The property is not even 2 stars. Right from check-in, the experience was terrible. 1. The property is poorly staffed - There is no staff at the hotel right from the reception to the restaurant. There are no phones in the room to call the room service. You have to walk down to the reception for every single thing you need. 2. The hygiene overall is extremely poor. The towels to linen all seem to be used. There are no toiletries provided in the room. 3. The rooms are poorly lit with old furniture. 4. The restaurant is another area that requires a lot of attention in terms of hygiene, food, and staff behavior. 5. There are security concerns around the hotel. 2 of our group members lost their luggage from the lobby, and the hotel staff had no answers nor did they provide any support or expressed any concern over the theft. Overall, the property is strictly avoidable.
Overall, this hotel is a good experience. There are various options of transportation, so moving around the city is not difficult - although distances can be a bit long. The hotel could benefit from some regular maintenance, so that premises and amenities are kept in better conditions: for instance, some curtains are ragged, and bed sheets seem to be stained. Little details matter...
Please do not live in this hotel, it’s basically not in Barcelona, you have to take the public transportation up to 1 hour to get to Barcelona by transferring at least twice. The wi-fi is too unstable to even watch youtube video. Most importantly, some staff are NOT capable of their jobs. On the first day I came here, I called the reception and asked about the laundry fee, a Tall Thin old man told me and emphasized twice that the laundry fee is included in the room and said they would ask people to pick up my clothes. However, nobody came. When I called again, a middle-aged woman told me that I have to drop the clothes in the reception because they don’t have time for me now. As she said, I went down with my bag of clothes. However, an old man in the reception said I should not give them the clothes but to leave in my room. But they can ask people to drop the clothes in my room and then took them to the laundry. What a mess! When I picked up my laundry I was surprised that there was a long bill since the guy in reception clearly said the lauded was in the room fee. And when I went to the reception and asked, the girl with long blond hair confront with me and acted very condescending. To quote exactly what she said ‘No, you must misunderstood, you room even did not include the breakfast, it came with nothing, only the wi-fi. Laundry fee is not in the room, everyone knows!’ I explained patiently multiple times and asked her to maybe ask her college because I didn’t tell a lie but she rolled her eyes and literally said ‘I can’t do anything, if you don’t understand, you go ask my boss’ and pointed to the boss (an old man stand right besides her talking to another customer). Before I opened my mouth, this girl talked in Spanish to her ‘boss’ first and the old guy frowned. I was pretty sure she tell the truth. I didn’t say I don’t want to pay the laundry, but I have to check what I heard. The way these staff did their jobs and solve problems were one hundred percent unprofessional and annoying. I love traveling in Barcelona but these few people just made our impression on Spanish hotels go down.

Typical Novotel property, away from the city center but reachable by public transport, direct public transport bus (L77) is available for euro 2.40 to reach the hotel (Last stop) - refer to Google map. Nice and comfortable lobby and room, L-3 tram is available at 400m from the hotel which drops you at the nearest metro station, staff will advise about the same and city center attractions. The room was spacious with all the required amenities The reception staff was very nice special mention to Ms. Paula, she explained to us how to use the public transport in line with the attractions upon our arrival, Ms. Jessica was also great during our checkout Does it have a repeat value? for us Yes. We love to stay in this property again whenever we come to Barcellona.
We booked our holiday as a reasonably priced getaway and unfortunatley things weren't as we had expected. On arrival we were not aware that we would have to self check in (our reference number didn't work) and that no one manned the front desk until 12pm and leaves at 8pm every day. Luckily as we landed at 11am and got to the hotel before lunchtime another guest let us into the lobby (as there is a code to gain entry) we waited for the gentleman staffing the desk to arrive and we asked if we could drop our bags at reception so we could at least explore rather than waiting 3 hours to check in ( the man on the front desk assisted us using the check in machine when we returned to chek in and also arranged us an extra key card). He kindly took our bags and we went out to explore the area. If you don't want to walk alot then this isn't the best place to stay. There are a couple of supermarkets in a short distance from the hotel, a small one and a bigger one for all your daily needs. The hotel itself, unfortunately, was lacking in many areas- the sauna is not there to use any longer which we didn't realise when booking and the pool is only accessibly 12pm- 8pm when the desk is manned. The gym is generally OK but the cardio equipment stopped working on our 3rd day and didn't get repaired during out stay. The pool is very busy with teenagers and young children and is in between buildings so not that great for sunbathing as at times there is no sun reaching the area. It seemed that the locals came to use the pool too. The other quire disappointing thing was that there is a restaurant but it was never open so no option for meals here, only a vending machine I'm the lobby. The room was fine it was clean and had a fridge, hob and microwave and some utensils so we made our own food at times. The good thing about the travelling from the hotel is you can get a travel card from the tram stop by the hospital and it covers the metro/buses and tram for however many days you want to book a ticket for, we did 4 days and travelled to Barcelona on multiple occasions. There are beaches with stones and without the further you go from the city pass the harbour about 1mipe down the beach is a better beach with a life guard and less people trying to sell you stuff when your sunbathing. We visited the wax museum which was great fun and enjoyed eating at makamaka and another restaurant a bit further down both reasonably priced and great food. Other than these challenges we had a lovely stay and made the best of it, I hope this information is useful for your holiday if you are visiting and any questions feel free to ask. Happy holidays 😊
We stayed at this hotel because it was a budget option “close” to the airport…. We paid about 70 euros (+ 10 euros for parking)... it is in a somewhat secluded area near some industrial estates…. Very nice staff, with 24-hour reception. The room is simple but spacious and clean…. The bathroom is similar, spacious and clean. It is a correct option considering the prices of the surrounding area.
Absolutely everything you could want to explore Barcelona. Went for a weekend trip. Easy to travel to all tourist sites in Barcelona from the hotel. Receptionists were very friendly and polite. Very modern hotel in general and everything is up together. Buffet Breakfast was decent enough, food was of a good enough standard. Relatively quiet around the hotel but most likely as we went in December - which was a great time to go as it was just the right temperature for sightseeing. Still a couple of restaurant and a pub or two open nearby. Sleep quality was good with comfortable beds and minimal noise. Soft Drinks to buy in the hotel and tea+coffee were all a reasonable price. Nothing extraordinary but all basics were provided and it was very modern and well kept. Would visit again and recommend if going to Barcelona.
Room was very clean, cool and spacious. The balcony was very beautiful especially in the morning. Bathroom was clean and we didn’t have to wait around to use it personally (was usually empty). Other guests were friendly. Air con was a treat in the heat. There is no lift so if you have luggage can be a struggle up to the 3rd floor but we managed! Host was very accommodating when contacted and was very helpful and friendly. Thank you for a great stay.
+ Sophie's welcome in French the person who managed our entrance and exit. The very exciting breakfast and very good. The smile of all staff in the corridors, in the salon. The hotel's restaurant is close to the hotel's restaurant and bistro (restaurant) for lunch and dinner. - No machine has coffee in the room. A very positive opinion on all the benefits, I recommend this establishment.
