On our outward journey to Belgium we had planned one night in the ”B&B Hotel” in Auxerre - Le Monétau. There was only one person at the reception, the room was very small, with just the bare necessities. The night was fairly quiet, but then the next morning when we got to breakfast there was practically no breakfast, not even a buffet! There was just some French bread, some butter, not even cheese or some ham, we don't want to talk further about this subject, the breakfast was below average, there was no refill, no one was present when checking out! If we compare all this with what we then offered to our guests for breakfast in our B&B, then this could be compared with a war ration! Never again an overnight stay in a B&B hotel for us.

We never leave comments, but in this case, it is necessary. The room is dirty, very dirty: breakfast rests on the table and on the ground, the old moquette is dust and not one, it seems no longer being aspired from brightness, hair in the sanitary: shower, toilet and ever. When reading the comments, it is a common currency and the hotel's answer is: the information will be returned to the cleaning team what has not been done given the state of the rooms at present, as we hope to see you again. How to say: this is not risky. The door opening system doesn't work easily. We have sought qqun in vain. We really disconsequently do not recommend the hotel.

The room itself is not very large and not very light, we had to light the lights as soon as we were in the room and despite this, the room remained dark.
The bathroom is clean but I think repair wouldn't hurt him , the closed shower garden doesn't allow to take a comfortable shower .
There are many choices for breakfast.

I needed something near the motorway on the long drive back from the Alps. It's like a travelodge back home. Got a good deal on *******. Room was basic but clean . Staff were all friendly and helpful. Had dinner in the restaurant which was surprisingly good and also good value. Has a car park. Did the job and I would happily stay again.

We were 26 guests for this 60-year-old wedding anniversary of our friends. All was perfect, from the site, from our independent room, from servers, not to mention the very good invoice meal from the beginning to the end.

ZZHIHONGHelp us upgrade the family room. The price and the room are really affordable. The breakfast is small but the taste is good. The parking lot is at the hotel entrance. The parking is very convenient. It is a good place to go to Paris.

We stayed here for 5 nights on our honeymoon exploring the area around Avallon. The lady who runs the hotel was very friendly and helpful. This is a typical French provincial hotel done very well - our stay was comfortable and the accommodation was excellent value. The continental breakfast in particular was really great! If there is any downside it would be that some of the decor is a little dated (but everything is perfectly clean and tidy!) and the WiFi reception on the top floor was not very strong, but for us these were really minor points that didn't affect our stay. During our stay the weather was very hot, and thankfully the air conditioning in the room worked well. We wanted a cosy, comfortable, typical French hotel for our mini break, and we were not disappointed! Next time I am in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

DDavid BI have stayed at this hotel several times before. Madame Sylvie is always friendly and helpful. Antonin who was at reception, checked me in very quickly, and I had a few good chats with him during my 4 day stay. Weather was changeable, not like the usual summer in Auxerre, but when possible, great to sit in the garden with a coffee or glass of something. My room was adequate, with a good walk-in shower. A chair at the desk area, but no other chair provided. I did ask Antonin who offered another chair from the breakfast room, but that was also an upright chair, not one for reading and relaxing in. Breakfast was also adequate, nothing special, and sometimes the scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit or yoghurt seemed to take a long time to be replaced or on one morning, not replaced at all! The price for breakfast is definitely too high. No coffee or tea facilities in the room. You can ask at reception and they will happily bring you a coffee at a cost of 3 euros! Free bottles of water available at reception. I have friends in Auxerre, and this hotel provided a good base from where I could easily walk to their home. Hope to visit again.

GGuest UserUn hôtel du Groupe Louvre Hotels, d'un nouveau style qui n'a plus rien a voir avec les Premières Classes ”classiques”. Une vraie réception, un ascenseur desservant plusieurs étages, les portes de chambre dans des couloirs intérieurs, une vraie salle de bain dans une chambre de bonne taille… un vrai hôtel quoi! Nous avons été reçus par une personne charmante et très professionnelle. Le petit déjeuner servi sous forme de buffet est très bien et pour un prix modique viennoiseries, jus de fruits et boisson chaude sont à volonté! Les petits toutous sont acceptés partout, chambre et salle à manger, pour quelques euros seulement.

Excellent value.....first used 25 years ago...I think the rooms now need refreshing...... breakfasts excellent..... automated check-in could do with a bit more explanation during the booking confirmation... but all in all hard to beat for value

Comme tous les Ibis, pas très bien isolée , mais l hôtel n était pas trop fréquenté . Le seul petit reproche, pas de distributeurs, pour boissons, et autres .la personne de l accueil m a gentillement proposé un grand café . Donc je recommande cet hôtel . Ce matin, je suis partie rapidement , en étant sur l autoroute, c était facile . J étais avec ma siamoise .
