The bathtub was not clean. I had a good scrubbing. The breakfast was good and the dinner was delicious. Both dinners were eaten at the hotel. The only thing is not good. You must rent a car. The car is over 30 pounds. Moreover, when we encountered bank holiday, there was no train driver when we returned. We even cancelled the train. We were very busy and made a bus. NationalExpress rushed to oxenholme and took a taxi to the train station in London. tired!

The environment is great. You can see the lake when you go out. It is the hotel's private lake view.
The room is also large and the hygiene is good in all aspects. There is no elevator, but staff can carry luggage.
But it is more suitable for self-driving friends. There are very few bus trips and you can only take a taxi. In the Lake District, there are only local taxis and no Uber.
I chose to stay at the villa on Lake Windermere in the Lake District for one night. The landlord was very Nice. The breakfast he made was delicious. The home was also very delicate and warm. [Smile], the villa is on the edge of the lake, there is a lake along the lake. The path can go to the cruise ship terminal and the town center, the scenery is beautiful
There is a pool, but there is no pool. The front desk service is not good, I feel that I am too lazy to take care of you, and seeing the child will force the extra bed to charge 35 fat one night, a bit arrogant. The room attendant was very nice and the waiter in the restaurant was very good.
The overall location of the room is good, very close to Lake Windermere, but the big slope at the door is a bit difficult to climb. We came here by bus 599, and we were exhausted climbing the slope with our suitcases.
The service is very good. The front desk was very enthusiastic after we arrived, and their butler Mike was very talkative. He introduced us to various facilities and had a pleasant chat with the baby. I felt that the service experience was very good as soon as I went there.
The family room we booked is very good. It has typical British windows, a small skylight, and the baby has his own small room. In short, I am super satisfied. Speaking of this, I have to add that the family room taken on the official website is too ugly. No window was taken, so I was worried that the room was not breathable.
The breakfast is still standard, nothing to say, the small courtyard is good, and it is great to come here for a relaxing vacation.
If there is a chance in the future, I will choose to stay here again and recommend it to my friends.
I especially recommend this hotel, a old English villa, which is newly renovated and British style. It is very clean and full of toiletries. It is 3 minutes away from the town by car. The room can see part of the lake view and the surrounding environment. Very good, I especially like their afternoon tea, the tea set is very exquisite, and I look at it with great care! Part of the breakfast is buffet, and the main meal is à la carte, with a large portion and enough to eat! If you have children staying with you, you must tell the hotel in advance that the children need to charge a fee of £28.50/piece/night! This fee includes breakfast and extra bed. If it is not stated in advance, the fee will still be charged, but there will be no extra bed!
Expresso capsule coffee is provided free of charge in the room, which is my favorite. Those who like coffee are very surprised!
My wife and I stayed at Burn How for 4 nights. Immediately we found the staff most welcoming and friendly. The pleasant atmosphere was maintained at breakfast throughout our stay. The spacious room- with everything you might need- was part of a block of chalets set romantically amongst some beautiful trees. If we return to Bowness we will look no further than Burn How for accommodation.

This hotel has a long history and was used to train marines during World War I. The location is also very good. You can sit in the restaurant or the outdoor porch and quietly enjoy the different views of Lake Windermere in rainy and sunny weather. The hotel has its own all-day restaurant, but the food on the menu is not very attractive. If you want, there is a high-scoring restaurant on Google Maps just a few minutes outside the hotel. The lamb, calf and fish seen in the lake area are all delicious. You can also see a rabbit family in the hotel garden. It is indeed the hometown of Peter Rabbit. It is also very convenient to go to the pier. You can take a ferry or rent a battery boat or a rowing boat. The battery boat we rented was because it was sunny that day. The battery boat has a sunshade and costs 42 pounds per hour.
Now let's talk about the service of this hotel. The front desk, the porter and the waitress in the restaurant provided excellent service during the two days we stayed there. However, I was not satisfied with the male waiter on duty in the restaurant on those two days: the guests were seated without tableware and were busy cleaning other tables. I called several times to order food but he ignored it and even replied: we are short of staff. After I took the knife and fork by myself and described the above situation to a male waiter who looked like a foreman, he asked me hypocritically if I needed a knife and fork now. The plates on the table could not be cleared in time. In addition, the herring was too salty. They did not actively ask for tea or coffee. Even the Twinings tea bag box on the breakfast table was empty for a whole morning until the meal was closed, and it was not replenished. Let alone other bread and other foods. In such a prestigious and historic Lake District hotel, such service is unacceptable. The good news is that the two waitresses on duty on the second day changed my feelings. They were enthusiastic and quick, and were willing to provide excellent service to customers. It happened to be the European Cup final that day, and the hotel provided guests with an activity room to watch the game together, which was still down-to-earth.
