Alas, this trip to the western regions of Ontario was plagued by distant hotels that, in spite of the smallness of the towns in which they were located, nevertheless seemed much further into the outer regions than most travelers would venture. This place had nice staff and a great free breakfast buffet, but another problem was that the TV was either broken or I couldn't figure out how to get it working. The free internet was good enough for me to do a Zoom meeting. Attached is a picture of how far out there it was located!
The night manager was very nice.
The beds were comfortable and appeared to be clean.
Internet was quick and easy to log in to.
The parking was VERY limited.
The latches on our bathroom window were broken so someone could have easily broken in. I jimmied a clothes hanger into a gap between two windows (one of them had a latch), so a third window couldn't be slid over, thus, effectively locking the window.
The paint on the ceiling and wall of the bathroom was peeling.
The room was very hot - the buttons on the wall unit were broken. I noticed that there was a remote but it didn't do anything to the heat in the room.
A lot of garbage on the property - it had just snowed so maybe some of it had blown onto the property.
