Best Manazuru Hotels

We--two couples--booked our trip to Japan in December 2022 very late. So our options were limited. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. There were 3 downsides. First, there was no attached bath. There is a sink outside the WC so you can brush your teeth in your room. But we ended up taking our showers as couples. It used to be called a ryokan but then changed its name without changing its facilities. (And no, we did not use the pool/spa as one of us found a p**ic hair floating.) Second, the hotel was difficult to locate. It's on a hill with narrow alleys leading up to it. We stayed two nights. So we needed to get our car there only twice. The first, we were very close and had to get the help of a fish-shop customer/staff to lead us there. Much thanks. The second time, we still had to drive around a little. Keep in mind that this is December and as tourists we were returning at 8 pm. The breakfast (optional) was very good. Highly recommended. The third downside is that the hotel rate you see is PER PERSON. This hotel ended up being the most expensive of our entire 10-day trip. The upsides: the male staffer/manager was very helpful. The view is indeed what you see. It's calming indeed. The hotel itself is a little tattered with the wall paper peeling off slightly in my room. The light above the sink worked, did not work, worked. Overall, I would not recommend this to my friend. The lack of an attached bath is a deal breaker.

I'm being harsh, but this is a rating for a tourist inn. I've rarely seen accommodations where toilets and electric pots are shared, so I guess it's more like a training camp.I think it would be great if the concept of a training camp is a place where young people can have fun in a friendly atmosphere. Good points Homely atmosphere Haagen-Dazs service after meals Reasonable lodging costs Fresh local fish Easy to make reservations Points to be improved ・The bedding, including the futon cover, is old and shabby.The pink sheets are slightly yellowed.・It's a wooden house, so the noise from the rooms downstairs echoes, so please call out to customers who are making noise at night.On that day, there were students downstairs who were making noise and singing until 3 a.m. ・When you open the door, you can see everything in the room, so you should use a partition or something to hide it.You can't invite your family or female friends, and you shouldn't sleep over with your girlfriend. If you want to have a drinking party with friendly friends without meals, there is also a nice bath, so you might want to come back again.
