PROS - Modern clean rooms with comfortable beds and reading lights. - Fast and easy route to the centre via the bus (free to guests!) - Black out blinds - Two bed apartment was very spacious - Laundry facilities (washer and dryer, 2 francs each) were really helpful, and clearly signposted - Parking including reasonably fast electric car charging - Concierge was available, helpful and very friendly. CONS - The air con was very slow even when turned up to the highest setting, and rooms were hot. Windows don’t open. - The breakfast was abysmal value. No fruit selection (just the usual bulk-bought fruit salad; it doesn’t cost much to put some apples and seasonal fruit in a bowl to choose from!). The scrambled eggs were rated inedible by the whole family. No baguette or whole loaves to slice, just large individual rolls and some white sliced processed bread.

Enthusiasm, the room is also good, suitable for self-driving, a little distance from the city center, good value for money, convenient around, supermarket hotels, will choose here next time

Traditional Swiss hotel inside and out. Host were great and helpful and the service very professional. However the rooms and en-suites could do with up grading as they are getting a little tied. My bed creaked ever time I moved in it which did not help my sleep. Large wide screen TV was great but the channels available were limited if you didn’t speak English, and those channels that were available had poor reception. Eating outside in the garden was nice especially with the great weather we had. The menu selection was vast with various different international cuisines available at reasonable prices. Breakfast was simple but ample for me. In summary good hotel but some upgrading needed to bring it up to Swiss standards.

The room is warmly furnished and well equipped, there is a warm light on the door, and then there are convenient hangers and tables that allow you to easily hand things in your hands, just like returning home! Every furniture is placed very carefully, there are small snacks, candy and mineral water, the small restaurant can cook by itself, tools and seasonings are complete. The details of the careful layout are displayed everywhere, I like it very much, I will stay here next time I come to Switzerland. The self-check-in information is detailed and there is no trouble.

This villa was our “trailhead” for our Bern immersion. Our group of 5 was completely besotted by the convenience of this location: quiet and elegant location ridiculously convenient to Bern’s hallmark mass transit. Unexpected bonuses: fresh seasonal fruit (apples during our stay), daily sparkling water with gas, a delightful and wide ranging selection of teas, charming terrace, and old world breakfast room. Exceptional attention to detail and customer satisfaction apparent throughout. Highly recommend!

The hotels in the center of Bern where I usually stay were all booked for at least one night of my stay at the end of August/early September. I knew that Ibis was new, so I thought I'd try it. It's quite convenient to the tram (no. 9), which the hotel can give you a free ticket for. The front desk staff were all quite helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet seemed expensive (Sfr 16), especially since items weren't kept filled. Then I found that the Ibis-Budget breakfast had the items I liked, was Sfr. 3 less expensive, and items were kept filled. I'm not sure if the cross-over is always possible, but it worked for my last day. And I found that for what was offered, the price was OK (coffee and a croissant at my favorite Glatz bakery were about Sfr 9; the hotel had muesli, rolls and croissants, and various types of coffee, plus juice and other options).

We, my family explored entire Switzerland staying at this hotel. It was one of most pleasant long stay we had ever. The hotel staff were very friendly. Breakfast was fabulous. The Bern main train station is just 11 minutes away while using tram and the rides were through the beautiful streets of Bern, which are unforgettable. Truly appreciate the location, very calm and quiet. Do recommend to colleagues and friends.

Super hôtel, accueil très sympa et chaleureux. Nous étions dans une chambre Budget, très propre et silencieuse malgré la promiscuité entre les chambres. Situé au nord de la ville l’hôtel se trouve juste à côté d’un arrêt de tram qui vous permet d’accéder en 10min au centre ville, sinon le centre ville est à moins de 30min à pied. Aussi vous pouvez obtenir des billets de transport gratuit pour la durée de votre séjour. Nous n’avons pas eu la chance de tester le petit déjeuner trop cher pour des des petits français comme nous. Je recommande également, par beau temps, d’aller aux piscine gratuites et extérieure situées en dessous du parlement et à côté de l’Aar avec une possibilité à cet endroit de se jeter dedans et se laisser emporter par le courant sous la surveillance d’un maître nageur plutôt attirant. J’ai fein la noyade mais malheureusement il n’est pas venu à mon secours. Pour les amateurs de speed dating je vous recommande le plongeoir ou même le petit restaurant où plein de gens très beau viendront acheter des trucs que vous, en tant que français, n’auront pas la chance d’acheter. Bref l’hôtel est super bien ! Et si vous avez pas beaucoup d’argent des restaurants situés le long du chemin du retour à l’hôtel en partant du centre ville sont très abordable.
