The swimming pool in the villa we stayed in was clean and slightly salty. The outdoor space had a shed, an open air, a parasol, a deck chair, and a coffee set. However, the transportation was very inconvenient. It was a long-distance place. For boats and planes, you needed to contact the hotel in advance for pick-up and drop-off. You had to contact the hotel yourself.
The hotel is simply gorgeous! Beauty is everywhere! Well-kept area, wonderful food! The service staff is attentive to each guest, care and love are shown every minute! I would like to express my deep gratitude to everyone who took care of us throughout our stay at the hotel! šÆ I recommend this hotel to everyone!

Location is good, thats why i chose this hotel. Its not on the main street. But Im solo guy so this is best for me. Near to jetty and near to one and only night market and main night life area and all cafes. Hotel offers bikes rental and day trips with reasonable price. Its good enough for solo or couple who would go for diving for few days on the island. If u r in gili for more than 2 days, Iād suggest u go north to explore better hotels and different experiences on the island or meno or air would be for you. Very near to the beach for sun rise as well. Bfast is superb and other meals as well. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Pool is normal but they managed to use for the available space for it. Close to local mosque but they do provide some kinda ear plugs for that. But its just few mins during the day. Highly recommended. You cant expect very good hotels on the island with less crowded crowd and this is good enough for few days esp when its close to the jetty to leave.
Nice villa in the jungle. Some part of the villa (specially master bathroom / open air shower is too open with a broken bamboo gate, it surely needs to be fixed and the lighting can be improved so it could be 5ā and nicer;
This Villa is so amazing & heart melting, Although the road is still very narrow & hard to go through specially at night, but living 3 nights at the villa is perfectly nice & comfortable. Only thing missing is TV š¤

From the moment we arrived until the time of our departure, the staff's commitment to ensuring our satisfaction was evident in every interaction. Please convey our heartfelt appreciation to everyone involved in making our stay at Tunak Resort a truly memorable one.
We look forward to returning and enjoying your hospitality once again.
The hotel was such a pleasant surprise. The room was spacious, clean and quiet, it was a very private place.
The infinity pool over looking the sea was perfect. The staff were friendly, food was excellent. I definitely recommend this place.
It's not well known to many people, but it had great service and great facilities. You were so kind and helpful from start to finish.

AAnonymous UserIām going to start w the positives. Amber is in a beautiful location on a private beach with nothing around. The walkways are lush with blooming banana trees and pineapple plants. I used the spa everyday while I was there. The treatments were all wonderful and in a peaceful ambiance.
The staff was very friendly from the front office to the walkways and in the restaurant. The restaurant was very understaffed on Saturday night for the bbq dinner. The servers were great they just needed more hands on the floor. It seemed the manager of the restaurant just sat up front on his phone all the time.
The hotel is very family oriented and I didnāt pick up on that at my time of booking. Kids running and screaming all day long. Parents, nannyās and staff yelling for children that were running around wild all day. At Breakfast, lunch/pool time & dinner they were multiple familyās just letting the kids run around everywhere. There wasnāt any peaceful time at the pool to read or relax. At 1 point there were 12 small children at the pool on Sunday. The one day I didnāt got to the pool because it was so crowded.
I love the room when I checked in but that faded quickly. Lots of mosquitoes in the room. I killed at least 10 by hand and every time I left I sprayed the poison can they left in the room. The bathroom had a terrible smell all the time.
The bedding was dirty dirty not stained it was unwashed. I left the clean room sign on the door all day I figured by the time I got back from my massage it would of been by 4:30 and it was not.
The comforter was covered up by the blanket and never changed since prior guests. It had blood marks that had not been washed for who knows how long.
I was bit by something in the night on my face around 3:30am and my face swelled up. I turned the light on but couldnāt see any insects. It hurt so bad. I told the front desk the next morning and they got me an ointment to put on it. It was swollen for days and very painful.
I had expectations that it would of been amazing but it wasnāt.
My food was all delicious, the restaurant staff was very nice and friendly, the spa was great but the structure of the hotel has a lot to work on for the price. Iāve been in lombok for 2 months and Iāve never seen so many small children.
If it was advertised as kid friendly I would of picked somewhere else.
Even at check out a family was also leaving and 2 of the 3 kids were crying and I said there has been kids screaming and crying every hour for the 3 days I was there.
Wi-Fi doesnāt work in the rooms
For the money there are many better options in south lombok
RRobertWe were looking for a nice stay for 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay.
The beach is black sand with a lot of rock at the low tide line so that is a consideration if you want to go in the water. I waded a bit at high tide, and there is a fair bit surf action, but most of my time was spent at poolside. It is in the middle of nowhere so if you want to go to town, it will require a taxi or some form of transport as Mataram is 30 minutes by car. I was not interested in renting a motorbike so taxi it was.
The food and staff were excellent and most staff were very good in English.
Overall, 5 star rating from me
GGuest UserHad to wait 30 or so minutes for our room to be ready? First room was very noisy from adjoining rooms and above. They obliged by shifting us to a beautifully quiet room which was lovely. Service and food in the restaurant was a bit hit and miss. Overall, if you can book a good room the hotel and location is wonderful.
QQingjiaowojiangege0916The hotel exceeded expectations, the surrounding environment is quiet, the greenery is abundant, the check-in feels very relaxing, the room is very large with a living room and a bedroom, and the cost performance is very high. The only drawback is that the room type does not have a private beach. It is located opposite the beach. It is an overall great garden hotel.
TTigrah12Amazing experience. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Greeting us on arrival with fresh coconut juice and friendly conversation.
We stayed at the one bedroom villa for four nights. The villa is beautiful, with a big private pool, kitchen, and sitting area. The room is open air, very well ventilated, with a mosquito net around the bed and a fan that blows directly on the bed from inside the net. There is even an AC unit behind the fan for extra comfort, although we found it unnecessary to use. The bathroom is clean and large with a freshwater shower and even hot water! I expected bugs would be a problem, but was surprised by how few were around. The staff brought breakfast to our villa each morning at the time we requested along with hot fresh coffee. (French press coffee. Not instant.) The staff even offered free laundry service for us! Aari, the staff member who catered to us during our stay, is passionate about vegan cooking and offered to give us cooking lessons during our stay.
All the staff spoke fluent English and another staff member mentioned he speaks French as well.
We could not have asked for a more perfect and restful location. Highly reccomend for couples or people looking to get away from the crowds. Please check this place out!
Thank you to Aari and the other wonderful staff!! You are so kind, welcoming and sweet!
GGuest UserHotel is really quite nice and excellent value. Rooms are clean and made up each day. Beds are great and linen is as new.
Staff are super friendly and helpful and always greet you with a smile and hello.
Food is good. Breakfast has a lot of selection and is well presented. Lunch by the pool was very nice too.
Pool is excellent as is the beach in front of the hotel with direct access. But wear googles if you plan to spend much time underwater in the pool as the chlorine is present.
A nice selection of local eateries on the beach 400 m South of the hotel that are wonderful places to enjoy the sunset. Just use your phone to translate the menu and understand that they are alcohol free. But you can easily feed a family of four for 250K idr with dessert and drinks.
Drinks at the hotel pool bar are quite strong about half the price of Australia so good value. Mostly Indonesian clientele but everyone is very friendly.
We saw quite a few European guests but we were the only Aussies. Lombok certainly isn't overrun yet and is much quicker to get around than Bali.
Probably my only concern is that Senggigi as a location hasn't really recovered from the Covid shutdown yet. Great place to base yourself for Gili Islands, the Wild life park, White Water rafting, and the Waterfalls north of the main Volcano. But Not a heck of a lot to do in Senggigi itself.
EElena LavechThe hotel is certainly beautiful, like a picture. A corridor of flowers leads from the sea to the houses. There is everything for a comfortable stay, but the breakfasts could be improved. Overall the hotel is good, pleasing to the eye, the staff is trying hard.
GGuest UserMixed feelings
The room I initially booked (paid extra for AC and hot water) was just dirty and I could not control the AC bc remote wasnāt working so it was always on
I could clearly see that no one had cleaned it (see first three pictures) and tbh bathroom felt unsafe with electric cables next to shower
I asked to change and they tried to give to charge me extra for another room - I told them either I have what I paid for (AC and clean bedsheets) either itās ok they pay me back and I leave
The staff said Iād need to talk to the manager and when I said ok bring me the manager they never got them and offered me third room without paying extra (feels dishonest that they didnāt show me this one first)
Bedsheets were okayish (so many weird stains, see pictures) but this one had no hot water - and they clearly said that I got downgraded. They wanted me to pay extra for the upgrade but do you think they paid me back the difference for the downgrade? Of course not (feels dishonest to charge extra for things you paid for initially but no pay back when you provide less than was paid for)
I donāt know how much a hotel like this needs a pool (which was really nice by the way) when theyāre so close to the beach. Maybe they should put the pool budget into clean rooms and hot water lol
BBrandonAmazing cosy hut with friendly stuff, cool night chat with their stuff and music at night . away from the busy party sites and not too far from the jetty.
