I was wowed the instance I stepped into Royal Malioboro, first by the beautiful lobby, followed by our room which was very tastefully appointed and super comfortable. Royal Malioboro is also perfectly located at just a few steps off Malioboro Street but far from the madding crowds and buskers. The train station is also just steps away so while we do hear it occasionally, it is super convenient for catching a train to/from the Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) which is otherwise approx 1.5-2hrs by car depending on traffic (Note: Book your train tickets in advance as they do sell out). There are also plenty of F&B options and convenience stores just across the road from the hotel which levels up its convenience. Just a couple of minor quips. For a hotel of such high standards, please provide actual facial tissue paper. Also, we stayed 3 nights and while I appreciate that sheets and bath towels need not be changed everyday, I think our bath floor mat should be changed by the second night. Replacing complimentary bottled water with a common water dispenser along the corridor is a great move towards being more eco-friendly but I'm slightly concerned about hygiene in view that the world has just emerged from the pandemic. These are not major issues at all but fixing them will push Royal Malioboro towards perfection (in its category).

Small room for a superior type. Located upstairs and need to climb stairs. Luckily they help us carry some baggages to the room. It's only 5 minutes walk to busy Malioboro street. The morning breakfast was nice and simple.

Pas aimé du tout, je me suis trouvé à réserver en dernière minute cet auberge car il n'y avait rien plus de disponible dans le secteur un samedi soir, très inconfortable et ultra basique, certes peu cher, mais ça ne vaut pas plus, vous n'aurez rien ou presque, très mauvais rapport qualité prix, je regrette bien mes sous ! Ma chambre, plutôt un réduit très sombre au 2 eme étage sans ascenseur, donnait sur un couloir, peu d'intimité, pas de clim, ventilo de plafond, pas de frigo, pas de coffre, par contre bouilloire, thé, café, wifi très mauvaise, salle d'eau avec douche mais pas de gel, seulement un savon. J'ai quasiment pas dormi de la nuit tant la chaleur était étouffante, je ne recommande surtout pas cet établissement, il y a bien mieux dans le quartier, heureusement je n'avais réservé qu'une nuit !

The hotel location is walking distance from malioboro and easy to access to other places in yogya. Room was decent but the internet needs to be upgraded. (Less than 1mbps ) it is ok for the price you pay. Breakfast also was decent But the staff was very helpful. I left my stuffs in the room and the staff look for me in social media to inform the items that i left and helped me to arrange the delivery to jakarta.

At first glance the place looks awesome, but after the door of your cottage is closed you find a dirty room. Moult and dirt al over the place. I get it, that is has to be renovated, but cleaning a fridge, sink or even a dustbin is not that big of a deal isn’t it? I think this place has a lot of potential, bit this is just not good. The location is perfect, very close to Marlioboro street, staff was also really kind, but the rooms were simply too bad.

This property looks normal in outside, but inside of the property awesome, very lovely management team, very nice ambience and good taste food, very clean and kean property , enjoy the stay, restaurant and rooms are excellent, variety of available

The stay in the hotel was very pleasant. Also a nice bed to sleep in and a big room. The service of this hotel was very friendly. Our big thanks goes to Moriz & Ekie they helped us very well with our trip in Indonesia, gave advice with the travel, were very friendly and took good care of the dinner as well!! Thank you guys!! The hotel is right in front of Tugu Station, easy to find food and close to Malioboro, close to the Trans Jogja bus stop, breakfast is complete and delicious, the staff service is also friendly, it's just that it's not very comfortable to get a room with a roof view in the original people's house, it's not really nice even though the room I booked was busines rooms.

Arrived on 23 Dec and stayed for 5 nights. The room was pretty small for me and two-almost-grown-up-kids, but it was always clean and the staff made our room everyday. The bathroom is also very compact, like everything is within one or two steps away. The bathroom sink has been clogged since day 1, (the water doesn’t drain fast enough) - already tried to notify the housekeeping staff but no further changes until we checked out. The lighting in the bathroom: the hotel should consider to tear down the bathroom wall so the sun light can come in and add more lights into the bathroom. I like the water quality in our bathroom as it was always pouring, no smell, hot water was always available, and both the tap and shower were in a good condition too. The breakfast menu was standard and the food taste was also mediocre, not too bad and not tasty either. Overall, the hotel need to consider to expand their building, either horizontally or vertically, that being said, they can dedicate one floor as their breakfast area and they can also add more rooms to sell. I like to big window in our bedroom for we can see the city view and night lights from our bed. The TV channel was great, they provided Indovision channels. Light fixtures and bed were also Okay- not too crazy about them but they’re Okay- The hotel location is close to Malioboro - maybe about 200m away. Thank you, and I hope this review is helpful.
