Vicki the wedding coordinator accommodated all of our requests and every member of staff went above and beyond on the day. We handed in a small bag of items which my husband planned to set up on the day, when he arrived every detail had been done for him. This allowed for a stress free enjoyable morning. We were married in the main castle and had our reception in the Stewart room. This suited our needs and despite covid restrictions at the time our day felt perfectly 'normal' (in line with the restrictions allowed). Our guests stayed in a few rooms which are huge and so comfy. We stayed in the Macintosh room which was stunning. My husband and I are looking forward to returning and staying again. The food was excellent with lots of choice and flavour. The roux menu is some of the nicest food we have ever had. We have since visited two ICMI properties and have to say they really set the standard for service and food across Scotland. We most recently stayed at Cromlix which similarly to Crossbasket had food to die for and service above the standard. This is something we highly recommend and we look forward to trying out other ICMI properties. Thank you to all the staff, if you are looking for a wedding venue (whether it be for 5 to 200 people!) we highly recommend this venue. Also to comment all of our suppliers had lovely things to say about the venue. Our makeup artist said it is her favourite venue to work with as they are so accommodating!
We just wanted to take some time to thank the staff at the Torrance hotel for making our wedding day so magical. The staff couldn’t have been any more helpful and nothing was too much for them. In terms of the hotel, everything from the food, decor and outdoor gardens is just perfect for your special day. The Stuart Suite is also absolutely stunning and we can’t wait to come back and stay again. Just an additional comment - a few days after our wedding we returned to the Torrance Hotel with our family for a meal (which was delicious!) and the staff brought myself and my husband a lovely ‘Just Married’ chocolate and strawberry platter. This really made our day and highlighted just how wonderful this venue & staff are. Thanks again for everything, The Daltons

The hotel is really nice and quiet, the bed was really comfortable.
It can be quite hard to find the way in if you’ve come at night when it’s dark and not many people around. It’s quite straight forward with transport links into the town when you know where you are going.
Don't waste your money - book elsewhere! Regrettably, stayed here on a business trip. The room was absolutely filthy and had what seemed like years of dirt and lint under the bed including a dirty slipper, plastic packaging and even some loose change, which just shows how poor the cleaning is. I called up the night manager who was supposed to bring a TV remote , and they kindly gave the room a light hoover after I expressed my disgust at the filth , but it was still filthy around the corners. The bathroom tops had old hair stuck in the corners too. There were apparently no other rooms to move me to so by this time the choice was to ether stay in the dirt room or sleep in my car so I opted to stay. Additionally, the TV remote was missing, as was the night manager who was supposed to bring a TV remote to my room. - After about 30 minutes and a reminder from me that then remote was missing, making it impossible to view the TV, I was brought a remote from an entirely different TV which obviously didn't do the job on the TV in my room. At that point I gave up the idea of watching TV and went to sleep. It rained quite heavily on the night of my stay and sine the gutter directly outside my window was broken and blocked so the water as cascading into a large pool directly below my windows . Since the windows were missing some hardware, they didn't close properly so the noise of the rain and cascading water filled the room. After showing the morning manager the photos I had taken the previous evening of the filthy room and the video of the extremely noisy overflowing gutter during checkout, there was an apology but nothing more. I did have a follow up call from the manger a couple of weeks later when I requested a copy of the invoice and I've been offered an upgrade the next visit which will be NEVER. That experience cost me £126-00 with no offer of a partial or full refund. I've stayed in countless hotels over the past 20 years and the Macdonald Crutherland is by far the worst. Avoid it like the plague !

Nestled in the semi-rural location of Eaglesham, the Best western Glasgow South Eglinton Arms Hotel has been a landmark building since the mid-18th Century, formerly a coaching inn in days gone by. The first conservation village in Scotland, and ideal for a quiet and relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
We are only eight miles from the city of Glasgow, where you can visit the many wonders of this city of architecture and enjoy the excellent shopping facilities, many of which are undercover with good parking. Visit little Italy where you will find a select range of boutique shops and restaurants situated in the merchant city area of Glasgow. We are only 20 miles from the world famous Turnberry Golf Course, where many golf opens are often hosted. Scotlands national stadium Hampden Park is six miles away, where major sport events and concerts are held on a regular basis. Enjoy your stay.
The service for food was Ok, food nice too. Room TV was not working and no intercom telephone in the room, making it difficult to reach the customer service when needed. wifi was not too strong as expected, probably due to room position. there was no complimentary drinking water in the room but there was nice complimentary tea in room. there was Ironing board but no Iron in the room, because of NO intercom , reaching customer service for an iron was not possible as my time was running. I could say the position is nice and the worker are friendly

RRebecca0301We just wanted to take some time to thank the staff at the Torrance hotel for making our wedding day so magical. The staff couldn’t have been any more helpful and nothing was too much for them. They were always so quick to respond to any questions we had in the lead up to our wedding too. My younger brother is autistic and after letting Dominic know this, he really went out of his way to ensure Noah had a great time. Noah cannot stop talking about this!
