Currently staying in the renaissance room- up one flight of stairs but we were helped with our luggage from a young man I assume is the owners son. Room spacious with everything we need- a fridge and a microwave, hot shower, super comfortable bed. The owners are very helpful and welcoming. A 5 minute walk to all Dijon attractions and +++ restaurants. Breakfast included in our tariff and the food is abundant and fresh. The pain au chocolat this morning was amazing. If coming to Dijon, I can recommend highly.

GGuest UserA McGallery Collection medium-sized property with an unsurpassed de rigeuer location for serious sightseeing and shopping travellers. Lit up in pink at night, it is an impressive historic structure overlooking Darcy Square/Garden conveniently walking distance to the prime tourist spots of old Dijon: the Cathedral, the Ducal Ducal Palace/Musee de Beaux Arts, Place de la Liberation, and feeding spots ranging from the Les Halles Dijon to the Michelin-starred L’Asperule. Diagonally across are the city tramway rails with a fortuitous station stop. Crossing the tram railway takes you to the Rue de la Liberte through the landmark Porte Guillaume (William Gate), which is the main sightseeing and shopping drag of Dijon’s old city center packed with period buildings. Equally fascinating side streets packed with historic structures and sites feed off this main street. The hotel itself has smallish rooms along dark hallways, with views of Darcy Square, its garden or adjacent buildings and furnished in spare modernist style with oversized modernist art copies and see-through bathrooms. Reception staff are charming but unexceptional. You basically take care of yourself here. The Bar is a very popular post-sightseeing relaxation spot with great cocktails and friendly wait staff, with occasional small live jazz entertainment at night.
FFulishizhaohedeHotel location is very good, the train station is out for5-8 minutes. The facilities are also good, there is a small French garden, swimming pool, and a jacuzzi. The room is considered to be among the French hotels we have stayed in, relatively large, and the facilities are quite new. Breakfast can also be 😃 In short, all are satisfied, very recommended.
GGuest UserThe hotel is fairly close to the train station and not too difficult of a walk if you do not have a car. They do have parking at the hotel which would be convenient if you do have a car. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the city walls where there are plenty of shops and cafes. If you do have trouble walking too much though keep that in mind. There really isn’t too much directly near the hotel for dinner, groceries, etc. We were only there for one night, so it didn’t bother us. The hotel is decorated in a simple lovely style and everything was clean. The gentleman who checked us in was nice and gave us a few recommendations on restaurants and things to do in the city. We did choose to pay for the breakfast at the hotel which was your standard French breakfast with some pastries, cheese, meat, yogurt, eggs, etc. It was good as well as the pot of coffee. There is no coffee maker in the room and no water that I’m aware of. I wanted a beer that evening, but unfortunately they had ran out. It’s a bit of an older building so the floors squeak and the walls aren’t super insulated so we could hear the neighboring rooms fairly easily, but thankfully everyone went to bed at a decent time and weren’t unruly. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it. There’s a pizza truck place we wanted to try as it received so many good ratings, but it was a bit of a walk without a car. We ended up getting a pizza at L’oriental since it was by the train station and closer.
GGuest UserStayed one night in a studio. The hotel is perfectly located in the old town, minutes to shops, restaurants, palais des ducs and les halles public market. The hotel was clean and well kept, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was tasty and well stocked. Only drawback was the wonky elevators , drab hallway decor, and the fact that the desk is closed between 1 and 3 pm. If you arrive early to Dijon and wish to check your bag until check-in, make sure you get there by 1! Other than that, the place was top notch and we enjoyed our stay.

PP3231UXgabrielwWe booked the hotel over the phone and spoke to a very nice and helpful lady. My girlfriend had injured her back while on holiday so we needed a ground floor room. This was well described and turned out to be just what was required. However, when we arrived her male colleague was on reception and was unwelcoming to say the least. He printed off a bill and I didn't immediately mention the subterranean car park I'd been told about on the phone. When I spoke up about this he tore up the bill in my face and muttered a few words. He printed off another bill, with parking included, and then gave me inaccurate directions to the car park. The following day i was trying to park outside the hotel to collect my injured girlfriend. The 'delightful' gentleman was in a car behind me honking his horn. He knocked on my window and muttered come choice words. When I explained I needed to collect my partner he shouted a few expletives and drove off. Not really what you'd expect when booking a 100€ hotel room.

GGuest UserBeaune is always a good stop being the half way point to the South of France. I have stayed at Hotel de La Paix a number of times because of its central location to the restaurants, secure car park, consistent quality of service. The breakfast is also very good and well priced. Well done!
GGuest Userapart from the host, all the rest of the team was great, unfortunately I had to do with the host at my arrival, and there I screwed the cancellation of my night because his hosting cooled me well, briefly if you have luck you will avoid this Mr., old enough, but it doesn't excuse me.
