My daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute. Hotel modern and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and spacious. We had a Mountain View which was a bonus although road noise initially at night was noticeable but soon became quieter as the night progressed. The village of Sëlva is lovely and supermarket is great! Pool and spa facilities top notch in the hotel and food great . Special thanks to Sam for looking after us so well. We’d love to come back and do yet more hikes!

The hotel is not in the main town of Santa Christina. It is thankfully just off the main Val Gardena road, which is so busy you almost want to call it a highway. Matt was very nice and informative and helpful. The restaurant staff were lovely. Breakfast is very good and the restaurant food is very good. The rooms are TINY! And only one pillow per person and they are so tiny . Also the bath towels feel threadbare! We were in a so-called triple room, but it's actually a TINY double room with a third bed shoved in. Considering the fact that you ski there, there is one TINY cupboard for 3 occupants with winter clothing! The bathroom has a tiny glass ledge for three people to share! Also, there is no tea and coffee making facilities in the room as there is no space. Our room had no view. We looked into a wall. Wifi was not great. You have to pay E5 to wash your laundry and another E5 to use the tumble drier. To get to the laundry room, you have to walk outside in the snow! Then walk through the smelly ski boot room!

My husband and I stayed here for four nights recently, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was far enough away from Ortisei to be quiet, but close enough to be walkable. We walked to the two lifts in town and that worked well. Our room was large and clean and had a really nice balcony that overlooked the town, and the sound of the river was nice to hear at night. The people who work there were very helpful and friendly, particularly the woman who does the breakfast buffet and makes the coffee to order (Alina?), and the woman who runs the front desk. I loved the Val Gardena part of the Dolomites and would absolutely return someday and stay here. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It was by far our favorite hotel of the five hotels we stayed in during our trip to Italy.

Excellent location & great variety of breakfast . We stayed for 5 nights. We am particularly impressed by the outstanding service of Peter at the Reception. We arrived late almost 8 pm . Peter greeted me outside the Hotel Entrance and showed me where to park . He helped us carrying our heavy luggages to our room. Later, for the first time when we drove our car out of the garage , we didn’t not know how to make payment. Incidentally, Peter appeared and showed me with patience how to do it . When we returned to the garage a few hours later , we found it difficult to drive through the driveway into the garage. Peter suddenly showed up and helped us out in this difficult situation. The most impressive is that Peter did all these in a most helpful attitude and pleasant manner . He just appeared every time in our difficult situation like an “angel” to us. He also told us that the Pope has stayed in this hotel. We were impressed when we saw pictures on the wall of the Breakfast Room that 3 Popes have paid visits in this Hotel ! We will certainly recommend this hotel to our friends for the excellent location and Peter’s outstanding service . Peter : Thank you for everything !

Everything about the hotel was great . Great location. Friendly staff who were always helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable and spacious room with great views. Breakfast was brilliant but the evening meal was always exceptional . Very knowledgeable and helpful waiting staff , Dritains wine advice was always very helpful and informative. I didn’t use the spa but heard very positive things from the rest of the party. The pools are great: I never thought I’d want to swim in a ski resort but the pools are so good I did most days..I have skied many of the resorts in the Alps but this is now my favourite ski area. Things we loved during our stay: Location - located near the town center close to restaurants, shops, and all the activities; it’s not smacked right in the center, so there’s still quiet feel to it. It’s also in the picturesque section of the town. We used the bus to get to Ortisei and the hotel is just walking distance to the bus station. Room - we stayed in a room that is spacious and comfortable. Amenities are okay. Toilet is of good size and to our joy, it has bidet. Must commend the room cleaning too for splendid job in keeping things tidy. Breakfast/Dinner - breakfast spread is with lots of choices and things served are tasty. Love the natural honey straight from the honey comb. Enjoyed the breakfast specially with friendly staff. We had to leave very early during the last day, and they gave us breakfast/lunch box. The dinner option in the hotel is at a reasonable price. Went for that during our last night and was our best dinner in Ortisei. Service - staff are friendly and very pleasant to talk to, without overdoing it. We particularly liked that they offer free guided hikes especially useful for novice hikers like us. We loved the hikes, as we were able to maximize our time and enjoyed the company of our guide Gorg and co-hikers. Doing it with a guide and with the group made our hike a lot more enjoyable and meaningful. If we are to visit Ortisei, definitely would stay in Stetteneck again.

Awesome location! It is tucked away in a little street but literally only steps away from tourist office, the pedestrian shopping zone, and the bus station. It is also close... as in walking 5-10 min ..to all 3 lifts! So we took advantage of that and hiked to see Sassolungo group, Seceda, and the Resciesa. Great staff service!
