accept negative customer feedback made the atmosphere very uncomfortable.
All in all, the breakfast for a 4* hotel, with quite stately room prices, can only be rated as unsatisfactory.
The shower in the room also had to be complained about, since the shower head was heavily calcified and almost no water came out. The exchange by the caretaker worked well. Only the hose was too short to be able to use the wall bracket. So you had to shower by hand in the sloping roof.
Hotel room #503 was beautiful and reasonably spacious for a deluxe room. With a small balcony (very nice) at the back and with a wonderful view of the Nordkette.

It is a hotel with a very good location next to the train station. There are many convenience stores inside the train station. I traveled to visit the festive Christmas market within walking distance. And likewise, the city is not big when staying at this hotel. You can take a walking tour to see the Innes River. and pastel-colored buildings conveniently Including various tourist attractions, it is easy to walk. Plus, the view from the bedroom of the snow-capped mountains is very beautiful. The staff were very nice, good service, most impressive.

The hotel is situated in a residential area on the outskirts of Innsbruck, but a bus stop just outside the hotel and a 15 minutes ride into town makes this a convenient hotel for tourists. The room and sanitary facilities were OK, but we missed not having a fridge or a coffee maker/kettle in the room. The breakfast buffet was sufficient, but not very exciting. Dinner, however, was very good: I tried the local black sausage as main course (at the proprietor's recommendation), and his suggestion of a local red wine was on the spot! Nevertheless, I must conclude that the room price was higher than any of the other hotels we stayed at in Austria, and we did not feel we were getting the proper value for our money.

The concierge guy was most courteous when we arrived very early in the morning to Munich, felt welcomed. He pointed us to what we can do and showed us a nice restroom so we can freshen up.
The room size is good, well designed. Decor highlights German Alpine traditions in a graceful manner. Feeling relaxed when you enter the hotel. The breakfast offers good and plentiful choices. Especially liked their use of tea leaves instead of tea bags.
From start to finish this hotel was excellent. The check in prior to arrival saved loads of time. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our whole visit. The room was lovely and roomy enough for 2 people. The bathroom was spotless. The shower was great with a choice of shower heads. Tea and coffee making equipment was available. The safe was FOC. Beds were made daily and the room was kept very clean. We needed a hairdryer and this was brought to us immediately. The only thing I could say about the room was it was a bit hot and with the window open was a bit noisy as it backed on to the main road - but we didn’t find it too much of a problem. The hotel supplied complimentary team passes for the duration of our stay which was great as the tram stop was just outside the hotel. Although we didn’t use the spa area this looked fab and was very new, clean and the views were to die for. The breakfasts were lovely with loads to choose from. Omelettes, eggs and other hot food was cooked fresh. If I went to Innsbruck again I would definitely stay in this hotel.

I stayed here for 3 nights, reception is only staffed between 3 and 7, I arrived by train at 12 so I left my luggage in the station lockers for 3hrs. I would say this was quite a basic hotel, it had a TV but no fridge, tea making facilities, safe or hairdryer. The breakfast was ok, bread rolls, croissants, meat, cheese, boiled egg, cereals, coffee, fruit juices. My pillow was very soft so I requested a second pillow via the booking app which they duly obliged the next day. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the train/bus station and also to the old town, however it is on a busy street, the traffic noise was not an issue but the groups of people talking loudly on the street at 3am was. This happened on 2 of the 3 nights I stayed.

Location: The hotel is located in the old town of Innsbruck, a 15-minute walk from the railway station and a 5-minute walk from the Golden Roof, which is very convenient.
Facilities: The hotel is very mini, the store is small, the elevator is small, the room is small, but it is clean, the room does not have a hot pot, you need to ask the front desk, breakfast is ok, bread, ham, fruit, drinks and salmon.

Really impressed with this hotel! Excellent service from staff throughout. Comfortable and well-equipped room, great bathroom with plenty of instant hot water. Some nice touches in the room, like a Nespresso machine with a small selection of capsules and sugar (no milk provided though, but you can pick this up easily at a nearby supermarket and keep it in the in-room fridge). Reliable and fast free WiFi in the room. No USB charging adapters built-in, you will need your own. Efficient air-con, if a little noisy. Great breakfast, with plenty of choice including some hot food, in the top-floor restaurant with rooftop views. The hotel does not have its own restaurant for midday or evening meals but there is plenty of choice within a short walking distance. Personal favourites - Cafe Arkadenhof and Fischerhäusl. City centre location is excellent. If you arrive by bus from the airport (as I did), it is a 5-minute, level, walk from the bus stop to the hotel. The same stop also for buses and trams to the main railway station. Other buses and trams pass close to the hotel. Don't forget to pick up your free Innsbruck Welcome Card from hotel reception. This gives you free use of public transport within the city area and beyond as well as other benefits for the length of your stay. I also recommend the VVT (local transport company) app for your phone to help you find your way around by public transport. Stayed 4 nights in September (luckily with excellent weather!).

Comfortable rooms, great service and good facilities. The bar, pool area and reception all are lovely. Just round the corner to the old town and shopping, restaurants very close by. You can walk to the funicular station for Nordkette. I was very impressed with the excellent service at reception and the bar

GGuest UserI can’t praise these apartments enough. If you are looking for something between a hotel with facilities that you pay for but never use and fully self catering, then this is an ideal option. We were sent an email with clear and detailed information a few days before arriving. Our apartment was clean, compact and offered everything we needed. There was a jug of water in the room that we could top up and keep cool in the fridge. Our room was cleaned daily and coffee cups for the machine and milk cups were replenished daily. Even though we didn’t put our towels on the floor indicating that we wanted them changed, we found clean towels in the bathroom every day. This could have been due to the very high temperatures the first few days we were there. The room remained warm once the outside temperature had dropped and we returned that evening to find a humidifier in the apartment. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Jjing wenthe stay was great with the wonderful alps view. appreciate that we have gotten an upgrade making the stay very comfortable. the receptionist was nice and even gave us recommendations and transportation card. location is extremely good, near to the old town. jus to note that the bathroom is quite transparent even though there are curtains to cover. breakfast was ok. overall, the stay was comfortable and pleasant!

SSekokWe booked a Panorama Deluxe room for 3 nights, checking in on Sept. 20th. The property is centrally located along the train station and features a parking directly connected by elevator. The “piece de resistance” of this tall building is clearly its stunning view on the town and surrounding mountains. We were lodged in room 1104 on the 11.th floor which is the top floor featuring rooms, as the 12th accommodates the lounge/restaurant where breakfast is also served. Curiously, the hotel doesn’t have a lobby in a traditional sense: the concierge & cashier counter can be found in a small separate office on the basement and the elevators to the rooms are located in a small hall, across a glass door, which opens directly on Brunecker Street. Access security to the floors being managed by room key-card, you can enter/exit the property and the parking with no contact to any staff at all. Our room was a corner one, rather large, beautifully architected and nicely furnished in a contemporary metropolitan style. From virtually any point of the room (bathroom included) it was possible to spot some additional detail of the stunning panorama. The room was comfortable and quiet (in spite of the near busy train station), breakfast was good and we definitively had a very good time here in Innsbruck.

CChengweidongBecause the hotel is located on the pedestrian street, I accidentally drove my car 🚗into it and was chased by a police car 🚓 and fined 25 euros. The parking lot 🅿️ is located in the basement of the commercial center opposite the hotel. I asked twice before I found it. In addition to the mall, you can see the Anna Column. The hotel is diagonally opposite, so you need to observe carefully 👀 The breakfast is very good 👍 The room facilities meet the travel needs, the location is particularly good, there are attractions and shopping places around, there are various restaurants and bars on the street at night, and there are music lovers playing and singing in the afternoon 🎤, if you like, you can give them a coin or any fee you think is appropriate

GGuest UserWe originally had our main hotel stay booked in Hintertux. We were paying a lot for the hotel and after considering our long journey from Australia, we figured it may make sense to stay close to the airport at Innsbruck for our first day to get some sleep and continue our journey to Hintertux the next morning. We saved quite a bit of money making this decision and made a great choice! We walked to Penz West from the airport with four suitcases and four back packs. It was five minutes on foot and that was in thick snow! The room was way beyond our expectations for a hotel so close to the airport. It was very spacious, beautifully decorated and included breakfast that was simply magnificent. The hotel also had a wellness area including sauna, steam room, cold plunge shower and a gym. The price was extremely reasonable given all it had to offer us. The staff were very helpful and gave us some local tips about the town of Innsbruck (beautiful Christmas markets) and some mountain trips. We were too tired to do the mountain trips but enjoyed Innsbruck. We could easily have spent more time in this beautiful place and would not hesitate to book Penz West again if we are travelling this route. Mr 11 and 12 year old loved this place!

Well located in the old town. A 10 minute walk from the main train station. Reasonably priced. Close to many restaurants and interesting sites. Luggage storage available. We did not have breakfast there. Darius, at the front desk, was superb. Very helpful, offering suggestions about hikes, bike trips and sites. He is dedicated to customers. I hope the hotel realizes his value. The room was older but adequate. The doors in the shower didn't close so there was some water on the floor. No AC but that is typical of many hotels in Austria and Germany and they provided a fan. Free eBikes were great. The paths along the river, on both sides, offered great views and enabled us to ride for hours. I would definitely stay there again.

Jjobs_67The Alphotel Innsbruck is probably the worst hotel we've ever stayed at! But we had no choice since we were on a tour package and this was the hotel that Gate1 chose for our itinerary. We weren't the only tour members who did not have a good stay at this hotel. Our tour group had a long day and we were scheduled to arrive late so we were all pretty tired when we arrived. Unfortunately the room we were assigned to didn't even look or feel exceptionally clean and I'm surprised I didn't take photos of the room! Comparing posted photos of the rooms on TA our room looked much older and didn't even have a real chair, but only one of those small round ottomans. And that ottoman was dirty and stained, so we didn't want to sit on that! The bedspread had that ”ick” factor, so we removed it but at least the sheets were clean. Carpet looked grungy so we made sure to wear our slippers and not walk barefoot on it. Regret not taking pictures of the room now. We've stayed at hotels with older or ”tired” decor but they were at least neat and clean, but not at this hotel! Now the ”fun” part was our bathroom door. I was getting ready to take a shower and went into the bathroom, but wanted to use my own soap and toiletries, so I went out of the bathroom and my husband (who was standing in front of the bathroom, looking at the closet or something right across from the bathroom) shut the opaque glass bathroom door. I went back to the bathroom and tried to open the door and it was locked! It was one of those simple privacy type locks where there's usually a pinhole that you can usually press and it'll pop open. Unfortunately, there was no pinhole but a screw so I tried twisting the screw but the door remained locked. Husband tried but it kept turning and he didn't have any tools so he called the front desk and they sent the maintenance guy up. The maintenance guy looked at the door and tried twisting the screw with the same results and said he needed to go get his tools. He returned with his small toolbox and tried several screwdrivers, with no luck. Then he tried using a small drill to remove the screw and still couldn't get the door unlocked. Meanwhile, we were sitting on the bed and watching tv since there was nothing else we could do. I texted our friends who were also traveling in the tour group and assigned to the room right next door to let them know what was happening. And to apologize to them for the loud racket, as the maintenance guy went and got his large power drill and was basically removing the entire door knob and panel. So the guy had to destroy the whole door knob panel because the door lock screw or nut inside the panel was probably stripped and couldn't unlock or open the door; so if I was on the other side of the door I would have been stuck in the bathroom! Other hotel guests across the hall were opening their doors to find out what the loud racket and noises and disturbance was. This whole problem took the poor m

GGuest UserI really wanted to like this place, right in the middle of the old town with large rooms by European standards. But when the manager threatens to call the cops and makes your sister-in-law cry based on a booking error, well you can only rate it one star. We were two families. My sister-in-law had a family of 5 and booked one of the rooms on ******* that had 2 double beds and a couch. ******* only let her enter 4 guests, which she figured was a limitation of how ******* worked. In any case, it didn't matter, as my family of 4 had booked a different room with the same number of beds, but which definitely slept 6, so we could take an extra person. Fast forward to check-in. When the manager asked my sister-in-law how many people she had, she said 5, at which point he went ballistic. He started calling her a ”f***ing American”, told her to get out of the hotel, and threatened to call the cops. It took several f-bombs later and a bit of help from the rest of the staff (which seemed dismayed at the manager's behavior), until he let her stay. At this point she was in tears. Completely abhorrent behavior. That manager needs a new profession. OH, and everything the review below said about the heat is 100% true. The building is designed like a greenhouse with a big open atrium with skylights at the top. This traps the heat in the building and sends it to the top floor. If you are unlucky enough to have the top floor rooms like the Stadtturm, you will bake. The highs during our stay topped out at only 80 degrees, but you can't get the heat out of the room with one tiny window. They might even promise you a portable air conditioner, but they don't vent it, so it just spits cold air out the front and hot air out the back, for no net gain. NEVER stay on the top floors in the summer here.

The hotel is on a hill on the other side of the Inn, in an alternative quarter of Innsbruck - a pleasant surprise. Trendy bars & curious workshops/ craft shops are all nearby. Our room was warm - almost overheated, and apart from the fan which rumbled once you switched the bathoom light on, and the dearth of sockets to charge a phone, everything was decent, including breakfast. If you request ”mountain view” as we did - we found you need to twist your neck to see beyond the house opposite, but it's there. However I'd like to warn potential guests that the hotel doesn't necessarily reply to emails, or pick up the mobile phones on their website. It made us worried, as our plane had been diverted, and it was getting late. As I made the reservation months earlier, I tried to check someone would still be there late evening. I couldn't get through. On arrival, there was noone at the reception, and once the receptionist arrived, he chided my husband for using the bell provided. We were told that our email wasn't received, no explanation was given re mobile calls. The landline may work - I am not sure. Also, it is worth knowing that the hotel entrance is on a sloped side street. We were lucky that there was no ice on the day we had to wheel our cases to the nearest bus stop higher up the hill.
