I had visited moonstone alibaug The customer service is very good, staff is warm and always ready to help however i feel its not worth the price as i spend a good amount of money and booked 2 rooms for 1 night. I had booked 1 beach cove and 1 coco hut. The cleanliness and upkeep of the place is not very good. The health faucet in beach cove was not working properly, AC was leaking, it wasnt very clean too. I had been here on saturday and there was live music which was great. They did have games like sequence, cards and uno and many more however the condition was bad and the games werent complete. While making the booking the sales person did mention that i shall not charge for activities and the indoor and outdoor games are included. Rackets were in super bad shape. If i could go back and change my decision of visiting moonstone i would do it for sure. The only reason for me to visit this place is the customer service provided to us

Although i did not informed the property my time of arrival, but when i reached 7 pm at the property there was no one to welcome. I had to literally wait to see if anyone comes on the gate. I myself opened the gate and entered the property. Later a lady came and called two other guys for help. These guys did not bothered at all. I had to open the gate and close the gate, when enquired they said there is no one on the property, the owner has not appointed any guard so the gate should be open and closed by the guest only. No proper answer at all. These is no cafe/restaurant of the property. Only if you take the package for good then only you will get food otherwise you need to travel 4-5 km for lunch or dinner. The swimming pool was not cleaned. The electricity/power was frequently shutting off. Rooms are good, peaceful and pleasant. But everything i experienced was self service. I had no satisfaction for service so i moved out the next day even when i paid for the stay of 3 nights.

The place is around 6km from Mandwa jetty and an auto ride will cost Rs 250. If you are interested in spending some quiet time away from the bustling Alibaug, then this could be a good choice. We visited on a weekday and there was no other booking. The charges for a day visit with room is Rs 1400 per head -- includes breakfast, lunch and tea. The charges for food only is Rs 1000 per head. The food was simple, but freshly cooked. The piping hot modaks with ghee are a must eat. You can also walk to the Awas beach from the back gate of the cottage and spend some time there too. Overall, good for a day visit.
