La struttura è ben posizionata per chi volesse visitare Pavia. Ambiente molto pulito e prezzo adeguato. Il personale lascia molto a desiderare, al limite della maleducazione. La colazione del mattino non è tra le migliori. In conclusione è un posto ove pernottare può anche essere piacevole e probabilmente lo terrò in considerazione. Ma dopo aver provato centinaia di strutture diverse nel nord Italia, per conto mio, siamo alla sufficienza.

Le Stanze di Cardinale is a wonderful place/location to stay while exploring Pavia and the surrounding area. It’s located right in the center of town on the city’s Duomo piazza. Restaurants, sites and the train station are within walking distance. In Pavia you are centrally located to easily take a train to Milan for a day trip or even stretch to Genoa. The only challenge may be parking a car, we use the trains and friends, so I’m not certain. I am sure Paolo could provide information, he is a gracious, welcoming and a helpful host. Our room was spacious, comfortable and always clean. My wife and I come time to time from America to visit friends who live in Pavia and wouldn't consider anywhere else to stay. This is an incredible value for the money. We highly recommend it.

From the positive side: - Hotel Excelsior is in the square of the main railway station, and it is in good position to visit the city. - My room was big, with a comfortable enough bed and a small balcony. - Breakfast was barely OK for the price I was charged (8.00 euros per day). Staff were friendly. From the negative side: - Insulation from noise in the room is almost non-existent: from outside I could hear passing trains day and night, and from rooms nearby people talking aloud. - The bathroom was small, with a very noisy fan, and with a shower that was far too small (less than one square meter) and without any place where I could put the soap. - Checkout was very early: at 10:30 am of the day of departure.

I write to tell you that your stay in your building was bad; my wife and I had to bed ourselves, asking for the handcuffs for your face. Sweet environment, bad bath with dirty shower and its broken accessories. Driving roll broken. Unusable boxes without a stick and a stick for sticks. Soft floor. I think it is unacceptable for the mobile fair. I do not think I will use your structure any more or less to suggest it to friends and knowledgeable people.

Hotel located near the railway station. Very modern structure with essential interiors. Unfair cleaning. Very nice and affordable owner. Presented inside the dressing room and coffee machine. If I come back to Pavia, I'll use this hotel.

Finding this gem was a highlight of my holiday in Italy. Dear Lara my host, was so personable, friendly and informative. Her good company was charming. Her recommendations were all top notch! I was so fortunate to hear some history about the house and its original occupants, which I found fascinating and uplifting. My apartment was a delight. Spacious, beautiful and spotless, it was a home away from home. In a quiet neighbourhood so not much traffic at all. I had the best sleeps there. The breakfast was generous and delicious. The ambience in Villa Marisa was calm and welcoming. I truly did not want to leave. Lara's suggestion for dinner at nearby Nuova Panarea was inspiring. I returned each night I stayed at Villa Marisa. Nuova Panarea is a 10 minute walk away. Lara kindly arranged for transport to the railway station upon my departure. This was the icing on the cake for me! Her kindness and genuine care was so heartwarming. I know I will return..
