We enjoyed so much the Maison Verchant and wanted to experience the Domaine de Verchant… and we cannot hide our disappointment in terms of accommodation and restaurant experience. The breakfast, the spa, the bellboy remain at high standards… but the room is so old (mattress too much used, not enough light in the bathroom, a leaking bathtub…) even tough we received a free upgrade. We had dinner at the La Plage - the apéritif was average but the staff was too busy, the starter was decent, the main course too dry and the dessert acceptable. As bread lovers, we were disappointed as it was so dry we did not finish it. The atmosphere in the room was spoiled by a very noisy wedding lunch - why did you not privatize the room for this event?

Appart functional hotel, correct equipment microwave boiler etc even if I've served it, by counter older furniture, all-used seat cracked etc , a refreshing paint would not be luxury, 2 take sector ( 1 in ka room and 1 in the corridor next door) it is quite little, and in the bathroom zero taken ( electric tooth pad and shaving. We arrived at 3pm, as had been agreed for check in, no one to welcome us but we knew it, why if you don't have any reception staff between 11am and 5pm, do you inform us that check in takes place from 3pm? If we had known, we would have shown up later. However, as soon as we try to open the door following the instructions they provided us via email, the booking code they sent me doesn't work, the door doesn't open and there isn't even a sign explaining that the door opens. The access is not that but a hidden door at the back! To reach it you go around the garden on the land and on the lawn. A kind local lady intervenes and helps us, we call assistance by phone and they explain to us that we have to access from the other side (at the back) the call costs us a good €12 (a theft), we finally go to the other door and we log in, we find the automatic check-in machine but even there, as it happens, the code doesn't work. we call assistance on the intercom (because only there - see the case again - there is an intercom to speak to an operator who immediately gives us another code which this time works. What do you think? For me it's all done artfully to steal the money from the call to the support call center. We honestly felt robbed. No one deigned to help us. Highly not recommended!

Located in the center of Montpellier, the environment is good and the hotel is lovely. The internal facilities are clean, people clean every day, the front desk has French and English services, the young lady is very helpful.

We parked at the hotel on Friday afternoon and didn't move the car again until leaving on Sunday afternoon. Staff were friendly and helpful, but we noted the rooms had variations in facilities; we had a bath, the room beside had a shower cabinet. Hotel du Parc is well situated; an up hill walk takes you past the oldest ”botanical gardens” in France, up to the the place de Louis 14th (I think) and into the old city. Montpellier is a Southern Paris, beautiful architecture, plentiful bars and high quality restaurants, but without the chaos of high-speed traffic. The tram system stretches into the suburbs, affording cheap and easy travel throughout the city.

I had booked a classic room but when we arrived at the hotel we were given a large, very spacious room, n124 in fact I thank Ms Camélia because it was she who welcomed us on our arrival she even gave us the room at 12:30 p.m. we were very happy because we were very tired as we made the trip at night and also it was done she who did the check out when we left she was very kind, smiling and very professional
