Hotel is located two minute walk from the Duero river where there is a path to walk/jog and view the city walls (from the outside) as well as the water mills. It is also located within a five to ten minute walk from main square (Plaza Mayor). Menu of the day at the hotel was of high quality on the day we had it. Perhaps a bit expensive by local standards but well worth it. Staff ranged between very helpful and a not so much. Like always and everywhere, it depended on the individul.

Sobretodo doy Dos puntos por la ubicación y por la pista de patinaje que era el plato ducha en la que estuve a punto de darme un buen porrazo. La ubicación: está dentro de un polígono industrial junto a un club nocturno. Hay que coger el coche si quieres ir al centro de la ciudad. Es una zona peligrosa para ir andando ya que está alejado del centro citado. En cuanto al plato ducha resbalaba muchísimo y sin un solo agarre y sin repisa para poder poner el champú o gel. Cuando me duché no pude moverme del sitio pues di varios resbalones al entrar. Así que a la mañana siguiente no pude ducharme por miedo a caerme. Tampoco tiene neverita. Por lo demás, decente y limpio para pasar una noche, pues sin vistas si habría la ventana. Sólo tenía una pared cercana. Así que yo no volveré. Lo cogí por error creyendo que estaba cerca del centro.

Es un hotel situado cerca de la calle Santa Clara, ideal para recorrer todo el casco histórico de Zamora. A destacar la amabilidad y buena disposición de todo el personal para hacernos la estancia cómoda y agradable. La habitación, en la tercera planta, tenia un ventanal a la calle principal y el cuarto de baño también con ventana, amplio y muy nuevo. Las comidas abundantes, ricas y bien presentadas. Silencioso y muy limpio. Muy recomendable.

It looks good, I'll give it that. And unlike some other Alda hotels, the front desk is staffed. However...the air conditioning barely works, and the thermostat in the room was clearly a placebo. Zamora is hot in the summer, and the room never cooled down to a comfortable sleeping temperature. So, even though the bed was good, quality of sleep was terrible. When this place was converted from an old bank, I think it was, no one bothered to install any soundproofing. If you're on the first floor, every footfall above you is clearly audible, as is every closing door in the hallway outside. Less egregious, but still annoying, is that if you're a foreigner, the TV is useless. Every normal TV in Spain, cable or not, has the capability to change the audio language from dubbed Spanish to the original language. Yet this capacity was disable here, and naturally, no one could figure out how to fix it.

Good comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Should pay more atention to turn on the heater before clients arrive. We arrived late and the rooms were freezing. After noticing it we were immediately given another room but situation could have been avoided.
