Best Salem Hotels

Siamo appena stati io e mia moglie per una fiera. Abbiamo dormito nella camera n. 63 primo piano. Abbiamo espressamente chiesto una camera in zona tranquilla e ci e' stata data. L'hotel e' posizionato a circa 5 km da lago ma secondo me e' ottimo per base di partenza. Molto ben tenuto e' un 3 stelle ma e' molto carino, ben curato e tenuto. E' composta da una parte che da' sulla strada dove c'e' una birreria e si fa colazione. Staccata lateralmente c'e' la parte camere, quindi ben distinta dalla birreria quindi non si sentono rumori...ma comunque tutta la zona e' fin troppo tranquilla. C'e' moquette ben tenuta dappertutto e ben pulita, tutto a risparmio energetico, illuminazione a LED nei corridoi ecc. La camera ben pulita e spaziosa. Letto un po' troppo molle e il problema sono i soliti cuscini....consiglio di portarsi quelli gonfiabili da campeggio da casa....Loro hanno il concetto di cuscino molto diverso dal nostro. Colazione variegata anche se non eccezionale. Ristorante aperto dalle 16 quindi mangiate quell che volete cucinato molto bene e a prezzi ottimi. Quindi in definitiva, hotel ben curato, prezzo nella media , posizione tranquilla e fuori dalle rotte...ma buon punt di partenza. Credo proprio ci ritorneremo.

Right in the center of the old city, travel is very convenient. You can park for half an hour at the door to load and unload luggage. There is also a buffet dinner to eat, and I will continue to stay in this hotel next time I go.

This is a very nice hotel at the far end of the main street in the lower part of Meersburg. It sits at the base of a very steep hill which one walks up to get to the upper part of the town and the castle and such so very convenient for that. Had a side-facing room (lovely view of the castle) but which unfortunately had people walking right by at almost eye level. Hotel was fully booked so we couldn't change rooms but I would request a room on a higher floor when you reserve. Room itself was very basic yet had all the necessities. Very clean. Breakfast was very good and extensive with good options of sweet and savory. The piece de resistance of this hotel is their terrace which is huge and truly beautiful...trees and vines overhead, lovely lighting and sits right on the lake. Exceptionally clean and tidy! Perfect place for a beer after getting off of our bikes and for dinner (which was very good). Good wine selection and our waiter even let me try a few before choosing one. Bikers take note - I had told the hotel we were coming with bikes and asked about storage. They had not replied. Turns out storage is down the street (other end of the main street) at a bike garage for which we were charged ten euros per day/per bike. Not thrilled about that. Otherwise, your choice is to leave your bikes outside overnight...there are racks right in front of the hotel.
