The hotel is probably under new management and you realize that extreme! We had booked and then only read the groove bad reviews, so that we came with mixed feelings. But it lights and shines everywhere!! At least our room and everything we have seen from the hotel was more than clean. Rooms and sanitary area were really perfect. Breakfast good and extensive, service anticipated and friendly. What more wants! You can forget the “old” reviews consoled, we will surely come back!

This hotel must have been around for 20-30 years . It is a bit outdatet and old but has a good amount of german charm. This hotel has no elevator. There are lots of free parking around the hotel buidling. The hotel is located a few 100 meters from the holstentor. Pretty good location but the road next to the hotel was a bit noisy. The breakfast was very nice with good bread and a good selection of meat and cheese. Scrambled Eggs tasted good. I think we will stay here again. It was a cosy hotel with comfy beds. The receptionist had good English skils. The had som covid restrictions wich was easy to follow.

We were there with our family on a birthday. The staff is very friendly and premature. The rooms are clean and you have everything you need so. Breakfast is very great. It was very much love in detail. Self-made bread, dips and fresh whisky. For everyone something with it.

Wir waren in dem Hotel/Motel für 3 Nächte. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem Industriegebiet. In der Nähe befindet sich Mc Donalds sowie andere Fast Food Restaurants und ein Lidl. Der Bahnhof ist mit den Buslinien 3, 10 und 1 in ca. 9 Min zu erreichen. Man sollte bedenken das die Lautstärke von der Straße relativ hoch ist. Das Zimmer war mäßig Sauber. Es wird nur alle 3 Tage im Zimmer gereinigt was ich vorher nicht wusste. Der Müll wird nicht weggebracht und es wird auch kein Toilettenpapier nachgelegt. Man kann sich vorstellen das am dritten Tag das Zimmer schon sehr unschön aussieht. Es gibt in dem Hotel nichts ( Kein Fitnessraum, keine Rezeption, keine Bar und keine Lounge) Frühstück ist im Vier Jahreszeiten nebenan möglich für 20€ pro Person oder 10€ pro Kind möglich.

As an international traveler I care most about functioning wifi, A/C, and parking - basically in that order. The hotel is easy to reach from Hamburg via Autobahn and close to major routes. 25 min walk into the city, several shops and restaurants close by. Breakfast and bar is great, amazing view from 8. floor. Rubbery smell in the hallway. Parking is a nigh**are in the adjacent parking lot - very tight no space situation all around. Room clean with spartan ambiance that is called ‘nordic’ . No carpet and very clean. Not much room in the bathroom/counter. Wifi does not work - also it is an all open network hotspot causing additional problems with Mac/ I phone. A/C in room shuts off after short period of time with humid weather. Very minimal bedding - 1 small pillow with no additional pillows in room. Staff at the desk was helpful with late check-in. Otherwise unconcerned about the idea that most travelers need functioning wifi and expect A/C to work. Staff in the bar/ restaurant is amazing and super friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

I have been visiting this hotel for over 10 years (expect during Covid). As an amputee (5 yrs ago) and in a wheelchair, the rooms are excellent and have safe and secure wc & shower seat. Staff are just the best in the business. Breakfast has been good for all the years I have visited and the restaurant manager is the same wonderful lady for 10 years. Nothing is too much trouble and good underground parking plus a large lift. 99% perfect just a new mattress which make my room 114 100%. Well done IBIS Germany. Perhaps a few Euros more than it should be even with an Accor card.

Just as you feel when you see this small fine lock. The trip alone is unusual: this little wood is actually on the edge of a business area - which you quickly forget when you relax without a parking search (there is free and sufficient in the castle courtyard) comes to another world. You can't see yourself all the small details that you meet on your way to and in the hotel itself: here a sleeping castle ghost under a small blocked staircase, there books, as decorative stack snored on the stairs, here are a few funny talks that bring you to spark immediately - and above all: Many of the little things you can't see at all at once but gradually discovered... We had the Suite ”Heaven on Earth” (from 2.8. to 5.8. 21) under the roof and like that you feel there too: place without end, super cozy and tastefully furnished, you look almost directly into the sky (although he is of course only painted - and quite skillful - in the roof area. The bed was very comfortable, the Pantry had everything you could wish, many small things in the huge room that you can't find at all in other hotels. The bathroom is a dream, AND: There is a small balcony, windprotected with a view of everything. The ”castel master” understands being everywhere at the same time and answering all questions to one... and not forget: the breakfast buffet: All that the heart wants - and you realize that here too is going to work with heart blood. We will come back in any case. For: I want to be princess there now!!!

I like the format of B&B hotels - basic hotels built on cheap land, usually next to a railway track (as in Lubeck) and with a room code instead of a card. This B&B was only a 4 minute walk from the station, my room (as is usually the case at these hotels) was basic but spotlessly clean. Breakfast (€10.50 extra) was good. The only slight ****** would be that to enter the hotel you have to walk through a car park which is not very well lit at night. Overall, a very good, basic, clean and modern hotel.

Although located next to the station the hotel proved to be a quiet location. The rooms are quite small, lack some amenities (coffee making) but the bed and bedding is comfortable and sleep quality is good. The breakfast was superb with plenty of options. It offered excellent value and was only around 15 minute walk to the old town and its attractions.

Chose the place because it is close to the train station. Good choice indeed, nice rooms with good beds, very nice lobby with cosy corners to sit, read, have a drink and/or a snack. Staff was very friendly, good choice of food and drinks for breakfeast.
