The location of the hotel is twofold - not in a very tidy area, but that's not the hotel's fault, but it is only a 10 minute walk to the port to catch a ferry to the Isle of Capri and there is a supermarket (with alcohol) just around the corner). It's a large hotel, with a huge foyer/lobby, which houses the reception area, a lounge (with a large TV), a bar and two central lifts - two lifts in a hotel; what a bonus!! The total area had retro furniture, but it was a little sterile, perhaps too cavernous and the bar was only open for limited hours. Notwithstanding that, the accommodation was good. A large room, comfortable bed, good shower, although perhaps the bathroom was a little small in proportion to the room, air con, safe, fridge and free wi-fi. No complaints whatsoever. The breakfast room/restaurant is on the top floor with a great view over the port and the Tyrrhenian Sea and on a clear day, you can sea Capri. It is an enormous room with some very large, round tables, which is great for a group of people to converse with each other, but with 14 and 30 seats respectively, perhaps just too big. Breakfast was good for cold options, although no orange juice or decent bread for toast. Our tour included dinner in the restaurant as well and that too, was very reasonable. All in all, a good stay for two nights.

A very nice week spent in Marad Hotel with family, strategically located to visit Naples region including Amalfi coast. Very comfortable rooms, very good restaurant with menu changing every day (not common!) and a very big kudo to the hotel staff very nice and always smiling (special thanks to Donato, Rosario, Pepe, Pasqualino).

The hotel is marvellous. The staff were all eager, polite, and kind - that's reception, cleaners, and hospitality. I couldn't fault anybody. The room was excellent with a great shower room and gorgeous balcony. I asked for a kettle and it was promptly provided. The hotel is clean and beautifully-decorated with a magnificent, bright foyer. There is outdoor, al fresco-dining. The dinner menu is sparse, but a similar price to a restaurant and good food. There is a decent variety for the buffet breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, boiled eggs, some fruit, and a selection of cakes. The hotel is situated halfway round the bay from Napoli and up a steep hill, on Vesuvio. Therefore, you will either require transport or be a fit walker. The railway station is down the hill and buses are rare, as are taxis, and stop at 10pm. The train into Napoli takes 25 minutes. Tickets are €2.6 each way. Take care of valuables on the train. Hotel Sakura is an immaculate hotel with splendid staff

Good good berry good. Sit on the bed and see Sorento and Capri Island far away. There is a beach right in front of you and a food truck comes in the evening. It is a hidden attraction that only Italian locals come. All the staff are friendly and clean the room every day. The room is big and spacious. Breakfast is free but the menu is not varied. There is a small theme park next to it, which opens every weekend evening. There are many Italians on weekend evenings. The sea is really beautiful. However, it is a bit difficult to move without a car. You only have to go by train, but it takes about 15 minutes to walk from the train station. It's not good to walk because it's not good to walk. Recommended to rent. It was good to have a decent mart right next door. The Internet is a little poor.

Lovely staff in reception and pool bar. We were two girls traveling alone and although we felt safe having a room close to the reception, it was unfortunate that we had the breakfast kitchen right next to the room, sharing the bedroom wall with the kitchen. We ended up being woken up early every morning when they started working in the kitchen. The room was up to expectation, very good cleaning! Although we would have liked to have the sheets changed at least once or more during our week long stay. Breakfast was perfectly adequate, although more savory options would have been nice. It did have a good variety of sweet options, which was fun to try! Overall, the vibe was not too pleasant. We felt like we were imposing and that the daily Italian guest at the pool did not like tourists, which unfortunately brought our stay down. With the daily Italian pool guest it made the pool crowded and the pool area loud. But luckily the area by the beach, were the hotel guest were allowed to sunbathe were much quieter and calmer. Overall, the pool situation and feeling like we were not welcomed by the daily pool guests brought our stay down.
