Best Alberni-Clayoquot D Hotels

Wow, wow, wow. This was a delight of a find. Stunning location, super friendly staff and decent sized rooms. Located about halfway between Nanaimo and Ucelet/Tofino, its a wonderful small hotel with just a handful of rooms -perfect sized for a family of 4 and quiet. The lake is stunningly gorgeous and we made full use of the hotel's (free) kayaks and paddleboards. There is a hidden waterfall about 30 mins walk where you have to use ropes to get down (our kids, 9 and 14, LOVED it). We also saw the beaver (named Justin by the staff 😀). Basic complimentary pastries and tea/coffee for breakfast. Dinner was plentiful, delicious and not the standard fare - try the fry bread - and reasonably priced for the amount. Boats regularly parked up so must be a good place for locals too. Staff extremely helpful and friendly, which was the cherry on top of a wonderful 3 night stay. Ps The grocery store and taco truck are the last food stops for about 80km so remember to stock up if heading to Tolfino.
