Nice, modern (system) hotel. Built in a loft-like style in keeping with the times. Sometimes loud. Staff were between very friendly and surprisingly disinterested. When we pointed out to reception that surely nobody really needed to dispose of the hotel's glass waste at 11:30 p.m. with a loud clatter, the receptionist replied ”we always do that” - but the colleague we told the story to in the morning was believably stunned. If we write off the problem, which we experienced 4 times in two nights, as a learning curve, we would still be happy to come back.

Super freundliche Gastgeberin, auch die beiden Köche sehr nett und aufmerksam, Sonderwünsche werden gerne erfüllt. Sehr leckeres asiatisches und deutsches Essen, hervorzuheben die Schnitzel gigantisch groß und super lecker, muss man unbedingt ausprobieren :) Tolles Team macht weiter so!!! Beim Frühstücksbuffet wäre Rührei oder Spiegeleier schön, aber sonst wirklich alles top-gerne wieder

I had to spend a night in Hunsrück with a colleague. The house of Waldesruh surprised us very much. Not only that we were welcomed super friendly, the freshly renovated room and the generally renovated house made an extremely friendly impression. The mattresses were top! Not read and beautiful hard. Perfect for a relaxing night. The breakfast then top everything! We didn't expect a large breakfast due to the current situation. But the housewife showed that she was trying to make us the short stay well. The house is not particularly quiet because of the slightly more calm location in Hollnich and the old building at first sight. But the housemaster and the freshly renovated interior of the house then surprise extremely positive. Here I will certainly come back privately when it is to leave the times again. A compliment for this service in difficult times for gastronomists.

The campsite is adjacent to the hotel. On arrival you park outside the camping barrier and report to hotel reception where you book in and are allocated a pitch. The pitches are all hard standing with no segregation, however when we were there in September it was not very busy, we did have people on the pitch beside for the last two days which was weird as there was plenty of space for this not to have happened. Check to ensure no local pop festivals/events as we had a very disturbed first night with music and crowd noise until 2:00 in the morning, we did contact hotel reception, but they said they knew nothing of it but would check, luckily was just the one night. Toilet and washing facilities were excellent being modern and spotlessly clean with free hot showers included. Wifi was also included for free around the campsite. All pitches have individual electric, water and drains points. Mobile reception was good. The Aphrodite restaurant was fantastic Greek food, we visited 3 times during our stay choosing different meals each time and all 6 meals were superb and good value. Server spoke great English and was very friendly. Aldi supermarket within a 10 minute walk, Kastellaun within a 20 minute walk has some nice cafes and a good place to stroll through the old town. A great place to stay to explore areas of the Rhine & Moselle valley's.

CClimber43575200046I booked the ”hostel” option at Das Ebertor since I wanted to stay along the Rhine and Boppard offers transit passes to visitors. The hostel is just a room with bunks, not a true hostel with amenities. There is no kitchen or social area (though the hotel has restaurants). The room was nice and had a bathroom attached. There was a view of the courtyard. Everything was clean. First night, there were 3 other travelers, 2 the second night and I had the room to myself on the last night. I skipped the paid breakfast and didn't try the various restaurants. It was too early in the year for the outdoor beer garden. The front desk staff seemed new and not entirely familiar with hotel amenities and the area but they did help me book a bicycle (you can store it overnight in the garage). It was great to be so near the train station. There is a supermarket on the other side of the station. You're right on the river and it's about a 10 minute walk to old town.

I would like to divide my review into two areas. Firstly, the hotel and then the attached restaurant. When you arrive at the hotel, the first thing you notice is the ”ruin” to the right of the hotel, which definitely spoils the first impression. Once you have left that behind you, you enter a 3* country hotel. The reception was, as you would expect as a guest, friendly and courteous. We had booked a room facing the Rhine, which was a good size, as was the bathroom. The furnishings are not the newest, but still made a neat and clean impression. What the hotel can't do about, but still has to be mentioned, are the railway lines that run right past the hotel on both sides of the Rhine. The B9 also runs right past the hotel. So you should book a room facing the Rhine. The breakfast in the hotel was of a 3* standard, not exclusive, but it gave you a basis for the day. You can also book half board, and we would recommend that because the food is really very good. Small menu, but then the dishes are of high quality. Of course, you can also eat there if you are not a hotel guest. Regional and seasonal cuisine of the highest quality is offered. You can combine it with a wine tasting, which is actually a must for wine lovers. What I would like to recommend to the owner is to remove the exposed wiring in the winter garden and the dirty corner on the open terrace. It spoils the actually positive overall impression and can be quickly fixed. The hotel is a good choice for a short break.

RRoam07962254281The hotel is 1km from Frankfurt Hahn airport. Yes B&B hotel is directly opposite the airport but this has a much better feel to it from my experience. I got a lift there close to midnight as our plane got in very late but there is a shuttle bus that will also take you if you call them. I was pleasantly surprised. I payed €70 for breakfast and a room and the hotel looks really good and was comfortable. The room was clean, quiet with a good shower. I expected to stay in a lot worse! In fact, I would have preferred to stay here than the 4 star hotel I stayed in Wittlich for the other 2 nights. The staff were friendly and attentive. I had a beer but no food as it was quite late but people said that the food was good and not dear so I trust them. All I can say is that breakfast the next morning was excellent and you could have as much coffee as you wanted. There is a sauna etc but I did not have time to use it. I used the Hotel Shuttle Bus the next morning but if you are not feeling as lazy as I was, you could easily walk to the airport. I would definitely stay here again, whether staying for a night or a few days if flying into Frankfurt Hahn.

This hotel is terrible. I booked this hotel for 1 nighy because it was cheap and near the airport and I was landing late. I arrived after midnight to be greeted by a note on the door telling me to go somewhere else for the key, so I had to walk 5 minutes to another place, when I eventually got in my room the smell was bad and it was dusty, the cleanliness was awful especially in the bathroom. Near the bed there were stains on the wall that looked like blood. I had no choice but to try and sleep there but had a restless night and by 7am I had left, they told me to leave my room card in the room and just go when I left so I did. I emailed a complaint and got no reply, A few days later I emailed again and I was asked what the problem was and told that someone woukd reply on Monday, by Wednesday still nothing so I emailed and received no reply. Today I received a reply with no apology, it said that it says in the small print that you have to get the room key elsewhere, they also said I should have complained at the time. So they expected me to go back out in an unsafe area at 1am and walk 5 minutes to complain when there was only a receptionist working, they also offered me a 20% discount and haven't apologised at any point foe the cleanliness. Honestly do not stay at this hotel, I wouldn't even leave my bags in this hotel ever again let alone the thought of me staying in it, the customer service is terrible and slow and is so badly managed, they just don't care.

Room facilities are simple, but basics are all available (no accident without kettle), no air conditioning but fan (the Rhine Valley is basically cool in summer)
The service attitude of the staff is good, the front desk will be very patient to explain the local tourist card policy (the previous few cities were directly deducted), the TV in the room did not work at first, but once I told the front desk there was a smiling brother to solve it Up

9996maramThe Hann airport is bad and sad and it is not good to stay outdoor and cold at night. If you need to sleep one night before you start very soon this is a good solution. It's not so bad that we had booked, given the exceptional situation we found in late February(snow that blocked the motorway, dropped flights etc...) . The check-in was made with the booking, given the late time we arrived. The room at the fifth floor was cold and it took a eternity to warm it .... For the rest functional. The only way to eat something is the McDonald's stick at the airport and perhaps a German bakery inside it.
