We just got back from a multi-day family stay at this hotel. We had been on holidays in this area previously but this was our first time at S'Agaro Hotel. The hotel's location is amazing as it's just a few metres away from a lovely beach. The hotel and facilities are nice, clean and very well presented. The staff were all very polite and kind. The breakfast was good quality although a bit repetitive. The price for our say was substantially higher than other similar 4 star hotels in the same area. One good thing was that their rate was cancellable which is why we booked it in the end. If some of the other 4 star hotels in the area had offered cancellable rates, we would have probably gone for a slightly cheaper option than this hotel. The rooms a bit smaller than we hoped for but were adequate and clean. One of the big negatives is about the swimming pool. Although there's a large board stating what is and isn't allowed, this is not monitored by hotel staff and most of the rules are disregarded by guests. For example, eating and drinking in the sunlounges or keeping their dogs with them. More worryingly, plenty of people vaped and smoked in the sunlounges and not just tobacco, judging by the smell, stronger stuff too, which for a family hotel I found very poor. Although access to the hotel's area by car is heavily policed by security guards, accessing the hotel's pool on foot is not controlled at all so we regularly so random people walking in, swimming in the pool and then just leaving the premises without anyone challenging them. This was the case with both a group of local young back-packers and also a group of noisy French guys. None of them disturbed us directly, but I thought it was a bit off putting. In the age of social media, I assume people tell each other that this pool is widely open to anyone and people just use it without being guests at the hotel. We were travelling with children and all this made use feel a bit uneasy in the pool area. The gym is basic and limited in terms of equipment, specially weights. Another negative is with regards to food and drink in the room. We all know that anything from inside the mini-bar is chargeable. However, this is the first hotel I see where they place items like coffee capsules in a table in your room and then charges you for consuming them, at the end of your stay. Finally, I understand the hotel is dog friendly and guests are allowed them in their rooms, however, I wasn't happy to regularly see people taking their dogs to the swimming pool area (not in the water though) and also have them in the outdoor restaurant during breakfast time. In summary, nice hotel in great location, a bit overpriced and needs stronger pool access control policies.

The hotel is gorgeous in a magic location. We have been coming here for the last 7 years, every year, always staying in one of their apartments. The apartments are beautiful, comfortable, clean and with a great view. Just in front of the beach. The location is perfect! The services of the hotel are excellent, the food as well, the swimming pool so nice. The reception is super kind and open minded - they always find the way to satisfy you. The town is magic and offers all the necessary. Will always come back!

We have just returned from a one week stay in one of the suites with private pool and very much enjoyed the whole experience. Platja d'Aro is a lovely town with beautiful beaches, only 3 minutes away from the hotel located in a quiet and peaceful area. Overall our stay was lovely and peaceful, very restful and as it was early in the season, the town and the beach areas were quieter. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful and efficient. We had breakfast each day, lunch on one occasion and dinner in the restaurant a couple of times and enjoyed every experience, the mussels were a particular hit! The terraces and pool area is great, no doubt entertaining for the children, but peaceful enough for the adults to chill and the pine trees made for a lovely setting. Our suite was very nice, such a clever use of space with the various zones. The bed was comfy and although there was a lounge and TV we never used it, choosing to sit outside by our own little pool which was so enjoyable to have. We would be happy to stay agin and to recommend.

Hotel de 2 estrellas muy limpio, céntrico y con un trato por parte del equipo muy amable, profesional y familiar. Saben sacar partido a un edificio que tiene muchas batallas a sus espaldas con un decoración moderna y atractiva. La habitación (la 106) muy completa: aire acondicionado, jabón en ducha y lavamanos, balcón dónde poder comer, tv y muy limpio (recalco este aspecto). No tengo pegas a sabiendas que es un hotel de 2 estrellas. Encantados de todo corazón.

It’s our first day at this hotel and we already regretting that we choose it for our vacation. I choose it because I have read so many good reviews about the place. But everything went wrong from the first touch which was reception. The lady wasn’t welcomed at all. I love Spain and Spanish people a lot, they are all so kind and always energetic and helpful. But here we felt unwelcome like we have entered that lady house and she didn’t want us to stay here. After that we find out that we got a room with a view over the taxi pick up point, with dirty floor, dust over the shelf’s, fungus inside of the shower, only one garbage bin which not even opening, hairdryer which is working 2 min and after switching off, flys and spiders in each corner of the room. Even the bed linen is torn. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone.

Se trata de un hotel SIN personal. Únicamente una persona que sirve los desayunos y supongo que también hace las habitaciones. Tienes que hacer el check-in on-line obligatoriamente con los datos de todos los viajeros antes de la estancia, en una página con algunos errores que inducen a confusión. Hecho el check-in, te envían por correo una clave que permite abrir tanto la puerta principal como la de las habitaciones, y te facilitan un teléfono de contacto por si hay problemas. Hasta aquí todo bien. Fuimos con la familia para una sola noche de estancia. Los códigos funcionaron, y las habitaciones estaban bien. Un poco pequeñas, pero limpias y con lo mínimo necesario. Tienen TV, aire acondicionado y wifi, pero no neverita. El baño, con ducha, limpio y correcto. El problema vino en que al parecer durante la noche se desactivaron los códigos de entrada y al salir a las 8 de la mañana a dar un paseo ya no pudimos entrar. Nos abrió la persona de servicio, pero no pudimos entrar a las habitaciones. Esa persona no pudo (o no supo o no quiso) hacer nada al respecto y tuvimos que llamar al ”teléfono de emergencia” donde nos atendió una persona que en ningún momento se identificó ni se disculpó, y al cabo de unos minutos nos pudo abrir las habitaciones a distancia. Nos dijo que habían tenido un problema informático, ... etc pero hasta las 11:00 (cuando ya nos íbamos) no nos resetearon los códigos. Otro tema insatisfactorio es el desayuno. Sobre el papel está bien, con lo básico pero de satisfactoria calidad. El problema es que el comedor es muy pequeño, con 6 o 7 mesitas para dos personas, y con poca comida y bebida disponible, con la idea de ir reponiendo a medida que se consume. Como el hotel tiene algo más de 20 habitaciones, y el día que estuvimos estaba lleno o casi, nos encontramos que entre 9 y 10 h bajaron casi todos los huéspedes a desayunar, creando un ”tapón” importante. La única empleada no daba abasto, y se acabó todo: comida, bebida, cubiertos, manteles, etc. Se estropearon a la vez la máquina de zumo y la de café, gente de pie esperando, etc ... Nosotros éramos 6 y tuvimos que tuvimos que desayunar en mesas separadas y no al mismo tiempo. En fin, que aún comprendiendo que estamos en temporada baja, y que la informática puede fallar a veces, hemos echado en falta una atención personal e implicada

just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel delightful hotel and staff very friendly and helpful asked for extra pillow got one within five mins rooms cleaned every day I had requested a fridge for our room cost 14£for the week well worth it no coffee /tea facilities in room but id read this beforehand so brought my own kettle {we love a early cuppa }only drawback only one socket in the room so make sure you bring extension to use entertainment isn't brilliant catering mainly for Spanish but did have a terrific guitarist on when we where there also nice big shower plenty of hot water the meals although not terribly hot where enjoyable and plenty of choice plenty of sunbeds no early morning towel reserve as pool wasnt accessable until 9 am a 5min walk to the beach loads of supermarkets close at hand gifts shops restaurants etc also the charming old town is again around 5 mins walk loads of little side streets to explore one has a bowling alley and cinema we took a trip on both little tourist trains the blue one takes you round the old town the little green one takes you up to the castle where there is amazing views well worth the trip we also took in a boat trip around the bay where your able to stop off at another beach Tossa de mar is on the whole a quiet place to stay for a relaxing holiday if you want more nightlife Loret would be a better area the bus to Loret takes around 20 mins and runs every half hour We enjoyed our visit but found a week sufficient{ ps also market day is on a thursday}

Service was fantastic. Great location. Walking distance to nice beaches and the Playa de Aro town. But it is in a tranquil environment surround by pine trees. We loved the swimming pool. My family really enjoyed our stay. Great for families with kids.
