Our apartment was perfect for our family of 4. Plenty of room for us, our teen daughters and our pet dog! The gardens are beautifully maintained, food in the restaurants was delicious and the Lounge bar within the main house was grand and inviting. All in all a perfect stay and we will always use this hotel as a stop over, when making our way to other parts of France.

I have seen bad opinions, however, regarding this price, the cuisine of Mr, Madam in serious and careful services. The best way to get the best of the world is to get the best of the world. ... know ... But the little more that does Quality ... These patrons have widely understood it and offer it at a price so studied. Ibis far behind, nothing equivalent in this city, used to be from Plaza , Four seasons or others De Crillon, environ George IV, Paris. Here and whatever the critics, we must respect if we have been a client. Madam, sir, I thank you and I will be back very certainly, to find warmth, ambience, respect and pleasure. Well to you. Y. Symons
We stayed nine days in this hotel (including two Wonderbox) and we were happy to stay. The hotel was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. We have been able to enjoy four nights from the guest table. Simple and excellent. There are many advice and advice from David to not miss some visits such as the Couple and the Planetary in Helfaut. Restaurants at 15/20 minutes except for the weekend where you prefer to go directly to Saint Omer (30 minutes). The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable.
We had been here at least twice before and had no problems. This time sadly it was very disappointing. On arrival the window was open in the room so of course being January it was very cold. We closed the window and stayed in bed until we could go out to eat. On return, the room was no warmer, and nothing we did would make the heating come on. There was an electric heater in the room and at first it did not seem to work either - we discovered in the morning, the thermostat had been turned to min. not max. We had tried phoning reception, she said something about adjusting from their end but I guess that was just to get us to leave her alone. In addition to the lack of heating the window even when closed, had cold air coming in around it (not very green!). No wonder the noise of kids revving motorbikes outside seemed so loud when we were trying to have an early night. I could also feel the draught in bed and had to sleep with clothing wrapped around my head. At breakfast when we went around 7.30 there were no spoons - not even teaspoons - and my husband was trying to eat stewed apple and yoghurt with a fork. Just as we were leaving they were putting them out. Please management, fix the window and heating in room 106! Even for an Ibis Budget this wouldn't have been good at all.
The incheck was with a machine. Simple to do. Unfortunatelly we had to pay on the machine while we weren't sure that we would stay both nights. The room was big enough for us both but why is the bed so small? Please upgrade it to at least 180cm wide and 220cm long. My husbands feet were outside the bed aswell as our knies. The bathroom is for disabled people very nice but there's no showercurtain so everything is wet after taking a shower, toilet, toiletpaper and even the floor outside the bathroom! There were two towels to shower but no small towels to dry our hand after using the toilet. The bedsheet is too warm for this time of year and the pillows are too soft. Breakfast was too late for us, we left early. There is a curtain (we slept on the back of the hotel were the carshops are) but this curtain didn't keep all the light of the carshops outside! Everybody we spook how stayed in this hotel had the same opinion. It is great for the place where we stayed but the hotel itself could be better as told in this review.
Our second stay here. So convenient to stop here after getting the Channel Tunnel, on our way to Disney. Far cheaper than staying in Dover. Basic, but clean and a warm welcome. So nice to have a meal in the restaurant and to get ready for the next day. Nice touch from the staff to bring us some snacks as we played a board game in the restaurant as we had some pre-dinner drinks. We’ll be back soon.
En route to Calais we stayed at the Chateau for a single night. We’d managed to stay in excellent mail contact with Francis prior to our arrival, and actually as we arrived we were met at the door. The Chateau is a wonderful place to stay. No, not a Hyatt or Waldorf, but you’re not paying those prices, instead you are getting a unique experience in an old Chateau full of eclectic furniture, spiral wooden stairs and peaceful tranquility. Our room overlooked the garden to the rear and other than a dawn chorus was totally silent. Breakfast in the morning was a buffet, but made better by a supply of fresh croissants and breads on the table. Our hosts were fantastic. Conversation was easy and we were made to feel very at home. Would we stay again? certainly yes we would. As we were welcomed on the doorstep on our arrival as we departed we were waved off.
