Best Liverpool Hotels

"If you are heading to Anfield Stadium for a match, this hotel should be one of your best choices. At the very beginning, I thought it was a bit far away from the city centre, however, in fact there are quite a number of bus service to the city centre with just around 15 mins. Ok, by Google map, 30 mins on foot to Anfield. A bit far away? Trust me, you will end up spending an hour to queue for a bus. 30 mins walking back to the hotel definitely is the best choice. Just next to a supermarket where you can buy bottle water, next to Mcdonald as well. Walking back to the hotel and enjoy a British Pub food is also a nice choice. Staffs are friendly, and provide useful tips. Helped me to print out my broading pass. To conclude, my 3 nights stay was worthy! "

"The second time I stayed at Liverpool Raddison Red, this time I had a bad experience from the beginning 👎🏻 Because I was traveling with my kids and three big suitcases, the Italian girl at the front desk gave us the farthest room on the 5th floor, which required us to pass through 4 fire doors. I almost collapsed dragging my suitcases... I went downstairs angrily to ask the girl at the front desk to change rooms. The girl pretended that her English was not good and kept saying that there was no suitable room, which delayed us for more than an hour... Although we were finally changed to the farthest room on the 4th floor, which only required passing through a fire door... Even the children could see that the girl at the front desk was obviously playing dumb, absolutely bad review"

"The hotel’s location is great - near the Lime Street station and in shopping and eating places. Friendly and helpful staff. But the room is a bit old and rundown. The toilet flushing system should be improved. No fridge is provided in the room."

"The reviews can be quite negative from some people, and I do agree that the rooms could do with a freshen up, BUT it's an old hotel filled with character and history and we really enjoyed it for that. It's very central and 6 mins walk to Lime St Station and 7 min to Cavern Quarter. (The Vines pub next door is also a must & 15 min in opposite direction takes you up the Philharmonic pub, beautiful place with history and an award winning steak pie.). The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and really lovely. There are a couple of nice bars as you come into the reception area , including the American bar, which has a nice ship saloon feel. Got a great deal and stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. Would come back, the rooms do need a face lift though. 😀"

"It's similar to the low-end express hotels in the country. The lobby and the bar are shared one room. The bathroom should be remodeled. The dry and wet are not separated. The double bed in the double room is also more compact. The advantage is that the location is central, not far from Lime Street Railway Station, the seaside, and Liverpool One. But Liverpool is also a little bit bigger."

"Not bad, however the workers are rude and disregarded. Location is near city centre, however it's an ascent road going up."

"The spa was nice, but the bed had bed bugs, and I got bitten. The shower didn’t have a handheld option, and the water pressure was poor. I checked in at 11 AM, which was fine, but when we returned at 9 PM, I mentioned to the reception that we needed the beds split, but that never happened. The manager came over and started complaining. I reminded him that our request had been confirmed in the morning. He was a bit temperamental at first, but it calmed down when I asked for an extra duvet."

"The host took the initiative to greet us at the door. He was warm and thoughtful, helped with luggage, and introduced the facilities in the room and how to use them. The room was spacious, bright, hygienic and clean, and the bed was very comfortable! The world map on the wall at the front desk is very special, showing the cities where the guests staying here are from!"
