Best Gilles Plains Hotels

We stayed in a budget room, and it was great! Room was a little on the small side but very comfortable for us as a couple. Bathroom light was a little dark, but the shower was fantastic and always had hot water. Good location in the suburbs of Adelaide, easy to navigate and to get to other places. Perfect spot for a comfortable place to sleep after a long day.

The receptionist we were greeted by seemed disinterested and preoccupied with appearance more than substance and just waffled off directions on where to park our car and how to get to our room in a rather vague manner. My wife and I were not any wiser and were left wondering. After locating what we believed was the car park we were directed to it turned out to be the local council offices car park with clearly “ no parking except council vehicles” signs posted all over. Back to reception to check on the correct parking spot and we were greeted with a different person who proceeded to advise us that the 10 car parks against the back wall was for hotel guests, and if that was full we could use the public car park and if that is full we could then use the council car park . ?????. On to the room. After a hold of $150 on our card and after filling out what was tantamount to a passport application we were given our room card and with direction given that would confuse any GPS system we set off to find our room. The room was very large, black walls and 2 tiny windows that were smaller than anything in Yatala prison ( we think ). There was adequate supplies of bottle water in the room ( all clearly tagged with prices) ( no complimentary water at all). The bathroom floor was dirty, the toilet roll dispenser was broken and the sink plug was a piece of plastic. The kettle was near impossible to fill with tap water as you couldn’t get it under the bathroom tap. At the time of our stay there was a wedding reception in full swing and the noise was incredibly loud. The interlocking door between sections was right next to our room and it would slam shut after every entry and exit ( about 25 times an hour). An added touch was the top up cart for towels, soaps, tea and coffee etc which was right next to our door. So, be aware that this is a very very noisy place. Overall the place was below par to most we have ever stayed in.

I booked the Enfield hotel through a third party for a weekend away. I had a Studio Single room and found it to be perfectly adequate for my needs. Check in was handled well. The room was spacious with a comfortable single bed, ensuite, flat screen TV and tea / coffee making facilities I believe the rooms were recently refurbished.. A simple breakfast was included in the price. The ensuite hand basin is small but has a cupboard underneath when you want to store things. A small shelf adequately holds smaller items. I found I had no bath towel, but Reception dealt with this immediately. Onsite parking is a bonus. While the hotel is open late, I heard no noise from the bars. Really didn't hear any noise from other rooms either. Your electronic room key also opens the main door after hours. If you leave early there is a box to drop your key into. i was pretty happy with staying here and would return .

Very clean comfortable motel for the price. Comfy beds with great big thick pillows. Obliging staff. Outside seating and very clean pool although the weather was a bit cool to swim. Would stay there again.

I’m not sure why people mention luxury room? They are a typical bog standard motel type room. The hotel it self is average, room is average. What lets it down is the people who stay here, and the staff don’t seem to do anything about it. At midnight, the security guard was having a massive loud conversation with 2 guys outside the hotel, really close to some rooms, and mine, kept me awake. Other hotel guests would park inches away from your hotel door, when quite obviously if there is a parking bay opposite your hotel room, that is YOUR bay , common sense. The workers who do the laundry, would move and rattle the trolleys for a hour at like 9pm, when people would be trying to sleep, why not do this at 2-3pm when night shift are awake, and workers are in work, common sense? The main road is noisy also, no decent food nearby, unless you want to go the rubbish indian area

Perfect location for our drive Perth to Melbourne, easy access from and to the highway. Spacious, clean room with table, couch, TV, aircon and very comfortable bed. Ensuite a little outdated but the room had been freshened up. We had trouble connecting to the wifi. The restaurant was closed on our visit but we ordered room service and enjoyed our meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Be aware that while there is a 'late check-in' window, a sign on the door said that reception hours had changed to 8am - 8pm (when we booked the site said it was open all night... it might be wise to check ahead if you're likely to be later) Good, clean accommodation. We had a good stay.

The hotel is only 200 meters from the shopping center and is super convenient. The room is well equipped and very comfortable. The breakfast I had in my room was delicious. We live in a townhouse with an extra large double bed and another room with two single beds. Parking is convenient and no money. There is also a swimming pool in the yard. satisfaction!
