Been here for a couple of weeks for work. At first the hotel seemed fine and the breakfast was nice. However, the rooms were so warm a night you needed to open the windows, you couldn't because constantly were people standing outside talking loud and smoking. So you couldn't open the window for fresh air. Not a hotel for rest but rather for work which was reflected by all the handyman checked in. Would not recommend.

The room is not too big, no extra bed, the hotel breakfast is good, although there are not many things, but every small and exquisite, can eat enough! The bed is very comfortable, this is a surprise!

No breakfast, I feel that this price is still relatively expensive. I think it’s a mid-range. I don’t see a place to park. But the bed is still very comfortable.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It was only 2 kilometers away from the A45 highway. Giessen is a small city. Although the hotel is on the edge of the city, you can walk around the city for a walk of 1-2 kilometers. There is a REWE supermarket 500m nearby. Opposite the supermarket is a very large self-service Chinese restaurant, which looks like a movie theater and is very convenient. The hotel can provide about 10 free parking spaces. It is a four-star hotel, but don't compare with domestic ones. The facilities are relatively old. Don't expect too much breakfast. German meals are almost the same.

We were in the hotel at the Ludwigsplatz for a night with 8 adults and 2 babies, since we were invited to a wedding. Before it was a little complicated to book the only two available children's beds fix for us. The statement of a male employee: “as available” was fortunately changed to “fast promise” by another lady. The service at CheckIn and Out was very friendly. I didn't see any staff at breakfast. The rooms were old-fashioned, here and there the colour was leafed and the windows had “double glassing of the old-fashioned type” - two windows in a row. However, it was clean and also spacious enough with child. The baby bed had a very soft matrace, which was okay for a night. Our beds were comfortable. We came late night from the party and didn't hear anything, but in the morning the voice of our grandmother next door sounded relatively clear to us. But if I do not see a big problem in an older hotel, there is Oropax for that. The breakfast was enough. There were: filter coffee, tea, juices, musli, yoghurt, bread, a selection of cheese and sauce, salmon, various egg foods some vegetables and fruit. In principle, a pleasant stay but for 99 euros per night I expect some more about the modernization of the rooms.

Wir haben uns im Hotel Residenz Gießen sehr wohlgefühlt. Erwähnenswert ist ein gutes Frühstück und kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten in der Tiefgarage. Wer es nachts ganz ruhig haben möchte, sollte das bei der Buchung angeben. Uns hat der geringe nächtliche Autoverkehr nicht gestört.

Me and my colleagues checked in late in the evening around 9:30 p.m. and were checked in very friendly and quickly by Ms. Ahmad. She checked in 4 people at the same time, ordered a taxi or looked after other guests, which shows how competent and hard-working the employee is. A big thank you to you.
