Best Maishofen Hotels

Visited the hotel with girlfriends on a long weekend ski break. The hotel is wonderfully situated with lake views at every window. We had a twin room, with a separate shower and toilet. There was a lot of additional furniture in the room, including a desk and chair. We did a bit of furniture removal with the help of housekeeping and made the room perfect for two of us sharing. Towels and sheets where changed on the 3rd day. Buffet breakfast with hot and cold options set us up for the days skiing. A free shuttle to the closest lift (it’s not far but all uphill so don’t try it in ski boots) went every 30 mins in the morning. Dinner options are chosen in the morning, with 3 courses and a salad bar. On Sunday night there was a buffet style dinner, with lots of variety. They don’t offer a post ski hot drink or cake as some hotels do. There was soup on offer. However there is a well stocked tea/coffee station in the room and lots of places to buy snacks from as you come back to the hotel. The spa and fitness area was in the basement but again overlooking the glorious lake vista. Swimsuits are optional in the steam/sauna so may not suit us reserved Brits! The ski area is fantastic and we where blessed with fresh snow each day and all 3 ski areas can be accessed from the shuttle bus drop off.

I travelled alone to meet some friends in Zell am See. As I don't ski, staying at the Hotel Salzburgerhof was a dream. It was elegant and luxurious. The food was amazing, with a five course dinner in the evening accompanied by some beautiful Austrian wines. I enjoyed the homemade strudel and cakes served in the relaxing bar in the afternoon and a wonderfully made Expresso Martini in the evening. The gym and Spa are excellent. The heated outdoor pool is magnificent surrounded by the snowy peaks. There are scheduled activities in the spa in the mornings and afternoons such as Aqua Aerobics, Stretching etc. The staff throughout the hotel were so helpful and courteous, they made my stay in Hotel Salzburgerhof memorable. I will most certainly come back.

My girlfriend and I booked this beautiful hotel in Zell Am See for a ski holiday! From the off, the hotel was fantastic, from the most beautiful interior/exterior and attentive/welcoming staff. We were initially greeted with a welcome Prosecco as our room was just being finished. We arrived three hours prior to our check in time so didn’t mind waiting a little. We were half board and so had breakfast and dinner included. All the food was fantastic. Breakfast was filled with different choices from continental, an egg station where the chef would make omelettes or different eggs, bread and bacon/sausages as well as cold breakfasts like fruit, pastries and cereals. Dinner was a four course meal where you could make your choices at breakfast and there was a great variety. The lamb and the veal were delicious. The bar was a beautiful cosy area with a roaring fire and you were made to feel at home. For our room, we chose the most basic option which for us was perfect. It had a large bed, a sofa, a seperate chair and a nice big TV. Bathroom was again, lovely, shower/bath and plenty of space. Hotel was about a 1 or 2 minute walk to the main town where there are plenty of bars and shops. The sauna and pool area again was fantastic, four different sauna/steam room options and a lovely indoor pool with a few jacuzzi areas. We used the boot room as well and had heated boot facilities so our boots were always dry the following day. Overall, a fantastic stay and would definitely return to Hotel Tirolerhof with family/friends and recommend to anyone! Thank you to all the staff at the hotel, you really made our week!
