· * although I was travelling solo, i received a huge room, with: - many windows offering view over garden & village & one ski slope - double bed, very comfy - office table with power plugs on the desk ( easy to charge computer ), inclusive USB-power ( easy to load ur phone ) , - very good lighting system integrated in the desk wall, - smart tv, connectable with your tablet/phone - a very nice bathroom with huge italian shower & window ( you can shower with a view on the landscape ) And the hotel provides a very decent parking lot, a good ski-room with heated-sticks for your shoes, directly connected ( but with lock on the door, security first ) to the garden/exit on one side, and to the rooms on the other side : best comfort. an all-by- foot connection to the village / resort, and within minutes from bus station, café-kuchen shops,... breakfast is traditional for Germany ( sausage, ham, eggs , bread, marmelade, fruits, cereals, teas, coffee...) and with a very good quality dinner is also very good ( i tested it twice, with various pasta dishes ). Same thing for Wine ( i chose their house wine ). Nevertheless, I believe the quantity is a bit too much for the evening, and i lost all my diets efforts within two meals... Disliked · I can t say i did not like, but still, I would like to input some suggestions: ( all services were great in the hotel ) : - dinner : introducing some sizes in portions could help to enjoy the excellent restaurant food, without spoiling it by leaving anything in their plates...furthermore, adding some dishes in the menu, like salads with extras ( like caesar salad with grilled chicken stripes, and other uncooked vegetables combination ... ) could help those who prefer to eat light in the evening... - introducing a sauna (for adults only, i have had too many bad experiences with saunas where kids run around...don t spoil it ) somewhere in the garden ( huge plot )

Das kleine, seit Generationen familiengeführte Hotel, ist in einem tief eingeschnittenen romantischen Wiesental gelegen unweit des kurvenreichen Anstiegs der Passstraße zum Feldberg. Ganz in der Nähe des Hauses befinden sich die Sesselbahn und Skilifte zum Herzogenhorn - bei Skifahrern und Wanderern wohl bekannt. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir überaus freundlich empfangen. Das Restaurant, eine Gaststube im Schwarzwälder Stil mit adrett eingedeckten Tischen und Blumenschmuck, wirkte auf uns ab dem ersten Augenblick urgemütlich und heimelig. Das aktuelle Angebot auf der Speisekarte ist überschaubar und bietet Regionales für jeden Geschmack – zu moderaten Preisen. Alle von uns gewählten Gerichte waren reichhaltig und sehr schmackhaft, auch die Frischequalität hat absolut überzeugt – einschließlich der aufgetischten Forelle, die bis wenige Minuten zuvor noch im klaren Fließwasser, das im Wesentlichen vom nahen Fahler Wasserfall kommt, gehältert war. Unser recht großes Zimmer mit Balkon war, wie das gesamte Haus, top sauber, das Duschbad neu und wertig modernisiert, die Betten gut, und großzügiger Schrankraum selbst für einen längeren Aufenthalt war ausreichend vorhanden. Lediglich den Fernseher fanden wir unerwartet klein. Die „Seele des Hauses“ ist weiblich, herzerfrischend und zugleich die Chefin; sie wird tatkräftig unterstützt von einer nicht weniger „seelenverwandten“ und humorvollen Sous-Chefin im Service. Beide Damen - ein erfahrenes und gut eingespieltes Team mit viel Herz und ausgewogenem Feingefühl für Gast und Gastlichkeit. Wir haben uns auf Anhieb wohlgefühlt und werden gerne wiederkommen.

I had a fantastic stay at the Goldener Adler in Oberried, Germany. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself was both comfortable and well-maintained, with modern, clean facilities that made our stay very enjoyable. Located in a picturesque small town, the scenery was stunning, and the quiet surroundings added to the relaxing atmosphere. With a bus station conveniently located right in front of the building, it was easy to reach the train station and explore the area. The restaurant was an absolute highlight of our stay. The food was exceptional—some of the best we had throughout our entire vacation. The chef and his team demonstrated their talent in every dish, delivering an unforgettable dining experience. I would highly recommend the Goldener Adler to anyone traveling to the area; it’s a perfect place to enjoy comfort, great service, and delicious food.

The boss is a couple. Especially enthusiastic. Germany, France, English and three languages. If you don't know anything, the boss will be very patient. Very few Chinese people go here to play. The surrounding environment is very good. Very close to nature. Because of personal smoking, the boss is free. I transferred to the balcony room. The only thing is not full. It means that the food price of the hotel is too expensive and not in line with the Chinese appetite. But I have had a small holiday. It's still very good to take a nap in the hotel for two days.
