Outstanding
DdombuThe location of the hotel is at the old town, actually is a bit hard to find the entrance if you are driving there. As we are driving we miss the hotel at the first time.
So for people who is driving there you can actually stop in front of the hotel and press the bell and people will come out and help you with the luggage
The service is really good, they carry our luggage all the way up the room
The room is big and comfy, they have bath hub and steam bath, which is really nice
GGuest UserAppears to be the only 4 star hotel in the hotel row in Mont St. Michel. The rooms have been renovated and are large enough by European standards and are comfortable Check in and checkout is efficient especially if you did it online, staff are friendly and helpful but lacking a smile to make it better. Hotel does not have an elevator, hence you need to haul your suitcases up the steps if you end up on 1st floor Breakfast is served in Le Pre Sale restaurant next door and for dinner reservations are strongly recommended
PParadise59718400175I hesitated to book at Le Relais Saint-Michel based on the prior reviews, but we really enjoyed our stay here! They emailed us a code to access the gate to the hotel guest parking lot prior to arrival, and we just drove up to the gate, punched in the code, and drove right up to the hotel. The rooms were not yet ready for us at around 4pm (a negative), so we left our bags with the hotel and ventured out to Mont Saint Michel. This hotel is the closest to the monument, and the bus stop is right in front of the parking lot, so it was a matter of minutes before we were at the foot of the Mont. We returned to the hotel after exploring for a few hours, and the check-in was fast and easy, and we had a recently renovated smaller room (101) with a nice outdoor terrace with a panoramic view of Mont Saint-Michel, and a much larger recently renovated room (201) with an oblique rooftop view, although still very nice. We found some minor issues with cleanliness (the prior guest's facial wash was not removed from the room), but otherwise the room was clean, comfortable, and just perfect for an overnight stay. The mont was not very illuminated at night (we were there a few days before the noctural illuminations), but it was lovely to gaze at it at night and in the morning when there were no people about, just goats. Would definitely stay here again if in the area - our friends stayed down the road at another hotel within the gates and I definitely think this was a superior experience.
We stayed 1 nt on 9/11/23 & the weather had just started to cool down. Room was hot upon arrival but propping our room door open & opening the window across from it & I also went down the hall & opened the building window..finally cooled down. We ended up sleeping well & could leave window open bc it was super quiet outside. Location: 1) the free shuttle directly in front 2) immediately next door(same parking lot) has Brioche Doree for take away sandwiches, croissants, etc 0830-1730 & a gift shop/huge general store open til 7p & even had some basic food & alcohol. Vending machine outside with food/drink 3) also in same parking lot is their restaurant where they can give you ice! (Get the “ice bag” from the Front desk first) Hotel: had 3 tables with chairs in the lobby, a picnic table outside, & an unlocked breakfast room that had a microwave in it. Room: only liquid soap in dispensers at sink & in shower as the toiletries Being that we were able to sleep well, I gave 4 & it was MUCH cheaper than other places near by(I booked in adv on their site), otherwise if during hot summers: 2 or 3 Tip: better yet, time your arrival to do MSM as a day trip (allow 2-3 hr) & then drive on to another town & sleep there
GGuest UserMy friend and I are traveling around France for a couple of weeks. We picked this hotel based on reviews and price. It was a good location to drive to Omaha Beach and the surrounding area. We each had a room with a king size bed, a very large bathroom with a wonderful shower and separate large tub. Free Coffee, tea and water provided in the room and a small refrigerator with snacks and drinks available at a modest price. Beds were very comfortable and room temp was great. Very quiet location and free parking. The best thing was Julia, the front desk staff person. Extraordinary service and assistance with everything we needed including ordering Thai food from a local restaurant because the restaurant was closed on Sunday night and Monday night, the two nights we were there. She deserves a GIANT Thank You and a Gold Star! I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to France.
XXieelaowangThree hotels were opened on the island. After all, it was an island. It was empty like a ghost castle at night. The hotel service was quite good. It is acceptable to have a slightly higher consumption in the hotel.
We first saw Bellefontaine on a touching movie ”A Foreign Field” that was created for the 50th anniversary of the debarquement, and filmed partly at the château. There was always the possibility that it might be a disappointment, but I am happy to say it wasn't. This hotel is a little gem, situated just 15 minutes walk from Bayeux centre, yet quiet and remote, a peaceful haven. The welcome was near perfect. Our room was not quite ready, so we were seated on the terrace and supplied with a drink each, a speciality of the hotel. Soon we were shown to our room which was splendid. Elegant, spacious, well furnished and scrupulously clean. Over two days we loved every minute. The staff deserve particular mention, both in reception and in the restaurant we were made to feel special guests. Should we ever visit Bayeux again, and we well might, we would consider nowhere else. Bellefontaine would be our home.
GGuest UserVery handy hotel to stay if you’re going to the memorial, 7 minute walk or a 1 minute drive to get there. Not too far from town either about a €13 cab ride.
Hotel is clean and tidy, my only complaint would be the lack of dining area in the morning, it’s very tiny.
The only facilities are a microwave and fridge in the room plus a vending machine selling basic stuff, that should be upgraded by the management to provide more of a selection for guests.
Another really great stay in Bayeux made all the better by staying at the Premier Classe - great value - great rooms - lovely and clean - a really well run hotel. The staff here are really nice and go out of their way to be friendly and helpful - I can’t recommend highly enough!
