Best Torredembarra Hotels

Located in a historical building in the old town of Altafulla, Hotel Gran Claustre is a peaceful stay in this busy tourist location. Plenty of historical sights to enjoy around it. Rooms are clean, even though could do with a new hand of painting and more attention to details: like the shower which made a mess every time because it is not fully closed, so some water makes it out and floods the bathroom floor. There is parking space for cars, right in front of the hotel but they charge 6€ per day even for hotel guests, however drive a few minutes further up and there is plenty of free spots. Swimming pool is nice, boutique style, not big but well taken care of and picturesque.

We were in family for the nearby Port Aventura (12 minutes by car) for that sense well. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable, and it is very good to stay in the hotel. The outdoor microwave that comes well to warm things doesn't work well (although they have checked it and say if) it is not, we agree with several customers in this. I suggest you change it. The hotel is very good and very careful, so I put two stars. And Ali the owner also well and service. The worst of the establishment is one of the owners that is in reception. Disgraceful, badly educated, edge. the hotel very well, clean, the food as at home, the staff superfriendly but I want to put some things that I didn't like -- NO HAVE A ALLOWN FOR FATCH PERSONS, HAVE ONLY TO XL -- NO FISIES, HAVE ONLY TERAPETYS FOR MASAGE AND Treatments, very pleasant and professional. I personally after going I couldn't give me all the treatments I wanted for not having staff, and it's a faena after going I can't give the treatments you want and have Quew to pay the hotel for nothing. --There is no coffee shop, with which you can't take anything from anything... This is 50 metres from the beach, very quiet, open chiringuits and restaurants and shops too.

Minim Asst in style but not in provision. Breakfast is superb, and can be eaten in or out. Outdoor area is not extensive but the pool is big, and the surroundings give plenty of shade. Culture of guests means that sunbeds become quickly available. Bedroom vey comfortable, with good air conditioning, plenty of hot water. Beds invite sleep. Bar and restaurant staff outstanding. Reception staff need drawing out to help! Ten minutes ( smelly) walk into town, which can be hot, but much better than staying in the town itself. Only criticism was that if you have a late train/ flight there is zero provision ( eg shower) to change other than a toilet. We were told we couldn’t keep the room but a sneaky check showed that the room hadn’t been made up at the time we left two hours later! But that didn’t mar the whole experience.

The hotel needs an urgent reform. Breakfast buffet with very low quality products. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. Good attention in reception. During breakfast, staff is not available. Room with very old furniture.

Good first impressions - well put together hotel with great amenities and nice staff. First evening I ordered room service - It took over 1hour 15 minutes to arrive, and that's after I went to ask at the reception. Also the room door wouldn't shut properly - it was still open when it seemingly had clunked shut - but this was dealt with swiftly, thank you. First shower I had - oh dear - it has a head with one narrow spray (not like a regular/ normal round or rectangular one) that fires at you almost horizontally and in a narrow clump (irritating and impractical) - so even when you try and slow the pressure, it still goes to the back of the bath, over the bath end, and swamps the bathroom - firstly you simply cannot shower with such a dumb 'design student' reject style shower head, and secondly you'll spend several minutes after finishing having a shower, using up all the towels to mop the bathroom floor, and leave them in a giant wet mess, only to start smelling during the night - terrific (not) ! The last time I experienced a shower head that went only horizontal over the back of the bath, was a (very good, apart from this,) two star hotel in Morocco - but even that one had a regular round head (so you could actually wash properly/ normally under it), not a single tiny narrow head like at this hotel. The room I had was the cheapest, and apart from not having an opening window (I know this is kind of standard these days, so I'm not bothered), it was a well appointed comfortable room and even had a side view of the Med, which was great. People will always come to this hotel because of its awesome location, including a roof terrace ..commanding some of the best full vantage points in Tarragona (and many other reasons), but I hope the complacency of them knowing this, doesn't hold them back from considering customers' improvements / suggestions. I had pasta carbonara for dinner the 2nd night - a few tubes of pasta in a thin limp sauce, with some almost microscopic strands of ham (seemed like a microwave job) - no bread with it, no salad, very very unsatisfactory it was ..I was still hungry, so I ordered a small pizza, which was ok, but seemed like a basic supermarket one (it wasn't good), and it took a long time to arrive. The rooftop pool, they call a 'plunge pool', but this is underselling it - I did lots of lengths in it, it's maybe 4ft deep .. it's great. The lower pool is also nice and is much bigger and deeper. The day I left, the fire alarm went off at about 7am - A bit annoying. Some people started to leave the building and some probably didn't. This is overall a very good hotel, and I was really impressed. I liked the staff on reception, the breakfast staff and the rooftop bar/ restaurant staff - they were all very friendly and very efficient - This is especially nice when you're by yourself. Tarragona is great and swimming in the sea was wonderful too.

Hemos pasado unos días de vacaciones en familia. La comida estaba muy bueno todo pero faltaba variedad era o un plata de pescado o un plato de carne, luego estaba el buffet de ensaladas y con eso nos arreglamos, todos los días había pasta que los niños es lo único que han comido, favor es que poco pero todo estaba muy bueno. Las habitaciones por amplitud bien, lo malo que han habido días que a las 4 de la tarde aún estaban sin hacer y pues claro si quería ir a descansar un rato antes de ir a la playa te tenías que esperar o irte sin echar la siesta. Luego teníamos todo incluido y una de las tardes un camarero italiano (lo digo por identificarlo de algún modo) fue muy desagradable y dejó a los niños y a los mayores sin merecer, ya que cerró el bar de la piscina y nos dijo que no había nada ni nadie para ayudarle a dar las meriendas, cuando anteriormente sólo había un chico sirviendo y no necesitaba ayuda. En fin que los niños no merendaron. Que conste que lo comunicamos en recepción para que mandarán a alguien pero aún así el señor cerró el chiringuito. El personal todos muy amables y atentos menos este señor que fue desagradable desde el primer día, y no lo digo yo sólo lo decía todo el mundo. Pese a todo lo hemos pasado bien y sobre todo hemos descansado un montón ya que las habitaciones son muy silenciosas. Un saludo.
