On a stopover from the Atlantic Coast going eastwards, we choose this hotel on the basis of location and Accor-own descriptions. The daytime staff was friendly and helpful after a mishap (we had accidentally made a reservation for a year later!) and check-in was fine.. The menu choice for dinner is small but good and the food is good. But then: 1. The ”Do not disturb” card for the door missing in the room, no card at the reception where they offered to bring one to the room. This never happened!, 2. The rooms have stains on the floor, and several bulidings are blocked due to apparently very necessary renovations and the beds (!!!) have matresses which are as old as the buildings which are nice but probably from the 80-ies. One feels the metal springs with every movement and one rollls into the middle of the bed due to the poor quality of the worn out mattresses. The bathroom has an elctric heater of the 80-ies with unbearable noise! 3. The breakfast is of poor quality as well (scrambled eggs of courseare made from something like egg beater in the tetra pack but then watery due to lack of cooking or heating up with no taste at all!). OK: local cheeses and salami, organic yoghurt... some fruits, but nothing really special. Positive to mention the automatic machine with ”Espresso ristretto” as a choice and usually friendly personnel. Bot all in all a miserable relationship between (poor) quality and (high) price. That is the reason for ”Never again!).
Overall the hotel is well
Well located for what I had to do, just at the entrance of the motorway, without being noisy.
There is just a microwave missing, because when you go back to 00:00 1h of the mat as I do lai you would like at least to make a tea ...

I needed something near the motorway on the long drive back from the Alps. It's like a travelodge back home. Got a good deal on *******. Room was basic but clean . Staff were all friendly and helpful. Had dinner in the restaurant which was surprisingly good and also good value. Has a car park. Did the job and I would happily stay again.
Hostesse d'accueil très sympatique
The room itself is not very large and not very light, we had to light the lights as soon as we were in the room and despite this, the room remained dark.
The bathroom is clean but I think repair wouldn't hurt him , the closed shower garden doesn't allow to take a comfortable shower .
There are many choices for breakfast.
Price for 2adults/2children was around $88USD. Breakfast is additional €10-15/person. Room was tiny, even by European standards. Room and toilet/washroom were adequately clean. Room had two levels (photo attached) Linens were clean, but had not been full dried/damp. Hotel is easy on/off a main expressway. Several dining options within 3km. Front desk is not always staffed. Self check from a kiosk outside o requored at these times. Booking numbers from US travel companies may not work at kiosk. Contact property a few days earlier to get a useable code.
On our outward journey to Belgium we had planned one night in the ”B&B Hotel” in Auxerre - Le Monétau. There was only one person at the reception, the room was very small, with just the bare necessities. The night was fairly quiet, but then the next morning when we got to breakfast there was practically no breakfast, not even a buffet! There was just some French bread, some butter, not even cheese or some ham, we don't want to talk further about this subject, the breakfast was below average, there was no refill, no one was present when checking out! If we compare all this with what we then offered to our guests for breakfast in our B&B, then this could be compared with a war ration! Never again an overnight stay in a B&B hotel for us.
it's restaurant looks like a burger place, but it servers (very well)very good French food, Recommend. The room was a typical Ibis, ok for a nights stay. We would have liked to see grab handles in the shower. All the staff spoke English, and were excellent. Very poor internet. Would use again.
I have stayed at this hotel several times before. Madame Sylvie is always friendly and helpful. Antonin who was at reception, checked me in very quickly, and I had a few good chats with him during my 4 day stay. Weather was changeable, not like the usual summer in Auxerre, but when possible, great to sit in the garden with a coffee or glass of something. My room was adequate, with a good walk-in shower. A chair at the desk area, but no other chair provided. I did ask Antonin who offered another chair from the breakfast room, but that was also an upright chair, not one for reading and relaxing in. Breakfast was also adequate, nothing special, and sometimes the scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit or yoghurt seemed to take a long time to be replaced or on one morning, not replaced at all! The price for breakfast is definitely too high. No coffee or tea facilities in the room. You can ask at reception and they will happily bring you a coffee at a cost of 3 euros! Free bottles of water available at reception. I have friends in Auxerre, and this hotel provided a good base from where I could easily walk to their home. Hope to visit again.
