I saw the Mercure Hotel on Ctrip and booked 2 of them. The front desk lady was dignified, enthusiastic and thoughtful. The hotel room was large, with good texture and complete functions. When I went to Kashgar, the hotel did not have a humidifier. Hotan had a humidifier. It would be much more comfortable to live in. The details were great. I booked an executive suite with only one large bed. It clearly stated that an extra bed could be added for free. I asked for an extra bed and wanted to get out of bed so that the child could sleep in the living room. The beauty at the front desk said that extra beds could not be added, even though she said I could change to a triple room, but I was unhappy because of the lack of layout. My son slept on the sofa in the middle of the night. I was afraid that he wouldn't sleep well, so I took him back to the big bed and squeezed him together. Where is the integrity of the hotel? I ordered 259 yuan in the morning. When I checked in at the front desk in the evening, they asked me to check the price. I saw that the price had dropped to 236 yuan. Although I know that the market price fluctuates from time to time, but it has changed too fast, right? It makes the little minds of consumers twist and turn.

The hotel accepts foreigners. Free pickup, dropoff (airport/train station…). Reception does not speak english so translation app will help. They are very helpful, even helped me with sending a parcel. Room is old but clean and spacious. There is even a working desk with a computer. Typical business hotel for the Chinese I guess. Walking distance to Hotan Night Market (out of the hotel just turn right to Renmin road and straight to the crossroad, crossing the road then it is a tunnel-shaped building which is the night market). No hair dryer though and I could not find wifi of my room so I had to use that of the other room. In the hotel room there is a guidebook to Hotan and you can use it to ask the reception to help you catch a taxi to the destination you want. Jade market is the most famous spot here and many Han Chinese come to Hotan for that. Everything in Hotan must be taxed heavily or so (for the massive construction that is going on?!), everything is more expensive than Kashgar and other cities in Xinjiang. So at least this hotel price is quite ok for this range in Hotan.

Special room to live. The hotel is a safe background of the government. The room is not equipped early to roast whole lamb locally, which is said to be the best in Xinjiang. The night market is generally expensive. There is a local food street on the right side of the hotel, which is delicious and affordable.
