The hotel sits on a privileged spot overlooking the whole of Lyon, but that’s about its only saving grace. Facilities are tired and in need of an update: non existent WiFi to the rooms, an advertised refillable bottle of water is missing, the shower over the bath has no screen or curtain making it impossible to keep the bathroom from getting soaked. Service is, at best, haphazard: a 20 minute wait for someone to show up at reception after requesting an iron and ironing board is met by a shrug of the shoulders and a “I cannot find it” reply. Breakfast is basic and with very little options. Not worth the money.

Spacious room with a bathtub in the bathroom just missing some small amenities such as bedroom slippers, toothpaste... Rather quiet environment, bus 2 minutes from the hotel. Quiet area with restaurants and cinema nearby, quite far from the city center.
The breakfast is not very complete and some foods are not fresh.
The staff at the top, very kind and helpful.

My wife has stayed here several times over the years, me, only couple. Lovely spa area, as usual But…. 1) the showers in the rooms are, and always have been, absolutely poor. No power, impossible to stay in a fixed position and difficult to adjust the temperature 2) the two lifts are small and incredibly slow 3) pre COVID you could go to the bar from the spa in the towelling robes. Apparently, people complained and now it is not allowed. But it is Ok for women exposing lots of flesh albeit in outdoor clothing. We don’t understand the logic We should not have to complain about the first two points about a fairly expensive 4* hotel

I stayed at Hotel Lyon-Ouest while traveling to Lyon for business. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were quite spacious and comfortable, while the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Although not in the center of the city, it was close to local transportation (bus and metro) which was very easy to use. Its location across from the river made it very relaxing and there were several restaurants within a short walking distance. I would definitely stay here again..

I spent a relaxing night in this hotel residence after a good day of travel and work. The bedding is great, the room very clean and spacious with the necessary equipment, desk, wifi. The room also has a balcony. We can enjoy it when the weather is nice.
There are restaurants nearby.
The street can be noisy with the windows open. But with double glazing and air conditioning, this inconvenience is easily resolved.

Very well priced, modern and very comfortable hotel. Good location off autoroute for one or two nights stay and close to Lyon centre. Good breakfast. Rooms have separate bathroom and loo, modern rain shower with great design and finish. Highly recommended.

After a long travel day, I just needed a cool, quiet, dark room with a comfortable bed to help put some jet lag behind me. After checking in, I went to my assigned room to find that is was rather warm. I visited a colleague’s room to see if perhaps all the rooms were warm or if it was just mine, and my colleague’s room was cooler. I reported to the front desk and asked for assistance. The front desk was attentive and responsive, but suggested I give it a few hours to cool down. We ate dinner in the on-site restaurant (which was fantastic) before returning to the room. After two hours, the room was still hot (24-25C) so I asked for a different room. I was given a different room but on the same sunny side of the hotel. The room may have been a little cooler, but not much. Perhaps the A/C is not adequate to overcome the heat transfer through the aluminum window frames or perhaps ok just tried two different hot rooms, but I’d urge caution if staying here on a warm day. I stayed in March (when it was much cooler) and had a very pleasant stay. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the amenities are nice. If staying on a warm day, I’d suggest a room on the back of the hotel. Perhaps it would be cooler.
