Spiez is a delightful town on Lake Thun and we really enjoyed our stay at La Belle Vue, not least because of the [essential] option of the view itself. Fantastic. The station sits above the town, and although it's an easy walk (at least on the way down!), because of the height difference you might want to make it easier still and get the bus, especially if you have suitcases or mobility issues. The #61 to the harbour (schiffstation) runs every hour, at roughly 5 mins to the hour in both directions. This means you can fall out of the hotel guest entrance in the morning to get (say) the 08.57 up to the station, and on your arrival/return the xx.49 bus down to “Des Alpes”. (There are other options to/from “Krone/Kronenplatz”, both very close to the nearby roundabout, namely #1, 62 or 63 going down, or the #65 up at 9 mins past). Incidentally, being able to simply hop on or off any bus (or train, or boat) was the main reason we found the Swiss Pass so helpful - it may not have saved us any money but it was so convenient to have. What about the hotel itself? We had a 'Panorama Comfort Double Room with Balcony' (Room 31). The room is quite small and fitted out in a minimalist fashion, and our bathroom - although perfectly serviceable - looked rather incongruous by comparison (I gather they are to be refitted). It was nice having large opening windows for ventilation as well as a balcony. There are no tea-making facilities in the room but there is a drinks station in an alcove on the landing, which was a clever alternative. There's a lift but it's tiny, which is why our luggage was kindly taken to our room for us ahead of us whilst we were given a welcome drink. The broadband is extremely fast. Rather unusually the breakfast is assembled to order - the idea being to save wastage - but you can have as much as you want and eggs and one or two other cooked options are available at a small supplement. The young owners are very much ‘hands on’ and have assembled a great team, so I wish them every success, but although I've rated this as 5* based on our assessment at the time, I do feel rather let down by subsequent events... We stayed five nights - not least because the hotel currently offers a very generous 35% discount on stays of five nights or more. The booking confirmation confirmed that this discount had been applied, and the net figure was the amount that the hotel took from our card the day before we arrived. Given that ALL accommodation in Switzerland is expensive [to us Brits] I didn’t think any more about it - it was a very good deal - but now that I come to compare one establishment with another in the course of writing my reviews I find that the figures simply don’t add up… At the heart is a lack of transparency as to what the room rate actually was for early August. I know what we actually paid – an average of £216 (plus £8 tax) per night (the actual rate varing accordingly to the day of the week, with Thurs & Fri being
I've been looking forward to reviewing this hotel because we enjoyed our stay so much. The hotel is charming and probably the best place to stay in Spiez. Very convenient location, a few minutes (walk) away from the train station (they do offer a shuttle service as well, if needed) and 5 minutes (again walk) by the castle and lake. The rooms are absolutely spotless and super comfortable (amazing mattresses and pillows). We had a room with lake view and every morning and evening I loved going on the balcony to enjoy the fresh air, the mountain peaks and the sky (especially at night). We enjoyed the breakfast as well, not a lot of diversity, but very good quality. The spa is really amazing; I loved the heated outdoor swimming pool -- an absolute treat with views towards their beautiful garden and the lake. The staff has been very helpful and kind. Many thanks to Gerome (front desk) for all the useful recommendations during our stay. I can only say that we miss the hotel (and beautiful Spiez) already and look forward to returning soon!
Friendly reception despite early check-in. The rooms are small, but all equipped for a short stay. Breakfast takes place in a conference room and offers something to start in the day. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the room was extremely ring-hearted, so we could best hear the Asian travel group from their rise to the departure with the car on Sunday morning at 07:30. - Franks per night the accommodation does not meet the price-performance ratio. The beds are rather narrowly measured. The room was at tropical temperatures above 30 degrees, which were to be tolerated only with open windows. This means additional noise emissions from outside conversations and roller bags.

The Belvedere Strandhotel in Spiez was a great hotel for me and my husband during our time in the Interlaken region. Upon arrival, the hotel kindly sent a shuttle to pick us up at the train station, a true perk when you travel with luggage (the hotel is a 10 min walk from the train station). We loved the pool/spa areas, which were great for relaxing after a long day of hiking/tourism. The spa overlooks the lake and we even sat in the sauna while it rained to take in more of the view. The staff was friendly but there was a bit of a language barrier. We would have given the hotel 5 stars but the room was terribly hot and opening the windows would attract bugs (plus it didn't really help cool down the room). Otherwise, the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious.
We returned to this hotel after a few other stays and were happy to find that the staff is still as friendly and helpful as ever. We lover the wellness installations which are really of top quality and for all tastes. The situation - between Spiez and Thun is very convenient and easily accessible by public or private transport. We use the Juniorsuite which has a lot of extras added and is extremely comfortable. We used the hotel restaurant - very good - and the Thai restaurant which is one of the best of its kind. A special bonus - at least for my wife and me - is the Hotel cat Bubu... And I'd also like to mention the friendlyness of the vice-director, Mr. Rath, who was helpful to us beyond the call of duty.
The hotel is in a great location on the lake. We had a deck off our room overlooking boats and the lake. Our room was modern, very clean and spacious. Beds we’re comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and typical for Europe with meats, cheese , fresh bread, croissants, fruit, yogurt, etc. Would stay here again
This hotel is/was terrible, if I could give it zero stars I would. The view of the lake is absolutely beautiful, which is obviously what this hotel relies upon, not anything else that makes a hotel special (staff, food, etc…). The front desk staff are terrible and not welcoming at all. The restaurant food was mediocre at best. It was extremely expensive for subpar food and awful service. In fact, tap water costs 8 CHF, which is a first for me in Switzerland/ anywhere in the world. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were intentionally trying to scam us. The rooms are terrible, there are no toiletries, so if you so stay here bring your own. The furniture is filthy and the toilet is open at the top which is odd. I would recommend staying far away from this hotel! I reached out to the company I booked through to request a change of hotel the first night it was so bad.
We were looking for calm...we found it here.! Very welcoming hostess speaking a little French. The simple but comfortable and very clean quadruple room as well as the sanitary facilities. A very beautiful view of the lake as a bonus. Breakfast worthy of the name, even better than in some hotels. In short, very pleasant stay in a quiet area without TV.. it feels good. We will surely come back...
The hotel is very relaxing, very close to Tuen, the hotel is right by the lake, snowy mountains. The scenery is beautiful, the breakfast is OK, the hotel staff is very warm, because the New Year is almost the new year, and the chocolate is also sent. recommend!

Town of Spiez
横横竖是二温小迪Spiez is so beautiful. I changed trains here several times and was amazed every time.
The Spiez train station is located at a higher altitude, where you can take pictures of the church and castle in the distance. The seats in front of the train station are also very photogenic. A few steps down, you can see a large logo with the English letters Spez. From the train station to the pier, there are beautiful views at every step. From the pier, you can take a boat to the town of Thun.
Spiez Castle
NNachtischSet on the shore of Lake Tuen, Spitz Castle is a well-preserved medieval castle with a private garden that offers a view of Lake Tuen. Because its door and window layout is very similar to the Chinese word "", so when this setting is set, it can no longer be pulled out. How to see it is a hat 😳, it is really flattering!
Heimat- und Rebbaumuseum Spiez
1138***53Small private museum, free. The host was too enthusiastic and took us to explain seriously, and gave the children a bottle of honey before leaving. The museum is nothing special, mainly the local celebrity introduction of Spitz Town, and the honors of various clubs are on display.
