Best Hornafjordur Hotels

This is the best hotel in the whole Iceland trip. Reception is super friendly and helpful. All corners are new and clean. Restaurant provides nice food at reasonable price. Free hot tub and sauna facing the glacier. I am just unlucky that the weather was so bad that I cannot really enjoy the view. Breakfast is a must add item as it is so worthwhile. It’s a perfect location if you visit the glacier tour or visit Jökulsárlón.

The hotel is located next to the gas station at the entrance to the town and the rooms are simple and clean. There are supermarkets and various handicraft shops nearby. It is a very good choice. Although it is a shared bathroom, it is not inconvenient at all. When I booked it, I didn’t bring breakfast, but it was actually provided. Although the hotel is not big, it feels very warm, just in the town. All aspects are very convenient.

Hepburn really had to set the hotel early, because it was too late, so I lived in two places with my friends. I thought this cheap would be very bad. The result was much better than I thought. Although it was a public bathroom, the small apartment felt neat. The kitchen equipment is all available. It is a good choice for overnight stays. The neighbors are of high quality. The used utensils are cleaned up and quiet. They are much quieter than each other. It is much better than another hotel with more than 2,000.

The room and the shared area are clean but one disadvantage is that you can hear each movement from your upstairs or outside your room, even they walked. Besides, the self- service laundry is a bit overpriced for us although maybe I do not have much idea on how the market price in Iceland shall be. The location is quite ok and parking is convenient. And there is sufficient space for the shared area to no matter enjoy your meal or take a rest. By the way, the bed is too soft for us and the amenities in the room is quite simple especially the coat hanger.

The owner of this homestay is very kind, the kitchen equipment is very advanced, the indoor environment is hygienic, the room is very beautiful facing Hubo, I will book this homestay again next time, very good.
