Best Avoca Beach Hotels

Really impressed with the accommodation and staff attitude. But the 2 bedroom unit was extremely cold, with nowhere near enough bedclothes, however the beds were comfortable if you could sleep for the cold. The heating was a single gas heater downstairs..we ran it from the time arrived until it switched itself off in the early hours when I shivered downstairs to reignite it. It was extremely smelly..we reported this and I hope it will be investigated. The floors near the windows and in the downstairs toilet were running in water from condensation...I am not sure what hot weather would be like as there's only pedestal fans We, no air-conditioning or ceiling fans.We bought breakfast at the restaurant..not a set breakfast as stated but a lacart..not too expensive and good. Considering the unit layout and price I would go there again and it is in a beautiful part of the world...but Not in hot or cold weather.

Sunday. Reception closed. No key box code text so had to use phone. They said it was because we had a UK number....but two other Aussie guests hadn't had the text either, so that didn't make sense. Key was released remotely. No problem. Lovely studio. Well equipped. Some crockery and cutlery were dirty. We always wash what we're going to use anyway. Paintwork tatty, sofa stained, a/c kept clicking, shower cubicle paint chipped and tiles cracked but nowhere is perfect when it comes down to it. It was still perfectly functional. Good car park. Fabulous location. Comfy bed. Quiet. It was a good stay and we would definitely book again.

Nice experience, veteran hotel, good environment, beautiful swimming pool! The location of the hotel is also very good, across the road is Terrigal Beach, opposite is a free 24-hour parking lot, and there is a French fine dinning nearby. The overall experience is good, it is a good place for a weekend getaway.

Love staying here! always clean comfortable and friendly! GREAT pool ! the best way to start the day with a dip in the heated pool. ALL of the staff are so friendly and remind us they are here to look after us. Close to the main town but away from the hussle and bussle, this was our 4th visit and we will be back!

This unit is over-priced. We stayed in a double unit, the two of us, which is better suited to either 2 couples or 2 adults and 2 kids which would justify the price. Upstairs is almost a carbon copy of downstairs in that both have almost full kitchens (no ovens), excellent reverse cycle air conditioning, TV's etc. Other than a very old, very off carton of milk left in the fridge the unit was exceptionally clean. Upon arriving, we were asked to pay which we had already done when booking. Beware no refunds once booked although this didn't apply in our case. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and helpful. Had to ask for toilet paper and purchase milk as only two small milk thimbles in fridge. Expected to wash up, dry and put away dishes and utensils before leaving and remove all garbage. We usually do this anyway but I thought it was quite an ask to be expected at those prices. It's post-Covid so I am wondering if lack of staff is the reason for this and perhaps this may change in the future. No buffet or restaurant on site. No room service. Don't expect any meals. No foxtel as advertised. At least we couldn't get it but they did have Netflix provided. We took our chromecast with us, thank goodness! The pool is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. Maybe 25 metres? Also, in the afternoon a lot of it is shaded. It's not heated so it's pretty chilly even in late November. The beach is gorgeous but the room we had didn't have views and the units are in the street behind the main shops so whilst very close to the beach (a mere two minutes) it isn't overlooking the beach. Also, very tight carpark if you have a larger car. I would recommend the family unit or double unit for 3 to 4 people. Otherwise stick to a single unit. I probably would not return unless with another couple because there are nicer places with more amenities that don't expect you to do the housework at the same or even better prices.

We had a pleasant one-night stay. The building is old but clean. Location was convenient to us, 10min drive to Terrigal Beach. Will book there again when visiting around.

Came here for a few beers, trivia and some food. The atmosphere was good out the back, heaters to keep you warm and prizes to win with trivia. We got the chicken schnitzel with garlic prawn topper and the loaded fries. Portion sizes are generous and the food came out quick. Had a game of pool afterwards all round it was a pleasant evening, I will definitely be coming back.
