Best Curtin Hotels

I booked this hotel for my elderly grandparents. The service was beyond terrible. There is no staff on site and you need to rely on a pin number that they give you. Turns out our pin number didnt work and I had o find them another hotel. When contacted, the staff and particularly the manager of the hotel were rude and accused us of lying. They stated the room was entered at 1730 (impossible as my grandparents were with me enjoying dinner), they also stated that house keeping said the room was used. I was forced to book another room at another hotel. The incredibly rude manager I spoke to in person refused to hear my side of the story and said that my grand parents were the only ones to get the pin, which is clearly not true. After multiple promises to call me back, they never did. Absolutely pathetic. They have essentially taken advantage of elderly pensioners. Stay well clear.

This property is not to standard. The shower floods the entire bathroom with every shower, and after days of promising to fix it - I have given up asking. Apparently everyone has been on holiday for 4 days - and their promises are seemingly empty. The rooms are reasonably nice but missing some touches like mirror and ample space to hang towels - small things, but it makes a difference for a 5 day stay. I was asked or $40 for a sheet for the sofa bed on a reservation for 3 people. I requested to transfer to another property and was declined, even though I was ready to pay more. I won't be staying again. Very disappointing for a Christmas time stay.

This was a one night stay in Canberra as I had a medical appointment nearby the next day. Check in was relatively quick and easy, the staff explained the hotel facilities and then we headed up to the room. Once we got to the room, it was quite pleasant albeit a bit dimly lit. As it was a weekend, that meant their restaurant was closed, that posed no problems as in the foyer there's the Pantry, an area that has a limited selection of items ranging from frozen meals, to chips and chocolates. The microwave was a bit tricky to operate but once I got the hang of it, we had a quiet dinner and settled in for the night. As we'd been given vouchers for breakfast the next morning (allowing one drink and one food item - something we weren't told) we dropped in to their restaurant to have breakfast. I picked the apple cinnamon pancakes and later a bowl of Granola. Once the items were brought to the table, I noticed that the pancakes were almost submerged in maple syrup!!! I thought I was going to be brought a small jug of syrup to add as I wished, but to have them ”swimming” in syrup ... not a good look!. The bowl of Granola was rather tasty with yoghurt and fruit topping it. As we left, we presented our vouchers, to be told it covers one food and drink item, leaving a small charge at the end. So to backtrack and rate the hotel itself: The room was quite nice, beds were narrow and comfy, the bathroom spacious but the shower only has a glass panel that only covers half of the shower you'll need to keep it within that half or risk flooding the bathroom .. The hotel is rather nice, but will we stay here again? More than likely not, no fault of the hotel or staff ... just not our style...

Hotel location📍   We drove at 8 o'clock in the morning in Sydney. We stayed in the zoo in Canberra for about 5 hours. We drove in from the entrance. On the left is Jamala's signboard. It is good to park directly in the parking lot without taking a ticket.   Jamala is not in downtown Canberra, but Canberra is only a 10 minute drive to the city. If you want to live for a few more days in Canberra, I wouldn’t recommend it because of Canberra’s political attractions. The walls are a large aquarium that is connected to the aquarium and can be accessed at any time. On the other side of the glass door is a terrace with a sofa and a small swimming pool, as well as a monkey's cage.   Probably, at 1:30, they have a rich afternoon tea and fresh fruit (mini burger sandwich, macaron, cake, fruit), drinks with iced tea, carbonated drinks, various juices, sparkling water, and hot tea. Helping to make hot coffee, if you can’t eat at noon, you can eat it here~   Then at 2:30, the first zoo sightseeing tour began. The administrators took the tour to the zoo to explain the whole English. The explanations were mainly about some animal introductions, the interesting things of their animal families, and the protection of animals they have contributed to science. A person who is not so good may not be able to comprehend some of the funny stalks that the administrator said. It takes about 2 hours to finish. There is a grandmother who needs to be taken care of by a wheelchair. The hotel and the zoo's overall barrier-free facilities are very comprehensive. Very smooth and happy~   At 4 o'clock we can finally go back to the room to rest! We live in a giraffe room, two people live in a long lemur room, and the giraffe room has a room at 4 o'clock. The administrator has a giraffe to take pictures. The giraffe room can see giraffes and deer, lemur rooms, The lemur is just outside the glass window of the room, and it’s especially cute to see people coming over and selling! We can also see the lion on the window terrace of the No. 2 lemur house. The hotel is open at 6 o'clock~ These two hours are free activities, and the zoo can visit the aquarium. Dinner🍝   Dinner is a fine dinning mode, a lot of glutinous nuts will be very particular about changing a good-looking clothes, drinking wine and snacks at the open bar on the terrace at 6 o'clock, red wine, white wine, champagne beer, the wine here is a good wine, like to drink The pot friends can open their hearts~ But you have to remember that this meal has to be eaten at 10 o'clock in the evening... Don't get drunk in advance.   At 7 o'clock in the evening, I will have a big table with people I don't know. It is very important to master the foreign chat technology. Unfortunately, we have wood, and it is a bit tired this day, so we are suffering from bitterness, ingredients and taste. They are very delicious and fresh! Still tired ~   After the night, the zoo can't move around at will, so we can go back to the room in the main building of the hotel, but the tiger room and the giraffe room, the room is in the zoo, waiting for the car to be sent back, the basic hotel unless you are the same Stay in the main building, otherwise you will not be able to arbitrarily smash the door.    The next day   Although there is a very rich Western breakfast in the morning, there is a zoo tour at 8 o'clock, so if you don't want to miss it, you have to fill out the breakfast form the day before and choose the sandwich you want to eat (in the room bed, fill it in for dinner) staff member).   In the morning, except for a small part that I saw yesterday, I mainly saw tiger lion rhinoceros, giraffes, and feeding deer alpaca. Then check out~ If you want to experience a few more animals, you can live for a few more days~ However, this hotel I think if you want to live, you can choose your favorite animal room, and English must be good~ Otherwise you will feel tired and boring~ The person staying at the hotel is still a foreigner!

The Forest Hotel is best great value for money in Canberra. Whilst it was created in the 1960s, is a solid construction. It is family owned which makes it a very special place in Canberra. From the Owners down, to Reception or the Cleaning Staff they are committed to making your stay in the Forest great. They pride themselves on being the best! They have a great restaurant Monday to Friday. It’s at night, which does takeaway and room service – they have really nice specials. The pizzas are pretty good as well. I regularly go to Canberra and the Forest is my home from home. The Forest is the best, Forget the rest!

We had a great stay at the Rydges. We arrived earlier than normal check in time and they accommodated us with little wait time. Room was clean and tidy nice hot showers as were from WA it was -1 when we arrived. No complaints front desk staff were super friendly and helped with and questions we asked regarding places to go and see while here on our short stay. Would stay again, definitely recommend.

As the hotel is branded and priced as Park Hyatt instead of Hyatt Hotel, more is expected especially the concierge service. The design of room is a little bit strange and waste of space as it comes with a very long corridor but with only a desk there.

The location is pretty good with the own transport. Easy assess to the famous tourist attractions and Canberra Centre. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a simple style but provides most of the stuff. Disposal slippers are provided but the toothbrushes and tooth pastes are not at this hotel. The another thing I would like to share that is the bed and pillows are soft to us. A few more kinds of free tea and coffee are also provided in the lounge bar and library on L5 & L6. The room was clean everyday. Kid enjoyed the view in the room there. Overall, we were happy to stay at LNH with what we paid and expected.

Having stayed at the Hotel Realm on numerous occasions for business, my latest visit was predictably very good. My room booking was upgraded on arrival which was a nice touch, as was the complementary beverage ticket. The Hotel Realm has served Canberra well over the years but unfortunately it shows in some aspects. Torn and / or worn carpet in a few places detracts from the overall finish and some refurbishment is in order. Also, you need to be aware that it is a little distance from Canberra City proper or the Kingston / Manuka shops and restaurants. All that said, another very good stay. The staff are friendly and the ambience is what you would expect. Recommended.
