Lovely stay at The Waterman. Although there is a pub downstairs we didn’t make use of it as we had other plans. Warm greeting at check in and given keys to our room. Very comfortable room and very quiet. Breakfast the following morning was great, very friendly chatty and speedy service. We left our bags so we could explore Cambridge and picked them up later. Excellent bus service into the city or a 15 minute walk. A lovely relaxing couple of days in a beautiful historic city made all the more enjoyable by the guys at The Waterman. Highly recommended

The location is convenient. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel to get out of the city center. The front desk staff has very good service and explains carefully. The room is clean and comfortable with enough space Cambridge is an economical and comfortable choice

We had a fantastic 1 night stay at the Regent to celebrate our anniversary. The team went to great lengths to make sure our stay was memorable, with mini prosecco, chocolates and rose petals in the room on our arrival. The hotel is in a great location and is within walking distance of everything. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We stayed in a room that faced the street and it was suprisingly quiet. If we decide to visit Cambridge again we would book this hotel in a heartbeat.

Opposite Cambridge Railway Station, very good location, only five minutes walk away. Downstairs there are many restaurants and facilities are complete. The internal environment of the hotel is very good, the toiletries are complete, and the cleaning is very clean, highly recommended!

where do I start! the room we had was ok but very tired and in need of refurb, we were cold but reception gave us a portable heater, the bathroom was clean except for very dirty grout between tiles especially around the toilet, window blind was broken but useable. The spa pool is tired and cold, the sauna and steam room were good. We booked for an hours massage, my wife went in on time but I was 45 minutes delayed due to no staff. My massage lasted 45 minutes but was ok. We had the Serail mud treatment the next day which should have lasted 40 minutes but it was less than 30 minutes and hardly any steam. The room works on a timer so maybe the timer needs resetting. When I complained we were offer a day pass to the pass to take at another time. The wheel restaurant was ok but with a very limited menu, we booked with one night dinner included which was a choice of three starters, mains & sweet, to upgrade to the Á la carte menu was £30 extra per person which I thought was a little expensive, although a little cold the food was ok. Breakfast was not too bad the full English was not hot and the poached eggs were very watery. We had breakfast booked for each morning of our stay but, it was on the last day we had problems, the waitress asked if we had booked even though our room was on the list, she informed me she had many people booked but not enough space, I was abrupt and informed her the back of house problems are not mine so please seat us, it's not good when staff are telling you they have messed up, I did apologise to her when we left as I did get a little short. On checking out I asked the reception manager if I could speak with the duty manager, i was told they had nobody on site, i asked if they could call them so I could complain, reception told me if I complained she would be Kicked out so at this point I was rather annoyed and let her know, I was then spoken to by the Housekeeping manager and I must say she was the most professional person I had spoken to there, well done to that lady, listened to my complaint and apologised. Thank you Quy Mill for spoiling my 41 year anniversary of the day my wife and I first went out.....

The hotel is a very beautiful manor in the suburbs about 10km from Cambridge. There should be cows and sheep on the grassland in summer. I was attracted by other people's beautiful pictures when I made the reservation. After I checked in, I found it was really good, but I had to drive by myself and check in for free. The room was remodeled from the original dormitory, not quite but adequate, no air conditioning, slightly colder, breakfast quality is good, the environment is first-rate, it is recommended

This is a modern and clean hostel ,the staff are friendly ,kind and considerate, and listened patiently to my several and widely varied questions . I found out more from the reception here than the tourist information in Cambridge town centre (which is absolutely useless).The rooms are clean as are the showers and toilets .The food is good but a full breakfast is £9.95 and often you are only permitted 1 slice of bacon ,1 hash brown and 1 sausage which is financially poor value . Wetherspoons in Cambridge has a large breakfast for £7.95 but is a bit of a walk from the hostel. The location is good about 10-15 minutes from the railway station where there are other eating outlets . the self catering kitchen is good and there are kettles there to make your own hot drinks or bring takeaway food in if you wash and clean up afterwards .There is a lounge with books and board games and a tv with all the normal terrestrial channels. Parking in Cambridge is very controlled ,limited and expensive .I parked at the park and ride on Madingley road day return tickets are £3.50 and single tickets are £2.00. The park and ride bus service P+R 1 will only take you to st Andrews street (outside John Lewis) and there you must get another bus or face a 20/25 minute walk. The charge to park is about £10 per 24 hours booked over the phone. Parking near the hostel is on the road and is limited (Devonshire road) it is paid hourly by machine max 2 Hours or free after 5.00pm until 9.00am and free all day Sundays . Devonshire road is accessed by using the ring road and going down mill road (beware of the one way system.)

I booked a two night stay for my wife and I. Although I thought the cost to be on the expensive side, the photos of the room and hotel on the website were encouraging. On arrival, I was able to park at the rear of the hotel, but it seemed that the carpark was also used by non-residents, a car hire firm in particular. The hotel frontage and reception were very clean, bright and welcoming, with the staff being very friendly. Our room was a reasonable size, but very disappointing. It looked nothing like the standard shown on the website. The furniture was dated, the decoration was of an extremely poor standard and, although the room was clean, it looked grubby where it needed redecorating. The carpet was dated and had a line of paint along it, dating back from when the skirting was last painted. Our toilet door was sticky, the bathroom light pull hung down where the door was and the extractor was very noisy. Our room was on the ground floor next to the rear entrance. The outdoor smoking area is at the end of that path so, anyone making their way to and from the car park or smoking area walked past our bedroom window. The nights were very noisy from the restaurant, hotel and neighbours. People coming and going kept disturbing us and not everyone bothered to make it to the smoking area to smoke, and not everyone smoked purely tobacco. The pillows were uncomfortable and I did not enjoy a good night's sleep. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant, which is a separate concern from the hotel, was excellent. Overall, the hotel was disappointing, overpriced and not good value for money.

The hotel is a common self-service hotel in foreign countries. The landlord sends the password to the door. The room information and keys are placed on the first floor. In addition to the narrow corridor and no elevator, the sanitary conditions and environment are above average. It is located in Cambridge. On the edge of the city centre, walk to the main attractions for about 15 minutes; But the service 1 star is for Ctrip, the password of the hotel door I did not receive, the big night blowing at the door for more than half an hour, if someone came out from there, there would be no place to stay on the day; in the Ctrip hotel is to reduce Trouble, but Ctrip only mechanically transferred a travel guide to me. I didn’t have the responsibility to the customer. I couldn’t get it in a foreign call. Ctrip will at least transfer the hotel’s mail (and sometimes not) to the user. Otherwise, where is the agency fee charged?
