First time staying with family, the location of the guest house is very good, there is an Indomaret next door, quite a lot of food stalls, the mosque is only 50 meters away, but the cleanliness of the bathroom is still lacking, the bathroom smells. And parking if you bring a car, you have to fight with other guests.

Best Hotel anywhere. the rooms are nice, clean ,very comfortable and all that for sure..however what makes is GREAT IS THE STAFF..from Parking guys, to housekeeping to Mami Vika the place is great.. EVEN BETTER IS THE RESTAURANT.. HI BOS..APA KABAR.. โบ๏ธ i have been there many times..they are my Family.. Kika, Laily, Mega, Said, Asrul, ....,EVERYONE EVERYONE EVERYONE TREATS ME LIKE A KING.. Breakfast is a buffet but they will not let me go there.. they sit me down and get me my eggs, teh, fresh fruit and when i stop in during they day they get me es teh no gula.. i make sure to go to a fancy shop that sells very good chocolate Bars and buy 6 assorted big ones for them and A bottle of Wine for Kika and Laily to share. the food is 10000% PERFECT, THE CHEF MAKES GREAT MEALS.. THIS IS MY FAMILY IN BALIKPAPAN. I WOULD GIVE THE ENTIRE HOTEL AND EVERY SINGLE PERSON THERE 10 STARS.. THE TULIPE BAR IS ALSO GREAT FUN..GUYS BINTANG TIDAK BAGUS,CORONA BAGUS๐คฃ๐คฃ the pool is perfect, clean and big. they also do Weddings and events for different Holidays and if you want a mind boggling beautiful wedding meal..Kika and rest will make your wedding beyond perfect..EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF KITCHEN AND RESTAURANT STAFF WORK AS A TEAM MAKING DREAMS COME TRUE LOVE PAPA

Room was clean, bath tub too dirty, AC not working properly,, All corridor hotel bed smell,,, Guest lift also bed smell Breakfast not like my expectation Restaurant Hot ( AC not working ) All food empty ( still 9am) mushroom soup not like mushroom ( this is cream soup) All food no taste cant eat very well I do not know how they cooked ? Only chicken porridge can i eat Very dissapointed for our experience

AAnonymous UserLocation is wonderful. But little dirty and too much noisy. I can hear clearly the outside store music sound until late time and traffic sound also. For the more, The room was not soundproofed at all, so I could hear sounds from the room next door and the hallway very clearly.

GGuest UserThis is probably the best hotel in Balikpapan. The room is clean and comfortable. All the staffs are polite and professional from the front desk to the F&B department. The room service menu could be improve further but I love my Ayam Penyet and Soto Soup. Excellent food. Bfast buffet spread was also very good. Thanks to Karen and Inka for always making sure that all our needs are met. We will be back again soon.

GGuest UserThis is an old 4 star hotel but still maintaining well. The lobby, rooms, restaurant and sitting area are great and spacious. Location wise is not far from airport and town center. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of choices. Will come back to stay in this hotel on my next visit to Balikpapan.

AAslam KaderLocation was good. Next to a mall. Mall was pretty much empty tho. Room was okay as I stayed only for one night. Might have to give a little bit attention on the floor carpet. There's some strangr smell once you reach your floor. Breakfast option was good. Overall for the price I paid, it was a good choice for business travellers.

PpdmancsNeo+ was fine for a 2 night stay. Itโs only 3 years old, so I was surprised at how well worn the room was, but it was pretty clean. The aircon leaked all over the floor on my first night but was ok the second. WiFi didnโt work well at all. Bathroom was quite sp**** - could have done with a couple of small towels and a hair dryer. Breakfast was mostly Asian with an egg station and toaster. The big negative for me was the location - not the best of locations for a visitor, and quite a long way from anything. Down by the water is far nicer.

GGuest UserDuring my Balikpapan business trip, i prefer to chose hotel property in a prime location. Midtown express balikpapan is located in a central town. walking distance with mall, atm, food hall and business purpose. when i noticing this hotel actually 2 star but they had a very decent room facility and breakfast just like a 3 star + complete amenities and they changed it daily, they even give me an additional mineral water. room was compact and modern. suits on me! cleanliness was perfect. i'm happy with the variety of breakfast. complete nutrition; protein, carbo, fish, and few of jajan pasar. The staff service trully excellent. glad to say that the hotel management give them a proper well trainning - although the hotel was fullbooked, hotel staff still give the guest name recognition. - fast respond in every aspect. i request to laundry by morning and its ready by the afternoon. i just asking to the housekeeping โis it my laundry already finished?โ they say hold on, let us check. and the next 2 minutes my laundry is being delivered to my room. wow! same thing when i request a tiny little help and they just doing excellent. So happy to say that i do have a wonderful time in Midtown Express Balikpapan. keep up your good work

GGuest UserWe booked a family room for few days trip, and unfortunately, we didn't have the best experience at the hotel. Service: (+) Firstly, I'd like to acknowledge the kind front office for helping us getting an early check in (1 hour earlier though). (-) The second day we had our room cleaned, when we came into our room, the latch lock stucked the door, so anyone would easily open the door without access card! Fortunately there were nothing missing, we immediately called a complain but no further response or apologize from the hotel. Room: We got an (approx. 40m2) apartment-like unit consisting of 2 rather small bedrooms. Since we were with little kids, so it didn't bother us, but the unit might be cramped for family with bigger kids. (+) Plus point here is we got a small pantry, but no room service menu etc like hotels in general, pretty much felt like renting a daily apartment unit. (-) There were lots of hair on bathroom drain when we enter the room. The worst part is: there were RATS (or unknown animals?) in the ceiling of our unit!! They were very noisy running around every night, made me feel anxious and woke me up few times during my sleep. Facilities: (+) The breakfast was decent though, there were quite various menu, the restaurant was clean and well designed as well. (-) When I was about to take my kids to swim, we witnessed a rat running into the pool drain. The pool wasn't very clean as well, so I immediately called off the plan. The best thing about the hotel is it is located within the same building with Pentacity Mall. For such experiences I had during my stay, I'm most likely not going to stay for the second time.

MmarymMy husband and I really liked our stay here. It was very clean and comfortable. The shared area and kitchen was nice. The staff were great. There are lots of restaurants nearby. Unfortunately the noise from the mosques ruined our sleep but that's normal in Balikpapan.
